Danisaranac1: no you aren't! My arms are flailing. I'm tripping over my feet. And as far as my hips move, forget it, they don't! I figure I'm burning more calories than people that are coordinated.

Am I the only person that feels like a bumbling nincumpoop whenever I do Zumba? I mean, I'm just glad that I don't do it in front of other humans! I swear, I am all left feet.

I love my WII workout with the tennis, bowling, and walking. I feel as if I am on the treadmill when I use my WII to walk.

Even without the EASA2 community, it is still a great workout. And you can always come here for this community instead. I was so proud of myself for completing the program (9weeks or whatever), but I was so ready for a break from it by then too.

On my days 'off' this week I got the zumba core and I got ea active 2. ea active looks cool but I am disappointed about the online tracking and community being shut down. But hey, I got it used and didn't have to pay anything for it because I traded games in.
I'm excited about trying them out.

I just got a wii and I got the wii fit+. We're having a lot of fun with it.
The machine has no common sense, though. This is my first time with a wii anyway, so the board and everything was also a first. When I tried to set up my profile I had it facing the wrong way. It told me I was super skinny and my BMI was .87. Yes, POINT 87, not even a whole number.
I figured out my mistake and turned it around. It was SHOCKED and DISMAYED that I had gained so much weight. It gave me both the ! and the ? It then asked me a lot of questions about if I was eating more or something since the last time (5 minutes ago) that I weighed in. It finally got a hold of itself and then set a goal for me to get down to my birth weight. It is convinced that at 5' 4" I should be around 9 pounds.
Instead of arguing, I made another mii.
Glad to find a place that talks about wii games for the fitness board.

My new favorite Wii game is Walk it Out. It's pretty expensive though, I bought it used on Amazon for about 40 dollars. I've been playing it with a mini trampoline and its pretty addictive.

Just have to say "10 Minute Solution" is the worst Wii game I have played probably ever. It either goes at snails pace or flies through moves and it gives no instruction on how to do several of the moves. Definitely not worth even the $9 I paid for pre-owned.
This is the one and only time I have tried it so if anyone has a better experience with this game, please share. Maybe it is just me!

Played MJ: The Experience last night for my cardio. Played for about 50 minutes. While I don't like that it sucks at detecting proper movements, I love popping it in and dancing around to burn calories!

Got the Fitness Expert trophy for 50 workouts in EA Sports Active 2 today.
Only 5 more workouts, and I will complete the 90 day program! I haven't missed any yet, and sometimes that is the only thing that motivates me not to miss one -- it is a great workout, but sometimes hard.

Boo. Site I ordered EA Sports Active 2 from, two days later, sends me an email saying they were actually out of stock (even though they let me order it) so they didn't end up charging me... so I went right away and ordered it from Amazon. A website I know I can trust. I hope it comes really soon!

I have some questions about the wii fit games. There are 3 I am really struggling with: golf, the bird game, and skateboarding. In golf it says to really lean on your right foot, well if I was leaning anymore on it I would be jumping on the board. Is there some trick to it? And the bird game I keep flying in opposite directions, it's tough. Skateboarding is kind of hard to maneuver too. Any tips about any of these? Thanks.

Just checking in . It has been a long time since I have posted anything on this page. I have not been using Wii fit that much at all these days. However, I have been checking out Just Dance 3 Game lately. Has anyone else tried Just Dance 3? Needless to say I need to get back into a more steady routine with Wii Fit and OutDoor Challenge.

I agree about the calorie burn differences. I saw someone post that they used a heart rate monitor while doing EA Active 2 and EA's count was way too low because they don't count the burn between workouts, even though the heart rate is elevated. Exerbeat has longer workouts which will count more calories. If nothing else, this makes me feel better :)

Rest day on the EA Sports 9 Week Program, so did 5k Your Way Walk/Jog Program W1/D6 - walked for four minutes, then jogged for one minute, repeated five more times (total workout time 33 minutes).
FUZZIEBEAR3 least favourite is the squat to jump I definitely 'feel the burn'! Most favourite are the running round the track and the step.

