If you do the whole journaling thing that's in Active, notice that you don't get a gold medal unless you also journal outside activity. So even the program expects you to ramp up your exercise outside of the game. And do crank up the difficulty levels--I just did a "hard" difficulty day instead of my usual medium, and I think it said the calorie burn was over 200. And my body bugg usually says I've burned more than the Active reports, so it might depend on how fast you move and how much serious effort you really put into the program.

Just a suggestion...buy a heart rate monitor if you don't already have one. I have one in watch form that was fairly inexpensive. I do the medium version of the 30 day challenge and am normally burning about 120-140 calories according to the workout. However, on many occasions my HRM tells me that I've burned over 400, sometimes over 500. Even with the Wii wand and nun chuck, the workout video will never really know the intensity you're putting into it which is why the HRM might help. Good luck!

I wasn't successful in completing the 30 day challenge in 30 days but I'm still doing the workouts. I was feeling the same way though, like I should be working out longer and buring more calories. SP recommends 30 mins/300 cals per day. The 30 day challenge doesn't accomplish this so are most of you doing another workout elsewhere??
I haven't tried the 20 and 30 minute set workouts or customized my own yet. Maybe that would be more beneficial.
I completed the 30 day challenge today and do feel better but I guess I was expecting more as far as possible weight loss. There was probably only two days where the calorie count was above 200 and I need more than that. I'm definitely going to keep doing it but think I'll do the day's workout twice or add another workout.
