Yes, we would love to see pics of you two doing the coffee thing. And we need to see video of CELEST and her family playing drums and harmonising.

To me HEILAS is the REAL LADY-SPEED JUNKY-ENCOURAGER
CELEST is the SONGBIRD-ADVENTURER-FRIEND TO STRANGERS
SHEILA is the DANCER-DOLPHIN-ADOPTER OF YOUNG PEOPLE
ROCHIEZ is the FOODIE-TRAVELER-GENEROUS GIVER (?)
AFRISAM is the RUNNER-MOTHER-BRAVE ONE (Not very sure about this)
Do you agree with me? What would you add or change?
We are quite a collection of personalities.
Would love it if we could have many more South Africans talking to us here.

My DH invited his mom and dad over (10min notice) during crazy hour (food time, bath time, bed time) while I was cooking for 18 people coming over for breakfast tomorrow morning, inbetween all that also icing a birthday cake. Was standing at the stove, in bare feet, very tired grubby 1year old on the hip, begging him to get the brush and please just brush my hair and straighten the TV room. (Sofa moved so that dear baby can't get to the computer, cushions on the floor, drawers unpacked (the very game that tired the 1year old) etc.
My MIL has a warm heart, but a type A personality with lots of opinions, a perfect home, a full time chef etc...uugghh!
This is so not the person I always pictured myself to be.
That was the most dangerous adventurous thing that happened to me this weekend.

Be Safe Teamies

Hi everyone, looks as if we are really building up quite a little family between us. This so exciting, I thought this team had died and that would be so sad.

Please Sheila, put some photo's on of yourself and Afrisam so we an also share in your meeting.

Have a wonderful time.

God Bless.

SHEILA, I would love to meet you in the real world. 11km is just a hop and a skip, actually.
We always get lost in CT. Should be easy with the mountain and the sea, and you just keep between them, but no.
If you ever come to Kruger, please let me know.

You are right CELEST, we are having fun here. Nice and cosy..
I feel you on the horseriding. My E Grade jumper died 3 years ago, and I am still heartbroken. Caught rugby from DH, got tired of just sleeping through games so he taught me the rules. Then I started praying for my favourites (not to get hurt, be blessed in whatever they do, inherit the Kingdom etc) The rest is history. It is really gesellig in a way, and DH is totally funny when he watches- swears like a sailor.

11kms up the N1 to Canal Walk which is in the middle of nowhere!
Meeting Afrisam tomorrow - maybe she'll get involved on this Board - and haven't seen Rochiez around for a while - not sure when she was due to go overseas

You need to let us know if/when you come to CT - Heila and I will "do" coffee with you, and might be able to bring Karen01 along with us.

Enjoy the rest of the w/e

It's true, but my kids and I put on fairly regular music events and our motto is.....whether we had 10 in the audience or 110 we put out the same performance.
So whether we are only 3 regulars to this team or 33, we keep chatting and having fun, that's what will attract them in the end. I'm embarrassed to say that while I am a TRUE BLUE SOUTH AFRICAN, I never got into the ball game sports. My sports are horse jumping, tennis and dancing. But that being said, I was in a queue to buy electricity when a guy flew into the shop, freaking out about needing to jump the queue because they had run out during the game. OH NO I M A G I N E THAT. Needless to say, I gave him my spot cos sport is sport and without electricity its a no show.

I will NOT run emotionally from compliments and hide in fat layers for protection.

Honey, you have the most valuable real estate in CT! Tell me you have to drive to Canal Walk?!
Yes every single rugby match ended a bit sucky..
I can run 8km/h for 40min minus 8 min (walk those trying to swallow my heart back down my throat)
I think you, me HEILAS, and CELEST have a bit of our own personal team thing going here..can you hear the echos in this empty team?
But I do love talking to you girls..
Really glad someone from Southern Africa won the 2 O.
Hate it when well sponsored wealthy people from Europe walk away with the prizemoney. Did you hear about the man from Zim who won the Comrades last year? That was amazing, no coach no money nothing..ran in front most of the way.
Really hope he gets it again this year.

Mine too :( - I think they were asleep cos they left huge gaps for the Force to run thru - the first Try had never been close but they dozed off! Hope they wake up for next week's game against the Blues cos the Blues thumped the Bulls today!

No - I'm afraid I don't even run for a bus! Have never enjoyed running even as a kid - swimming was my thing.

The Two Oceans passes the end of my road 1/2 km after the start; the Argus Cycle Tour route is about lkm from my house. We are 15minutes walk from the Rugby and Cricket grounds - and 5 minutes from Cavendish and Newlands swimming pool and SACS school - position, position, position

Hello SHEILA! You are right on top of the action. Would you ever run the 21km, or is that just not your thing? You must be very fit from all that aqua aerobics.
I caught the end the highlights of the Stormers game last night during crazy hour- kids food, baths, dress, bedtime...It almost broke my heart!

I'm meeting Afrisam tomorrow - picking her up and going up to Groot Constantia for coffee and get-to-know-you chat if she's not too tired after today's Two Oceans Marathon.

Walked down to the end of the road to watch the start of the half and ultra marathons in drizzle then the day cleared up - helicopters buzzing overhead as I write - first 20 men are thru the finish line - waiting for the Nurgaleyeva(?) Twins to finish - probably going to win again

Celeste, you are on with the scrabble contest when you come to CT. I just love scrabble.

Have a great day.

Wow Celest!
Everybody seems to be waiting for you to come to CT, a scrabble tournament!
Isn't the new romance in your family exciting? You do sound like the perfect mom in law- hands off (except when asked), and fun, with a young heart.
What music do you like to sing to? Wow, I really think that is very cool..I definately don't have a solo voice, but once read the gospels in a recording studio to make CDs. It is the most stuffy room, they must have washed the carpet, it was not completely dry, with lots of suffocating mould. I croaked and coughed most of the way. Love listening to the CDs now though, because it doesn't sound like me, so I don't get freaked out. (Could never listen to my own recorded talking voice) Even DH can't recognise my voice on them, good thing.

I'm a scrabble lady too. Maybe we should have a challenge when I finally make it through to CT. emoticon
I spent the first part of the weekend meeting my sons newish girlfriend. He thinks she may be the one. She's a great kid and suits him 100% but its their decision. We'll see how their dating goes along.
Tomorrow I have a full day and hopefully I can sing the last few songs to go on my CD.

HEILA! How cool that you are a F1 fan! Really Funky! I don't really understand it. Do like to watch the Paris Dakar, which is in South America now.
We often play Monopoly, which always leads to someone fighting. DH warns everybody that he is going to cheat before the time, and best fun is trying to catch him at it.
Have a super time, love you Teamies!

SHEILA! You always do the most wonderful exciting things! And serious excercise!
Please say Hi to Afrisam! She is really fast, her times are exceptional.
Our family are all seriously praying for my aunt who has breast cancer that has spread and had to have a big operation. We are all staying close to the phone and get updates every 3 hours. That is why we are not planning to do a lot except take the kids riding. DH and buddies are in Moz spearfishing, again. Not a lot to do there except spesrfish. Big blessings for your sweet sixteen birthday girl.

What will you be doing this longweekend?
I am taking a group of under 3 year olds horse riding, gyming, gardening, that is it.
Hope you will get up to something more exciting?