I have noticed that. It really seems that Exerbeat shows a very high calorie burn. I know after doing some of the EA active workouts I have thougth that's all when it came to calories.

Apparently different games calculate calories differently. Here are several from my workouts recently:
Now, Walk It Out does not have the same effect on my body, so yes, I agree it is less calories than the others. And I think it is accurate, because it is close to what I get in SP when I enter the activity as walking 3.0 mph.
But Exerbeat and EASA2 feel about the same to me for a workout. And the activities are similar, although EASA has more strength/interval focus and Exerbeat has more aerobic focus. But the differences in calories seems excessive.
Honestly, I think EASA2 is skimping, and Exerbeat is overinflating. Anybody else notice this?

Today was a rest day in EA Sports, so I did a workout with Exerbeat instead. Lots of fun. I think mixing things up a bit is a good plan.
It's interesting. A couple weeks ago, my quads were aching from the exercises, and I appreciated the rest days. This time, it is not my quads, it is my glutes.

This one was longer and burned more calories Lots of leg work too, so I'm glad tomorrow will be a rest day on that.
What is everyone's favorite/least favorite in the EA Sports activities?
I love/hate the things that make you squat and then jump + running --- like the mountain biking. But it really gets my heart rate going!

Wow I am really loving this group with the safari challenge and all ! Since I started so late its really motivating me to want to collect as many calories burned as I can each day :)
Also I have really gotten into Active 2 for wii. At first I was concerned that it wasn't getting all my movements on a couple exercises. But I've figured out if i keep on plucking away at it I am able to figure out what part of the exercise I am doing in correctly and get it registered. Or in some cases I just need to move the bands a smidge. The 9 week plan on it is really a challenge for me but i don't want to fall behind so it is really keeping me coming back for more. Good stuff

I enjoy Just Dance too. I have a party several times a week. I also do the moves for Wii sports. When I play Wii golf I walk in place after each strock to get to the place my ball landed just as if I was walking the golf course.

When playing wii tennis do you get up and move like you are playing or do you just do the arm motions. My DH does the arm motions only, I like to get up, move and reach. I'm out of breath by the time I finish playing. (today one game took 19 min)

I'm so glad I am not the only one not doing too well in the timing and rhythm department! I am just going to keep going... one day it WILL click! I have spent the past two days sitting with my BFF's mom in the hospital, so she can get things lined up to get her mom in an assisted living spot. Working and sitting with M has left me tired at the end of two long days... so I just haven't played on my WIi... I have done a BT each morning, and have dropped a few more tenths of a pound. I hope to get back into my daily Wii-ing tomorrow after work... I actually have missed it!

My shoulder has been bothering me lately so I thought I would give it a break from Exerbeat and do some Zumba. 20 min of Zumba and I can feel it. I have no rhythm at all but I just keep moving and try to get the hips going in the right direction. Did pretty good.

I have noticed the same thing with the wii fit step. It seems I am in a consistent rhymthm but the wii board doesn't think so. As far as WIO I use the remote and numchuck. Haven't figured out the secret to the timing yet either.

How does one tell if your Wii balance board has lost it's mind? I make no different steps on mine, and it will say "OK" or "Perfect" at it's descretion during the AdStep game... when I have not changed the way I step at all! I am charging it once a week, as well as the remotes. With the WIO it also seems that the steps do not have a rhyme or reason sometimes, too.Would shoes have anything to do with it? Hmmm... I keep going regardless! It is a machine, so it is flawed. I just wondered if there is special maintenence needed occasionally. Or do they have to be "tuned up" after so many hours of use? It has me exercising, so it IS a great thing!

Had my best WIO yet! I walked 2.6 miles, burned 299.1 calories in 85 minutes! I had no idea I was walking that long! I just may finish this weeks challenge! YES! I CAN DO IT!

Hi all. I just joined and didnt' see a place to introduce myself. Just wanted to say hi.
I have the Wii and I do love to use it. I don't use it everyday because I try to challenge myself by doing other activities. Some of the games I have are Wii Fit, Wii Fit+, Biggest Loser, Zumba Fitness and I believe that is all.
Have a great day!

