Thanx everyone! Yes, we have out two cats in the Wii, and the kids just love when they are in the game (especially the bicycling).

We put our two cats for the stats and yes the grandkids love it when they run beside them cycling or running. We weigh them maybe once a month. Funny with all the winter fur gone.

I know . We tried to get one from a shelter but it cost more to get a mutt than to buy our little gal from a farm. Pam

That's hilarious. I'm looking for a dog, but haven't found one yet and the shelters are expensive.

The new Wii Fit PLUS does have a "baby stats" for 3 and under that is JUST a weigh-in (with a helper to hold the baby (at least for my 7 mo. old)). There's also an option for pets (dogs and cats).

This was NOT available on the original, so our daughter was just a "normal" player the whole time--which is a LOT more fun because you get to see her be super-wiggly and then learn to be still.

I think when my son gets a bit bigger, we'll have to create an original Fit profile for him to then transfer over...lol.

I had no idea that Wii Fit took babies into account. My grandson just turned 3, so I guess I should have let him try it out this past winter. Next time he visits when the weather is bad, that will be something to look forward too. We have Punch Out too, but I've never tried it. He has been using cell phones since he turned two and plays lots of games on his mom's iphone, but I never thought about the Wii. Duhhh!! Thanks Mommy-T!

Our daughter (turned 3 in Feb.) has been playing since the Wii Fit (original) first came out. I think it's awesome that it adopted her into Plus as an "adult" user (instead of changing to a baby, even though it's supposed to be a "baby stats" until 3) when we first got it. She's still far from perfect, but she's pretty awesome at these games.

Besides things like Wii Fit/Plus, she also plays Punch Out! and Super Mario Bros. (the 4-player game, as well as some older versions). She also plays Super Mario Bros. on the DS as well as the newest Pokemon game, plus some that are a bit simpler to play (Puyo Pop and Hello Kitty in the Big City).

It's pretty awesome what kids can do--and to watch them improve as they practice. They're smart cookies!

My grandson is still too young yet, but my friend's granddaughter kicks our butts at just 5. It can be a little hard on the ego. Gotta stay in shape to keep up with the kids and it's fun just being with them!

I have to agree that kids need to be active. I buy lots of toys that encourage activity and can't wait until next year when we can Wii together.

We grownups sure can learn from kids. Just try, you don't ahve to be "good' at it, to have fun. Pam

That's awesome. :) And what a great thing for them to be doing, too. Seems most of the kids ride around in toys with electric motors in this neighborhood, which I think is just INSANE. They need to be burning energy, not riding a lawn chair up and down the street. No to mention that they're NOISY - the hard plastic wheels on the street.

I'm sitting here, waiting my turn on the Wii. A ten year-old boy and two seven year-old girls in queue with me. I'm so inspired by them. On my Wii Fit Plus, they have played games I haven't even tried. Or some I tried and never did again. But, they dive in, even the little ones, who aren't really into video games, show bravery and perseverance I haven't had. They have inspired me to try all the games, keep it up, go for it. Not give up. I guess that's a lesson for me in all my "exercise life".

Life is what you make it. Why not choose to be happy?
