We are commanded to walk in the spirit so we will not full fill the lusts of the flesh. The flesh means anything that goes against the word of God. So, to crucify my flesh daily takes hard work and a decision to line my mind, will and emotions which all three of these are my soul, line all of these up with the word of God. Do you know how busy I get doing this on a daily basis and it keeps me out of trouble. It does get easier the more that you practice doing this, its like it becomes a part of your nature. Its like The Father says we are created in His image and likeness and we are becoming more and more like Jesus each and every day that we crucify the flesh. I praise you Father God for her on time message today about staying in the fruit of the spirit.
This sounds so exciting and interesting. I look forward to it :):) Margaret

It is so important that I get the following words out correctly. I want to share something that I believe will change your life in a very powerful way. In the past within different things that I have written I have mentioned to you about living THE LIFE. Living the life that God had died to give us.
More and more I have come to realize that my desire to live this life is part of being the best Christian I can possibly be. Let me explain..... As I develop my surrendering to God, myself sacrifice, my obedience to the Lord, and doing God's will in all things God will develop my character as a Christian.
We all know that God died to give us eternal life,& so that our sins will be forgiven. But how often do we think about the other reason He died. How often do you feel God's Holy Spirit within you? We all have it. It becomes magnified upon prayer, talking with God, and reading, and/or studying the bible, but my friends, IT IS WITHIN REACH...IT IS INSIDE OF US ALL!
The apposal Paul said in the bible that He wanted to live the life God died to give him. That means that there is so much more to God dying so that our sins will be forgiven, and so that we will have eternal life.
If I tried to explain the kind of life God died to give us it would probably take me 3,000 words to attempt to get it right! I don't even have a full grasp upon this! And you know what; I don't want to have a completely full knowledge of the kind of life God wants to give me, for half of the fun of receiving an awesome present is not knowing what it is.
It has come to my understanding that I will live this LIFE that God died to give me by abiding in Godís world, by studying the bible throughout my life, and also by using all that God has given me. (many other things as well) One of the things God has given every one of us is the fruit of the spirit.
What is the fruit of the spirit? You can find them all in your bible. The fruit of the spirit are things we use or misuse in our lives: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. How do these things enable us to become better person? Live on this earth long enough and you have experienced each one of these things. Come and join the thread, I will be writing about the fruit of the Spirit in a few days. I pray as you read you will learn and understand.
Even though God has given us love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance, we don't often feel them or their power in our lives. The first time I ever really thought about them I was watching Joyce Meyer on T.V. She did a teaching on them a long time ago. She said that we have the fruit of the spirit but we need to develop them to be able to use then in our lives. How true that is!
I wrote a thread yesterday called, God's help always prevails. It was about feeling like a failure with my weight loses, and God coming to be by my side and up lifting me. Through asking for God's help he told me that I will reach my weight goal plus become the person I want to become spiritually by obtaining the fruit of the Spirit. Because God brought this to my attention I am going to do a series of teachings on the fruit of the spirit. About a year ago, maybe more I did a teaching within a thread about the fruit of the spirit. Please take time to read it. I am asking you to read it not because I want the whole team to read my words, no not even close to the real reason. I am asking you to read my thread, which will be called, the fruit of the Spirit because I want you to live THE LIFE God died to give you.
No discipline brings joy, but seems grievous & painful, but afterward it is peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
