just wanted to let you all know that I LOST 1.5LBS!!!!!!!!!! Im so happy! Im back to my lowest weight of 161.....Celebrating today, cant wait to see what happens from here :-)

I think it got better over the week, but there wasn't a day I was within 10%, I think. Tues, I thought I was, but then I forgot that I didn't log some Pirates Booty that went down the hatch and BAM! out of the 10% was I!!!
I worked out 4 days this week out of the 5. Tues was a snowy, blah day and I just came home from work. Tomorrow I'll either hike or ride my bike for outside as it's supposed to be in the 60's all weekend! Who-hoooooo!

i let myself have junior mints at the movie today....I will stay in my calorie range and my carb range but i know I willnot make my protien.... I will do to richard videos today though so I think i will be ok :-)

So, my pies tell me that I eat more fat than recommended, but my bloodwork and research tell me that's just fine ... so I'm probably not going to change much. I'm pretty close to what I want though! Yesterday w/cookies:

today I a feeling much better...mostly bcause I slept thru the nigh without waking up in pain....tose darned ol' visitors! i have endometriosis! Yuck! im feeling so good as I have kept my goals nd met my challnges head on even with the problems from this condition! yay!
today for my 4/7 I met all "pie" portions except for carbs! I went under.....ug! well we cant always meet everything. I really like thi challenge tho, because I realy have to think about EVERYTHING i put into my mouth and will it help me get to where I want to be?

Essentially, my lab manager is am enabler of my sugar problems, because we had a lab party today which usually means glutenous cakes and cookies that I can't have, but my lab manager bought gluten-free cookies and handed me the bag. Ugh! After that party, I then encountered a sugar-high-haze problem, but being the good sparker that I am, I then proceeded to run up and down 3 flights of stairs 6 times, plus some other speed-walk looping and a couple of sets of push-ups!

My pie yesterday looked essentially like monday, and today I had a minor (read that as disastrous) cookie issue, so with my normal low carb diet that probably puts me at the "typical" pie! i also made hummus with feta and a hard boiled egg in it, so that should be awesome!

Didn't have time yesterday to record all my food, and I know I didn't eat the best, but went & recorded everything, and didn't do as bad as I though. Only 7 calories over, 6 carbs over, but way, way over on sodium and under on fiber.

hi girls, ive just been going by the range for my cal, fat, carb & protien any way.....so Im glad to hear :-)
i made it a gain today.....Im so pround! Its been difficult....ive felt like eating anything and anyone :-) that crossed my path.....well aunt flo came for a visi in the middle of the night (3am) :-) well, at lesat I know whats been wrong woth me this week :-) as for the rest of the time...not sure :-)hahahahahahahah!!!

Minnie: the research suggests that your cholesterol has more to do with your sugar/carb intake than your fat intake. No, really. My cholesterol is great and I easily eat 1 oz nuts, 1 tbsp peanut butter, and 2 whole eggs every day. Avoiding trans fats and keeping certain sat. fats minimal is good, but nuts and olive oil are only good for you (coconut oil too for that matter!)
As for more protein than fat: chicken, beans, quinoa, low-fat dairy (mmmm, Greek yogurt!) are all my favorite sources!

my ratios were good today, but my calories were over and i got only 29 fiber. i don't get it all together.
how do tou get more protein than fat??? without egg whites or powders.
thanks, melissa. i did read they want more fat these days, but my cholesterol is high, too. my fats tend to be good. i eat beef once a week and no hydrogenated stuff. but i can easilly overdo nuts, for example.

