Oh, my goodness. lol I literally blushed as I read this, and making this old New Orleans gal blush is NOT easy! Thank you so much for your kind words. I don't think I've shared with anybody else here besides Griff part of my testimony whereby I walked (ran!) away from full time ministry as a young woman and listened to the lies of the enemy. I stayed out of fellowshp, out of service unto my King for far, FAR too many years. To be welcomed back into His loving arms, placed in a church home where I am nourished and loved, where I can serve and actively love others is a greater blessing than I ever could have imagined.
When I was searching for recipes online and stumbled onto this site, joined up, started to explore the site, I never could have imagined in my wildest dreams what SP would come to mean to my life, how many doors of opportunity would open up for me to extend the love and grace and truth of God to others. I cannot thank Him enough for that honor. I am so grateful to Shelly for the privilege of serving my brothers and sisters. I blogged once on the joy of service and I truly beleive that as Christias our lives are incomplete if we are not pouring out of ourselves, investing our lives into others. The more we empty ourselves into others, the more He fills us back up to overflowing.
As Shelly learned today, outreach sometimes comes with a pricetag! As it should. It cost our Lord everything. And He gave it without reservation. How can we do anything less?
Thank you again for your friendship, for all that you pour into me daily. You bring me SUCH joy!!
