It is for me, but it's like a lot of things--the more you put into it (the bigger and more vigorous the motions), the more workout you get. Also, the better you get, the better the workout. But more important to me, I enjoy it, so the time I do it flies by.
And bonus for me, my daughter was getting a tiny bit pudgy (which is not so good for a majorette), and I got the Disney version of it (with Hannah Montana and High School Musical songs). She's slim and toned again. :) She LOVES it, and flies through the expert steps faster than my eyes can register which step comes next!
