God desires us to live abundant lives, rich in love and spiritual power. If we are not, something is clogging the pipes of blessings. It takes us daily looking into the Word and allowing it to shine the light of conviction into our hearts to further the process of sanctification, so that the same mind that is in Christ will be within us. How thankful I am for the conviction of the Holy Spirit and the power of the Word!
There is nothing we can do to make God love us more; there is nothing we can do to make God love us less. -- Philip Yancey

for me a new ability to respond(the way God wants me to respond), accept the way i was in the past, a horrible person that did some pretty awful stuff to myself and others, i knew and chose to do anyway RENEWAL of the mind, RESTORATION Today, I choose to trust God with my life I still have a lot of work to do and growing up and I know I can't do it without God,
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9
You know, Joyce Meyer says that it concerns her when people say that God isn't dealing with them about anything. She said God is always dealing about SOMETHING with his children.
I doubt I will ever be able to say, ya I got it all together. I am so good and learned so much, no, don't need to work on anything- 'cause I got it all figured out! I don't understand why someone would want to feel like they got it all together like that. Ok, I can see, ya, it would be nice not to sin, no one likes to admit they are a sinner. But, when we are perfect, when we have learned it all, been through it all we won't need God. What a sad place to be, an awful life to have. Consider yourself grateful to need God each day. I can't get through most days without thinking of God and this has made me happy. This has cured me from the depression I once had.

Is something you are doing holding you back spiritually?
* I heard this on a christian radio station. The words below are from Pastor Greg's show called A New Beginning. He is a pastor in CA, I believe.
At one time or another the answer to the question above, is something you are doing holding you back spiritually, has been yes. Maybe you have changed your behavior, or maybe you have not. There is always the possibility that there is something you ARE doing that is holding you back spiritually and you are not even aware of it.
How can you tell if you are doing something and your behavior is holding you back? Ask yourself the following questions:
Does your behavior....
1) Does it build you up?
2) Does it bring you under it's power?
3) Does it cause you to stumble?
4) Does it give you an uneasy conscience?
a note from Glittergirl:
If something is hindering your walk with God these weights slow your walk with Jesus. Pray to God for help asking Him to break this cycle of pain, defeat, and bondage. Seek Him through the bible, spiritual books, church, and many other ways. Through your prayers and through your heart God will be there and will help you to change.
Dear Jesus we all have had things about ourselves that needed to change. There has been in each one of us a wall between us and you which has blocked us from having a more intimate relationship with you. Help all of us to grow closer to you through this prayer. In Jesus name I ray amen.
