I like it - mainly the basketball, archery, and frisbee games.

Wii Sports Resort is really fun! I don't know if I'd consider it exercise, but canoeing, basketball and swordplay can get me pretty worked up!

I'm looking at Sports Resort just as a fun "family get together" type game. Something my husband and I can have fun doing together when it's rainy or insanely hot outside.

I also borrowed EA Active from her and loved it! I think I will be buying that one before Sports Resort. I did the 20 minute easy work out and was still pretty beat up.

I love Wii Resort. i love the different variety of games. I don't care for the bowling. The Motionsensor is great and tcks your every move.

I woould check on Amazon. They do run specials on the game. I got mine for $45 Sam's cubb because I was too anxious to wait for it to go on sale. I had previously bought a bundle with my Wii and it came with an extra sensr. So I now have 2 sensors a2 remotes.

Wii resort a great family game. But doesn't provide much of a workout. Wii play it on Friday or saturday night...which is usually pizza night

I think you mean Wii Sports, not EA Sports Active.

Wii Sports is the game that comes with the console that contains tennis, bowling, golf, baseball, and boxing.

EA Sports Active (EASA) has the 30 Day Challenge and contains the leg strap and the resistance bands for a full body exercise. That one is a really awesome workout and got me back into fitness.

Wii Sports Resort is the sequel to Wii Sports. It got rid of baseball and boxing, substituted table tennis for regular tennis, and expanded upon golf and bowling. It also added archery, skydiving, canoeing, biking, frisbee, sword fighting, etc.

I think all games are what you make of it, but I know what you mean about Wii Sports Resort not really giving you a workout. Some of them are just fun, like archery, and won't really burn any calories. Although the canoeing and biking can really kick your butt!

Sport resort isn't a lot of exercise if that's all you are looking for. But for a fun active game that everyone can play, it's great( and yes you can play most of the games with 1 remote, taking turns with it). Pam

Hi there Mommy T--------YES. I AM definitely talking about EA Active. (sports) with the tennis, baseball, golf and bowling.
I get more exercise with this --especially the tennis than I can get with an hour of wii resort..
thank you for making me clarify. i am not talking about Maddon...I HAVE NOT tried maddon..
thanks for enduring me rants here!!!!!

We love Sport Resort.Everyone from my grown son( loves table tennis and basketball)to my barely 5 yr old grandson ( loves speedslice)to everyone inbetween (I can't get enough of wavesurfing). Even with just one remote we have lots of fun with it. Also, if you have Wii fit plus, the island is the same so it's so much fun to run or bike on Wii fit plus and ssee the same things.Pam

Katie...if you're willing to sell it on ebay to buy another one you'd probably be out more money than if you just go buy the game and 3 more motion plus thingys LOL.

It is definately NOT an exercise game, it's just a fun interactive game. Although I was sore for 3 days after sword fighting a friend. LOL...we found that if you whack each other on the head you can knock the other off quicker...doesn't work as well if you both know that secret though. LOL

I've actually never played the basic sports on it, only canoeing, seadoing, archery, sword fighting...and I don't remember what else. I'm on the verge of buying it myself but I have a couple of friends that I can always borrow it from when I want.

Here lately I've only been using my wii to exercise.

If I recall correctly, there are games that you can use 1 Wiimote/motion plus for and still play with more than 1 player (the games are where you take turns playing anyway).

I think it's a lot of fun, and the added control is really cool too.

Question for THISISIT2: are you talking about EA Active or the different games made by EA Sports (such as Madden)?

(Personally, I'm not an EA Sports fan--I do like EA Active, though. Nothing against your opinion at all, and definitely agreeing with you on that it depends on a person's likes/dislikes quite a bit.)

Compared to EA Sports (tennis, golf, baseball, etc.)
I think Sports Resort is A W F U L...and not worth the money.

We play it maybe once a month now...but always go back to EA Sports...this all depends on ones likes an dislikes but if I had to do over...i would return Sports Resort.

Haha T, I was just thinking that! I just got the basic Wii Sports which I really never use, and now new people get colored Wii's and Sports Resort and all kinds of stuff for the same price. It almost makes you want to sell the old one on Craig's and buy new...hm....jk :)

It's probably one of the best games for the Wii, especially multi-player without the need for lots of thought. We only have 2 motion plus sensors, but that's enough for four people to play most games. We love the frisbee games with the dog (and frisbee golf courses, since we play that in real life). The sword play is pretty neat as well. When my mom comes over, she always wants to play the 100 pin bowling.

The motion plus also makes a big difference on your game. It's an accessory that actually does what it should, so it's worth the money.

I really like it, it's a lot of fun, I would keep an eye out on Amazon, last week it was only $35.00 with the motion plus sensor....I like the fact that 4 people can play as long as you have enough remotes/sensors, Luckily I have enough friends that are Wii owners that when we all get together we can play.

Although now...its coming with the wii system...i feel like i got jiped!

I was super excited this weekend to play Sports Resort after I borrowed it from my sister-in-law. What I didn't realize was that you needed the motionplus sensors to add to the wiimote :( The game itself is $49.99 and to get 1 additional sensor (for DH to play) would be another $20. Is this game really worth $70? It looks interesting but I don't know if it is that interesting.
