Do you remember that commercial for shoes? In each commercial and advertisement there would be the words, just do it.
Is there something you know you need to do but are not doing it? Just do it. Do you need to start exercising? Just do it! Do you need to find a new church, or start doing to church, or go to church more often? Just do it! Do you need to start exercising more, well, stop saying, " I need to find time to exercise." Get up off the couch and stop watching that TV, and just do it!
Stop putting off until tomorrow what you can do today, tomorrow may never come. And I am not saying you might die, although for some people, they WILL die before they just do it. I am saying, stop putting off until tomorrow what you can do today, tomorrow may never come because our time is limited on earth. You might not do it for a year because you keep talking INSTEAD of doing. Don't you know that if God wants you to do something He has equipped you with the ability to do it; that all you need to say is," God be with me, and help me as we embark upon my journey," and it will be different from any other time you tried to do it alone without Him? Don't think you can start something you God started, and then say, I don't need him any more, I am doing a good job. I can't tell you how many times I have heard and read, I prayed for God to help me (lose weight, through a hard time in my life, stay positive, whatever) and it was going great. I forgot to keep asking for God to help me, I stopped reading the bible, before I knew it God was not involved at all. Then months passed and I was right back to where I was before! It was ONLY then that I realized God was left behind because I had walked ahead of him.
Have you left God behind? Where is God in your walk? Is he right beside you holding your hand? Is he carrying you because you need rest right now? You know even being one step ahead of God is enough to slow you down and cause you to chose the wrong path. Because you were one step ahead & God was not there to tug your arm and gently say, "This way will get you there faster my child. There are no pits to fall into, and no uneven surfaces which will cause you to stumble."
I write these words through God's inspiration, but I also write through my own experiences I have dealt with. My own mistakes I have made. I have made a lot of mistakes a long the way, but I refuse to live my life as a re run, doing the same mistakes over and over.
Dear Jesus help me and my team to always stay close to you in our walk. Never to be even a step further ahead of you. Dear Jesus I thank you for this day. Please keep my sister safe as she travels to my house today. In Jesus name I pray amen.
