I love it, it's my primary work out at the moment. I'm gradually working my way up, still only beginner to basic, but at least I'm having fun and getting moving!

I love DDR too, but I just have to get used to the fact that I'll NEVER get past the harder songs on "Expert" mode. I can't see how a human being can move their feet so fast :P

DDR is great! It doesn't seem like "exercise", but I sure work up a sweat.

I'm a DDR freak, finally have a workout I love! :) I hope to invest in some of the other Wii Active things, but right now, DDR is enough for me.

When does the next DDR for Wii come out? I do wish they'd do one for the Beatles. That's an idea!

I was playing "Beatles Rock Band" at Best Buy yesterday (09/09/09). Didn't buy it, but I had the thought:
If they came out with a Beatles DDR for the Wii, I would DEFINITELY buy THAT!

Anyone else think that would be fun?

Oh yeah, and not all my foot steps count either, but usually I find that I've shifted my position a little on the mat and I'm not hitting the arrows as cleanly as I thought I was.

I agree, mine misses the hit as well. I thought it was a mat, so I bought a new mat and it didn't matter. It may be the wii machine.
then, if I hold the hand toggles and move them as if that were the stomps, I get the points.......what gives?

maybe I have something set wrong?

I have also had problems getting it to recognize some of my foot stomps. I thought it was because my mat was old (I am using the one from DDR1 until it wears out), but it may be a problem with the game I guess. It sometimes misses the stomp even when I jump, so I don't think it's a matter of not hitting it hard enough.

Anyone ever had any issues with the mat not recognizing your foot stomp? I sometimes have issues with the lefthand pad. Granted, I generally keep my weight on that side and use my right foot for the right, up and down stomps, so maybe I'm wearing it out?

I found a trick for the hand movements. If you just move your hands to the correct beat (up and down), you hit every hand stomp (sorry I keep calling them 'stomps', I'm not sure what else to call them) without having to pay attention to the hand symbols at all. I COULD.NOT. play until I figured that out. I'm slowly working on getting perfect scores for each song. Though if you do as much of the 'Groove Arena' setting, you get more songs. And can use your own Mii to dance with...

I like Umbrella as well, and the cover of the Maroon 5 song (Makes Me wonder? Is that what it is called??). I thought the dance music would be kind of annoying but I actually have liked all the songs!

Yeah, I really like the groove circuit mode becuase I feel the need to beat the goal they set. Last time I worked out I finally "started over" so that I can get some doable goals again. My son played a while back and got the groove circuit way too hard for me...

I just got DDR2 yesterday! Fumbled with it yesterday evening, but really got into it today and starting getting better! It is fun, it definitely sucks you in because you want to do better.

I just ordered DDR 2---it should be coming this week! I've had DDR 1 for a while now, and I really enjoy it. I can't wait for some new songs though.

What do people think of the hand motions? I find them super distracting. I've started working out without them.

I have both DDR and DDR2. I like them both. I wear a HRM when I work out with them as I don't find the workout mood very accurate.

I record using one of the dancing options, depending on how energetic I feel I have been. Frequently use the twist...

How do you guys record your DDR exercise on the SP site? I'd love to get DDR2 - I'm still using the first Wii one and I love it. I do the difficult level on workout mode and it keeps me moving and sweating and like someone else said - you don't even realize how much time you've been going. Sometimes I'll set a time goal and after it yells out "GOOOAALLL" I want to keep going - especially if I'm working at bettering one of my scores. There aren't many exercises that I WANT to keep doing even when they tell me that my time is up! LOL

My FIRST goal is to be closer to 200 than 300.....

I'm at really big dance freak. I don't go dancing or anything, but I do love to dance when I can. If could do DDR in my apt ( I live upstairs) I'd probably own it. I'm a free lance dancer so I'd probably like the exercise part of the game but the routine dancing I suck at. LOL

I totally suck at it, but I work up a sweat and am always surprised when I stop and look at the clock. You get wrapped up in it and don't realize how much time you've spent - anything that makes you forget time while exercising is good.
