God takes us through valleys in our lives, so when we are through it and back on the mountain top, the view will be all new and different. AND we become stronger in our Faith!

The Bristlecone trees endure strong winds , freezing temperature, yet, they endure. The Earth’s oldest living inhabitant “Methusalelah” is 4,767 years old. That is endurance!!!

The roots of a tree that is out in the open go down DEEP because they have to endure the wind and rains. Trees in a forest that are protected are weak and not strong enough to endure fires, drought and storms that come.

To God be the Glory!! Praise Him for the valleys in our lives!

MY NEW saying: (borrowed from Delila)

"If you want to do something, you'll find a way, if you don't, you'll find an excuse."

This is a trial or "bump in the road" that we all must go through as christians. It is great that you are trusting in Him only as you should do. I'm happy that you have already changed your lifestyles. Maybe you could "tighten your belt" even more to ensure that you have even more of a cushion for the future. Even the ants store up for the winter. Keep trusting in our Lord. He will care for you in everything. God bless! emoticon emoticon

Yes you can! Believe in your vision. Believe in your goals. Believe in your plan. More than anything else, believe in yourself.

D - Decide on an action plan.
E - Every thing is possible if you believe and work at it.
C - Consider your choices carefully.
I - Invite others to join you on your quest to become healthy.
S - Savor the feeling of each victory, big or small.
I - Invaluable lessons sometimes hurt, but are necessary for growth.
O - Optimism o

I am blessed because I have friends. I have friends who live in upscale communities who are compassionate. They have the money but often they have lost the other that they had worked so hard to be with in their older years.
I am grateful I still have my other one day at a time. Being centered in the Lord and using the "talents" He gives, made a difference in my life.
May He hold you in his Hands.
Psalm 27 The Lord is my light and my salvation---Whom shall I fear? NIV

Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things:... Psalm 98

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though... we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day my day....So fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. for what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal
2 COR 16-18

Doing nothing is the most perfect form of action, when I do nothing there is nothing left undone and there is nothing left to do.... The Way by Lao Tse

God is in control and he will supply all our needs according to his riches in glory.

As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for you O God

My husband came home today and said that the company he has worked for for the last twelve years is probably going to lay people off for a couple of days in November. My husband works for a very profitable steal mill company. They have never laid anyone off. Until three weeks ago it was the only steal mill in the US that was still running 24/7. My husband and I have always lived within our means, we will be able to ride this out and be ok. Realizing the unstable economy, we altered our life style last year. We realize now more than ever that we must make more changes to our life style. We decided not to go out to eat more than once a month. We used to go out to eat between four and seven times a month. We travel a lot, so we decided to cancel the up coming trips that we had planned to take. Today when my husband told me the news my heart started to beat fast. I thought, "this can't be happening to us!" We built a house three years ago, I have some visual problems and I am on disability, so I can't get a job. My second thought was, "you (God) will take care of us. Even if John loses his job, I know I don't have to be scared because God is in control, he has taken care of us before and he will take care of us again." God has blessed us in so many wonderful ways, I have more than I could ever ask for. On this day that could have ended in tears I can sleep with peace knowing that God is the c.e.o in this life of ours! And that is something that I am truly grateful for. YOU SEE MY GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!
