Hobbies: rock climbing, beading, knitting (scarves only), reading, clubbing, I like birds, know a bit, bit wouldn't say birding.

On divorce - lawyers fees can be a killer, once I've gone through the whole process, I'll definitely write up something about how easy it is to do it without lawyers, providing that you are in agreement. it has been very simple so far, once I just did what the clerk told me to...

Total cost: R90 for sheriff and R1000 for settlement agreement by lawyer. Let's hope the rest is this easy...

I know that divorce is hard. You have to get used to doing a lot more for yourself. A few of my daughters' friends are either going through or have been through a divorce in the past months. All we can do is support them by keeping them in our thoughts and prayers, being there as a 'shoulder to cry on'.
You are from this moment in my thoughts and prayers. May God grant you peace, joy and happiness as you move forward with your life. Be positive - you can get through this! emoticon

Hi i have posted here for ages and hopefully now that i have permanent internet i will be able to post more often. I am in the process getting a divorce from my husband of 26yrs and for the last five he years he was been going out with african females and i had about as much as i could stand and when my 2 German Sherpards passed away i felt free to leave ,i have moved 4 times in the last year and 8mths hope this will be the last now.well i might be on the move again .i am on a small holding with the large farm house and then 4 other cottages on it is really very nice out here. only about 10 minutes drive to do the shops, i am very happy here. I will be moving to a slightly bigger cottage so i will have a bit more space. I still have not heard anything from my lawyers and did not get to talk to my husband about what we are going to do. to date i have paid the lawyer R15.350.00. husband has gone on pension from April and he was paid out R300.000.00 which is the tax free portion and he gave me 1/2 so life is a lot better at the moment. i am still waiting for my 1/2 share for his pension and 1/2 the house. he wanted me to take the house which is valued at present at R650.000.00 and still has a bond for R200.000.00 on it which a used most of that money on his extravagant life style entertained his African ladies. hopefully is well phone my lawyer tomorrow and get and update of what is happening. as i say again it is only by the Grace of my LOrd and Saviour that he blesses me every day of my live and i place Cecil my husband at the Lords feet that the Lord undertake for him in a mighty way and show him the truth and the way and light.
GOD BLESS EVERY ONE OF US THAT ARE IN NEED OF THIS GREAT MERCY AND THAT WE WILL BE A SHINING LIGHT FOR HIM.

It wasn't mine in the beginning either. I grew up horse riding, tennis playing and any other ACTIVE sport known to man. But ended up marrying a quiet living IT guy. His hobbies were photography and birding.....I learned to love them more as I learned the difference between the types etc. He cleverly got me into getting up virtually in the middle of the night to sit at a bird hide. By sunrise the sight was so beautiful it actually made me almost emotional. The sight of what felt like millions of birds with deafening tweets and calls got me into it.

I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.

I have a veggie/herb garden too. Music and Movies are another passion of mine. Have a friend who loves birding - made me stop in the Kruger National Park to look at them - not my thing, I'm afraid lol!

Thats a great set of hobbies you have.
I love photography, reading (though finding books without graphic sex and bad language is tough) I love sewing, cooking, gardening, birding and music.
That keeps me pretty busy but always have time for coffee shopping which possibly should have gone on top of my list emoticon

Hi everyone! Thought I would post to find out what everyone does in their spare time (if you have any lol). I am retired, so have a little time for things I enjoy such as Beading (I am a jewelry-holic!); Scrap-booking (very time-consuming), Mosaic, Crochet (current project is a king-size blanket for my daughter - been going at it for 10 years!!!), Knitting (scarves mostly), Cake decorating (this one is my absolute passion, although I only do it for family and friends at this stage), Reading (current books on Kindle - Spark of course!, Eldest, some James Patterson), Sewing (just completed a set for a nursery consisting of donut, feeding pillow, duvet cover, changemat, pillowslip, bumper cover, blankie). Let me know what you get up to! emoticon
