As close as I feel I am to God, I don't claim to know the correct answer to this question. I think that there are something that are too hard to understand. I am not saying that anyone is wrong, whatever other people wrote, I don't know, I don't read what other people write until I am done with my own thoughts, and have written them down.
This is what I know for sure. God answers prayers. God will always protect you. It may not seems like his protection. We pray, but if things don't turn out the way WE think the answer to the prayer should be, it is so easy to think, " God, I prayed, what happened? THIS surely WAS NOT your answer, 'cause THIS is ALL wrong, God, now I need you to really listen, THIS is what I need, help me & hear my prayer. I need this......and she needs to do ....I can't wait until....because......., so God help me. " Little do we know he already has - WE JUST THINK WE KNOW EVERYTHING, we are not accepting his will.
Now, I don't claim to have answered PEBBLES question, & I don't know what anyone else wrote. All I know is our human nature, and that God knows ALL things. He is never late, always keeps his promises, and loves us in a way we will never understand.
I just know that what ever happens God said all things work together to the good of those that love and serve him. No one ones to go through storms or other bad things in life but he did not say it would always be sunshine but he said he would always see us through. We are winners either way if we die and go to heaven or if God chooses to keep us here longer we can still have his love and peace.
With God, Nothing is impossible!

The bible states that everything will be in upheaval in the last days. Wars, disease, famine. In Matthew 24:5 till about 8 or 9 it talks about the end times. Yes, God is trying to tell us something. That Jeusus is coming back, and soon.

I was wondering how everybody felt about a certain topic.
In the Book of Job it states that God controls all the weather. So that would be hurricanes, tornados, ice storms, etc. Now for the question.
When we see the devastation from this storms and people are hurt or killed, do you think that God in his awesome power is trying to send a message and we should be listening? Or do you think something different?
I have always felt that God is trying to tell us something. My family prayed through the storms for safety. We always have. This year we have had several close calls but we have always stayed safe. Last night I got really scared and was almost in tears when I prayed for God to protect us. Then a calm feeling overtook me and I was no longer afraid. I know my husband's brother's and sister's have a hard time with Daniel telling them that they have to change. That he wants to see them in heaven. They grew up in church but have turned from God and they claim they don't care if they burn and that the Bible is a made up story. He cries so much over them. So now that the tornado hit the town, I wonder if God is sending a message. What do you think?

I asked God to spare me pain. And God said "No," suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me. I asked God to make my spirit grow. And God said "No," I must grow on my own as he prunes me to make me fruitful. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. And God said "No," I will give you life that you may enjoy all things. I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me. And God said, "Now you got it!"
