Amen. I was inspired by your topic. I can't imagine not having God in my life. I can't imagine me walking alone without Jesus by my side. God has placed me exactly where I need to be in this place and time. I am divinely lead.

Well, God has placed me in a sticky situation. Okay Okay so I've placed myself in a sticky situation but he is calling me to trust him through the destickyification (yeah I know that's not a word).

I have three lovely children and a (gulp) good husband. I'm not sure why that is so hard to confess, but we've been through alot in these 10 years. Financially these last 2 yrs have been the absolute worst, but at least my husband is now saved and is no longer the man he used to hide from me.

I thank God for pulling us closer together and closer to Him. And rejoice in the fact there is joy in the coming times, regardless of hardships or heartaches, there is joy and peace through the Holy Spirit, Christ Jesus.

Not state to state but I have been placed in the position of being unemployed with many health problems. Sometimes I have trouble letting go but when I just give things over to God, things do work out. How blessed we are to be able to realise this. We must follow in Christs footsteps, believe, and take notice of his blessings. Follow his every lead.
Thank you for your wonderful words.

Sometimes we can make the simple things so hard. God just wants us to give Him our heart like we have a passion for whatever we like to do like food, a man/woman, getting rich, etc.

God just wants to love us, but do we really let Him. I sit back and just imagine sitting in His arms like little children lay on our chest as mothers or watching them as dad dotes over his little one.

I get so filled. Let God Love you all over again.

Peace and Love

Shelly, as I said in one of my very earliest blogs, I love when people "get it." You always get me, and I love you for that! Yes, you are doing what you know is the responsible and right thing to do, but when you trust your own strength instead of trusting God's strength, you do not bear much good fruit. It is only when we KNOW that it is NOT by might and NOT by power by my Spirit, says the Lord, that we bear much good fruit from our labors. HE is givng the increase... ummm, well, in our case, the DEcrease!

God has put me in may different places during my lifetime and I have aleays met people needing help of one sort or another. I still hear from many of those people today. I trust God in everything He requires me to do. And if I go the wrong way sometimes I know that He will always guide me back on the right road again.
He has helped me on numerous occasions, too many to single out. All I have to do is ask. Life has not been a bed of roses but then He never said that it would be because when you are trying to do His work there is always an evil influence comes along and tries to destroy it. You have got to be strong and rise above this influence!

Thank you all for your responses. Missy (yatmama), I do understand what you were saying. In a tender situation you told your husband what you and your family needed. All the while you were trusting God that he would place His love in your husband's heart. Allowing your husband to respond with God's own love.

I want to share something with you. As I reflected on the past three weeks of my life I have realized that God has put me in several situations allowing me to grow closer to Him, through trusting God.

As most of you know on July 24th I went to PA to take care of my mom after her surgery. I have also shared this with you several weeks ago; that after 10 months of trying to lose weight, I have finally started to lose weight in June. As of the week I was to go to PA for two weeks (July 24th) I had lost a total of 15 pounds since June '09. I told my husband, I have been trying to lose weight for 10 months, but instead of losing weight - i have gained weight, now that I keep losing weight, I am going to be away from my gym, and eating habits, my meal plans, and instead be surrounded with stress, and all kinds of junk food, and sweets. I told him that I was afraid that I was going to gain all my weight back since I was going to be there for two weeks. I told myself that I needed to trust God completely that he would help me during my time of need.

I brought my stationary bike, meal plans, and determination, as well as my faith, to PA for two weeks & lost five pounds!!!

Then after two weeks of being in PA my mom and I decided to have her come back home with me, and stay for two weeks. Now, my husband and I are returning to PA in two weeks for a baby shower. So we took my mom back in our car. Which meant that I could not take my stationary bike back with us. I love my mom and told her that she is more important to me than exercising. However, it was a BIG, BIG, deal for me to leave my bike in PA, and not be able to exercise on it. To me my bike is like a life preserve. I exercise on my bike to ensure weight loss. And these last couple of months my bike has given me peace.

So two more weeks without a proved weight lose element, during a time when I really wanted to continue to lose weight. (While I was in PA for two weeks I didn't have my gym to work out in, and now for two weeks I don't have my stationary bike)

The last three weeks I could have gained a considerable amount of weight. I have been exercising a lot and I been asking God to help me choose healthy food. There has been a lot of stress in my life these last three weeks, however I keep losing weight each week. I am 5'8" tall, in June '09 in weighted 221 pounds, now i weight 199.5 pounds!!

I know that through trusting God I have continued to lose weight. I really believe that God takes us to places, and puts us in situations, wanting us to grow in our faith, grow in our trust, grow in our love, with Jesus being honored.

For me, at this season of my life, God is teaching me to trust Him in relationships. Communication is important for all of us, I know, in every relationship, and I do not want to minimize that. I'm learning, though, to place my expectations in HIM, not in others.

One of my SparkFriends recently used a quote that I love: Do not expect from others what they cannot give. Isn't that profound? I can express my needs to my husband, my children, my friends and family, my pastor and church. God may use them to fulfill my needs, but ultimately HE is the source of every good and perfect gift.

In a conversation with my husband when he was home this last two weeks off (and then four weeks at sea) I expressed some needs in my life, and as I did, in my heart I was so focused on our mighty God, our Jehovah Jirah. In my heart, I kept saying to Him, Lord, I trust YOU, and because I do, I can extend grace to my husband and not place demands upon him that are more justly placed in YOUR capable hands.

Can you guess what happened? From my husband's heart began to flow the very things I needed, like a lovely, refreshing oaisis in a parched land. I was able to be there with him, in the moment, honoring him, and at the same time to rejoice in my God's tender mercies to me.

I don't feel like I've done a good job explaining this, but thank you, Shelly, for the question. I hope I was clear enough to give you hope in situations where people may be disappointing you.

God has placed me in Brooksville, a small town about an hour north of Tampa. He has smiled upon my husband and I, and dealt with me in my hours of need. He's been extremely gracious and has taken care of my family.
I have to ask him daily to be patient with me as I am still learning that God does not work on my time - I work on his time.
I would love to find a bible study and/or church in my area to be a part of.

Glittergirl,

It's so funny this was the topic today. The entire church is going through a consecration. And the Book by Andrew Murray - Absolute Surrender and Returning to Holiness by Dr. Gregory R. Frizell have been so wonderful. We need to always acknowledge God in the Good and the Bad, In sickness and in Health because He is God Alone. If God is not directing your paths then "YOU" are. Then He is not leading you down the paths of righteousness sake. We need to be mindful of the songs we Sing - do we really mean the words coming out of our mouths; when we Pray to we really "Love, Trust, Honor and Obey" God the way we say we do; do our Actions line up with what we profess and proclaim to others. We ought to daily check ourselves before we wreck ourselves. What more does God have to do to get our Attention? My answer is Absolutely nothing because HE IS.

Peace and Love

Trusting God that he will take care of you needs to be renewed in different ways as we grow closer to God. As we develop a stronger more intimate relationship with God, he puts us in places which allows us to grow in ways which we are not always aware of. As a result of trusting God with every aspect of your life, you become more like jesus; as Jesus trusted God with his very being,we must trust God with ALL aspects of our lives as well.

WHERE HAS GOD PLACED YOU? AND IN WHAT WAYS HAS GOD ASKED YOU TO TRUST HIM?
