I put it down if I don't need it and put it in a fanny pack when I do the free run because most of my workout clothes do not have pockets.

I found out my mistake as I had put the remote down for a second and forgot to pick it back up LOL...I even got a pair of shorts with a side pocket just for the remote too...we live and learn I guess...Merri

Sue, I just realize it today that I don't need to hold the remote as much as I thought either....

The games on the wii board really don't call for the remote at all...it is easier for me too..Merri

it depends on what exercise I am going. I hit myself in the head with the mote doing yoga. Now I put it down, when I don't need it. That hurt!! emoticon

Interesting thread & to see the various approaches. Myself, I put it down for everything that does not require you to hold it (e.g., for boxing, running, tricep dips). In the beginning, I found this annoying, but now I have a table nearby & figure the additional reach/bend to pick it up adds a tiny bit to the workout -- LOL.

Hmmm, I hold mine most of the time, but I'm going to try putting it down for the balance things as I'm always over to the right a bit to far. I hadn't thought of that.

It depends on what I am doing, I sometimes hold it. I do put it in my pocket when I run (I try to remember to have my exercise pants that have pockets that it won't fall out).

I noticed that if I put it down that my center of balance becomes right on during the daily body test. If not, I am off by a couple degrees on the right.

I hold mine on my wrist for everything...never thought about putting it down to weigh in though...I think I will start that right away
