I found out my mistake as I had put the remote down for a second and forgot to pick it back up LOL...I even got a pair of shorts with a side pocket just for the remote too...we live and learn I guess...Merri

Interesting thread & to see the various approaches. Myself, I put it down for everything that does not require you to hold it (e.g., for boxing, running, tricep dips). In the beginning, I found this annoying, but now I have a table nearby & figure the additional reach/bend to pick it up adds a tiny bit to the workout -- LOL.

I hold mine on my wrist for everything...never thought about putting it down to weigh in though...I think I will start that right away