I am a Greek yogurt fanatic, but it's too pricey to buy so I just make my own. Tastes as good as Chobani with some added frozen fruit, and I like to eat mine with peanut butter too

I agree...hmmmmm feta.
Right now I'm eating a salad for lunch with low fat blue cheese crumbles. Double YUM!
Also, I'm a HUGE FAN of Walden Farms products. I put some of their Creamy Bacon Salad dressing on my salad. Beleive it or not, it is 0 Carbs, 0 Fat and count em ZERO calories!
Even their chocolate sauce has 0 everything too.
If does no good if you eat a salad and then slather it all up with high calorie salad dressing, so I go the no calorie route if I absolutely have to have a dressing on my salad. Usually, I go without and prefer it that way but today I just felt like a little something, something.
I'll also have a Chobin's Greek yogurt. Have any of you tried that yet? It's AWESOME! I wish I had discovered it during Calcium week! :D

Just for you all, I decided to track and see where I'm at. My pie: C:P:F 36.2:24:39.8
The pie I wanted: 40:30:30
Mmm. Not enough protein. And mostly that's due to my afternoon snack which is lower in protein than the rest. I think I may need to start adding ricotta or cottage cheese or something into my hummus to increase the protein without increasing the fats much. Or maybe feta! Mmmm, feta.

The current recommendations do include more fat than protein. Don't be scared of fat! We need it to function (they are called essential fatty acids), and you need to intake fat to lose fat. Just try and make good fat choices when possible like olive oil!

Well....I wasn't too far off 52.1:30.4:17.5 (Carbs:Fats:Protien) I feel like the numbers for my reccomened should be 50:20:30 but they are 50:30:20...so I am supposed to intake more fat than protien?? Soo confused!!
But it wasn't too bad for a day spent lounging around the house...Today I am on to bigger and better things. I am off on a 5 mile walk that I have mapped out after my daughter gets on the school bus =)

I ate out supper tonight so I'm not sure how I'm going to track my calories but I had a salad with grilled chicken on top. No dressing, just a little blue cheese crumbles. YUM.

I'm in! I like this challenge, really gets me thinking about where my calories come from. Way too often my fat intake is too high. Good luck everyone! Lynn, you totally deserve it. And if I haven't told you, thank you for this team. I look forward to the new challenge every week.

ok so I finished tracking and wow I didn't fail I did awesome hit every track except calcium anyways I can't find what SP recommends so mine are Fat:carbs:Protein 29.1:51.8:19.1 is that good bad? I think my fat and protein probably should be reversed.
Also I'm at work where all the pictures are not showing up due to the blocker we have so I will look at it again when I get home but until then I was wondering if I did good :)

this is neat! I planned out my food for today and my report was good! i made this challenge for today...lets hope I dont snack :-) JK! I really want to loose weight this week! so thank you for this challenge. I really enjoyed the chllenge from last week and being a part of tis team.....you all are wonderful!!!!!

I love this idea. This week is spring break for the college that I work at so I am going to try and make this week a "life changing" week!! I am hoping that by using this team as a motivator I can reach my gw of 135lbs by the end of May...only 30.5 lbs to go =)
My husband will be in total shock at his Marine Corps Basic Training Graduation. It's a present to myself and to him =)

Alrighty! This is an Intake Challenge week. For the newbies, and there are quite a few, I'll just review the Team setup really quick:
Intake Challenge - here we concentrate on things that we want to put in the our bodies or things we want to limit putting in. We do 2 Intake MC's a month.
Exercise Challenge - here we do an exercise or set of exercises, 1 week of the month.
Motivational/Self-Esteem Challenge - self explanatory, we do this 1 week of each month.
The Simplify MC last week was a Motivational MC week, so we begin this week again with an Intake MC. Sooooo, here goes:
Instead of focusing on one item to either limit or increase, this week the MC will involve the SP recommended "pie chart" on our Calorie Counter Page.
Down at the bottom there is a button called "See Report". When you click it, it shows you two Pie Charts involving Carbs, Fats & Proteins. One is how you are doing that day percentage-wise, and the other is what SP recommends for how you should be doing.
Your Mini-Challenge this week, should you choose to accept it is to come as close to SP's recommended Pie Chart for 4 of the 7 days this MC is in effect.
As per usual, post your results here and let us know how you are doing!
