I have the DDR. It's what started me working on actually working out a bit. I was amazed at how unresponsive my body was when I first started and that's where I started focusing more on doing something. I played it alot for a month and got to the point where I can do all of the songs on basic (even 99 balloons) and about half of them on difficult. Trouble I ran into is that I can't get over the hump with the faster songs. I don't know if it's the speed or the lack of my ability to make the changes. Either way I've been very random with it for the past few months. I'm hopeing that the time with the Wii Fit will make it easier and perhaps start alternating the 2.
They are supose to be coming out with a new one in the Fall. I really hope they do!
Oh, and Wii DDR does have a workout mode that counts calories and such. the songs just come one right after another if you pick the right mode (i can't remember what it's called atm). I also will just do free play, put it on basic and keep hitting random.

I too thought the treadmill idea would be great, but my treadmill is too far away. I use the treadmill and log it as other exercise on my Wii. I love so many other things about my Wii that I don't need to use it for jogging in place.
I have the DDR for PS2. I love it. I have heard that that one is much better than the one for Wii. My understanding is that the Wii version does not have a workout mode like the PS2. If I remember correctly it doesn't track your calories and you have to go song to song stopping inbetween. On the plus side if you like the 80's they do have a lot of older familiar songs. You are also able to play with two people, use your hands and toss moves to each other. I am going to wait to see if they come out with a better version of it.
I had the same idea, but hadn't tried it yet. I have a manual treadmill and have never tried running on it... I really don't care for the thing, but I don't have room for a big one. I might have to try it out tonight.

What a smart idea! I'll try that today! Thanks for posting. I am having so much fun with our wii fit. Does anyone have the DDR for the wii? If so how do you like it? I'm thinking that will be my next purchase.

I can't stand running in place, so since my treadmill is in the same aread, I wondered what would happen. It works. You can either put it in your pocket or hold it. I ran one long run and one Island run and it ended up being 1 mile. Have fun!!
