I can do either; but prefer being the nite owl. About this time of year, I try to change from nite owl to early bird & go to bed earlier & get up earlier so I can get things done without such a late start. My folks were always on me to get up early & not "waste the day" when I was a kid! The Lord is truly with us all the time & I don't know what I would do without Him!

Well count me in for the night owl, worked all night and till noon today and when days come I am home and have to get up early I too am ready to pull the cover over my head. Thanks for the heartfelt reminder Shelly that when we are in the midst of a trial and we just feel like "Where are you God", we have to remember He IS There!! He is just refining us to draw us closer to Him. Have a wonderful and blessed day. emoticon

What a great reminder that our contentment comes from the Lord, not our own sunshine or rain! Thanks, Shelly!!

Rose I like your picture. Thanks for replying. I am glad you found a church that you like. It is important to find one that "fits" you. I had a similar experience a few weeks ago, except it was on a day I was volunteering for a place called the sight center. My morning wasn't exactly the same as yours; however, I was really tired, but made it in to volunteer at 9:30 anyway.

lol, I too don't favor mornings, always been a night owl would rather stay up all night and day then get up early normally but can do both luckily I dont require lots of sleep so it has never really mattered but i would naturally just want to be up all night instead :) Work up Sunday morning and thought ugh I dont want to get up and go anywhere, was getting up to go to church (found one i like close by) and thought i had hit the alarm off but had actually hit snooze i guess cuz it went back off a few minutes later and i was like okay i know its a sign i need to get up and go ...which i did and had a great day and it was sunny an d birds were chirping out that am. So yes he is ALWAYS with us in all we do even when we dont want to do something lol :)

When you wake up each morning does it take you awhile for you to keep your eyes open after your alarm clock goes off? Are you a cheerful, alert morning person? When I was growing up my mom would wake me up on the week ends, and often start asking me questions. I would still be in bed, and I would barely be wiping the sleep from my eyes; there she would be standing in the door way of my bedroom asking me questions. Don't ask my why she had an urgent need to ask me just right then. I would be like,"Mom, my brain is dead, what did you just ask me?" My mom never did stop asking me questions before I got our of bed! She still does it sometimes when I go to visit her! LOL emoticon It took me awhile to realize this, but I am not a morning person.

This morning like most other mornings of my life, I opened up my eyes about eight times before keeping them open and actually getting out of bed. Before crawling out of bedI looked at one of our bedroom windows. My eyes glazed at the blinds trying to determine whether the sun was out or not. I guess I should explain I was up late last night. It was about 12:30 pm when I woke up today. I don't work, but I spend my time doing volunteer work during the day. I determined by the amount of light I saw through the crack of the blind that the sun was not out. I was hoping for another sunny day. Although the sun was out all day yesterday, last week had too many cloudy days. I eventually got out of bed and glanced into the hall way. The way our foyer is designed the sun light from our glass front door shines into our hallway. I was really surprised to see so much sun shine greet me.

As I was in the bathroom, I thought about when I was lying in bed hoping for a sunny day. Although I did not think that the sun was going to be out, I was determined to have sun shine in my heart. That is how God wants us to be with him. If you are going through a hard time right now, or just having a bad day, make it the best day you can rain or shine. If it feels like God is not helping you, or you feel weak within your situation, do not fret thinking where is God? Where has He gone? Why isn't He helping me through this? God is sometimes like an invisible mist in an early morning fog. He is there seeing everything, feeling every tear that is released from your eyes. Every tensed muscle within your body, he knows will be tightened before your body responds to the stress. God is within it all and He is within YOU!

God wants us to go through what ever comes our way keeping him close within us as we go through it. If you wake up and don't feel him it doesn't mean He is not in the room with you. Whether you are having a bad day or a great day God wants you to know that he is right by your side.

Dear Jesus please help me and my team to always remember you and totally rely on you. It is when we totally rely on you that we receive all of your strength, peace, and love. In Jesus name I pray amen.
