Are you using earbuds? I blew my DD's one for the first time the other day and had a massive fright and ringing ears. Luckily she hasn't figured it out yet, or else it would have to be hidden and only taken out if she has prestic in hers. Can't let you have Vuvu ears.
Hello Sheila! May Bafana and England each win their groups and then play each other in the quaters. That would blow me away! You could support one during the first half and switch after half time.
You have all the cool fan stuff over there in CT! We have a supporter park thing, a converted highschool, but you need to PAY to visit. And then my DH is very security conscious. He gets nervous if we go past certain parts of town. An indian girl that I gym with told me last week that her beautiful little 3yold daughter was almost kidnapped in little old Nelspruit Mall, at Milky Lane. 3 Cleaners intervenend and warned her, bless them. (We are very close to the Moz border here) Yesterday while shopping I experienced my first spontaeous happy soccer parade, and the energy was electirifying. (Have to admit, I thought the municipality was striking again at first, then saw that it was just a happy dancing streetparty with vuvuzelas) And it was FUN!
I am going with my 3 adult children, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren to Cape Town's Parade to the Fan Park to watch the Opening Ceremony on the giant screen and then watch the opening game either there or at the Waterfront.
We will walk along the Fan Walk from the City Centre towards the new Cape Town Stadium and DD2 and I will watch the France vs Uruguay match at the Stadium. We will not be supporting France - we wanted the Ireland team to win, not be beaten in a controversial manner.
I have no idea who I will support - yes, I do! I will support South Africa when they play. I will support England (my origin) when they play. If they ever play each other ... watch this space