What is a plateau, anyway? When you are not seeing results in weight lost, inches dropped, or improved fitness for 4-6 weeks, you have probably hit a plateau.

OK. I have figured out how to manually enter my workouts... My Omron Pedometer calculates calories... DUH! Here I could have been counting ALL of my Wii games! Oh, well! lesson Learned! When I figure out the EA Active stuff, I'll make even more progress! One day at a time, one step at a time!

I managed to do 37 minutes of WIO and 33 minutes of WiiFit+ this afternoon. I tried the juggling... not my forte...LOL! But it will be better next time! I really enjoy the Rhythm Parade and the Island cycling. WIO is getting more interesting. It doesn't seem like a long time at all... my endurance is geting better. My Wii age was 51 this morning. I'm going to bed early and hit the Wii first thing in the am. Hope everybody had a nice weekend!

I didn't work out at all yesterday. I was exhausted from Wednesday, and yesterday was a very hard, long day at work which left me in a lot of pain. When I came home, I crashed. I have been faithful to do a body test every morning... today was day 90... 10 more days to 100! WOOHOO! I was up 5 pounds this morning... I know it was from the double pain meds I took yesterday. It certainly wasn't what I ate! I hope it is gone by Sunday, so I will meet my goal for the 1st of April. If not, I know I will soon. The water WILL come off. I was only .8 from my goal last week. To "see" the weight increase would have been disasterous 6 months ago. Now I KNOW what is important... not the number on the scale! My clothes are looser, I feel better(90% of the time), and because I know I am eaing right, and exercising more than ever before I am assured of seeing those numbers go down eventually. Bodies are fickle...especially when you have RA. The weight can fluctuate daily. I am not discouraged! SPARK ON! WII can do it! Progress not perfection! And I AM MAKING PROGRESS!!!!

Oh! The Wii Fit+ Rhythm Boxing IS fun! It may help my coordination, for sure! I am getting the Rhythm Kung Fu better, and am not missimg any movements now. My timing is still a bit off, but I see improvement each time I do it. I tried the golf/driving range. I cannot hit a golf ball IRL, so this will take awhile to go anywehre with. I shall persevere! LOL! Was too busy out chasing cows this afternoon to get much Wii in tonight... But I assure you, 7 little calves make you "work" it! Those little varmints are QUICK! LOL! Hope everyone has a good evening!

Good for you trying the dance, but just first try and on to other kinds of exercises right? Hang in there it does get to be fun.

Well, one thing I learned today is that I cannot dance... I tried the Just Dance 3. Failed miserably. Should I have started with the original Just Dance, or do they all assume you can dance to start with? I WILL not give up. I will do it one dance at a time until I figure it out! The Exerbeat seems like something I can do, and eventually do well. Again, one secion at a time. I opened the EA Active 2 package, but didn't put it in the Wii or set it up yet. Perhaps tomorrow afternoon. I tried the Wii fit+ driving range game today, too. Well, I have never played golf, so I sort of failed at that pretty badly, too. I'll not give up! I was not born coordinated! LOL! It has taken me a week to understand and get a decent score on the Rhythm Kung Fu... As a child, I never took dancing. I took competitive roller skating. Now, I could dance on skates! Rather well, actually! On two feet? Forget it! This white girl ain't got NO rhythm! None. Nada. I am lucky if I am walking straight... So, using the Wii is going to help me gain some balance, and hopefully, instill a tiny bit of rhythm in me! If I can do it, anybody can! Yes, Wii can!

I took Thursday and Friday off from exercising, as I didn't feel well. I didn't do a lot today, so when I cranked up the Wii, I didn't even realize I'd played 41 minutes! it was a nice feeling... that I had accomplished something and enjoyed it at the same time. I'm looking forward to trying our my new games... Just Dance3, Exerbeat and the EA active 2. I'll just check them out tomorrow and decide on a plan of action for Monday. Hope everybody has had a great weekend!

I just checked out the bingo and challenges... they all look like such fun! I'm still tying to figure out my Wii, and I am making progress! I ordered the Exerbeat today. I haven't even used everything on my Wii Fit+ yet... I WILL get to all of it eventually! LOL!
