Hey! This is a space for anyone who's signed up for an SP virtual 5k, or even thinking about one. Whether you run or walk (or both), no matter the distance (5k or 1 mile), and no matter what plan you follow or don't this is a space to encourage and support each other.
Last year, I used the SP walk 5k plan and completed the first SP fall 5k by doing one I found in my community. I was 275 pounds and walking that course was one of the toughest things I'd ever done.
Over the summer, I finished C25K and ran 2 miles of another local 5k on July 4th before the heat wiped me out and I walked the rest. Now that the weather is a little cooler I'm hoping to run the entire 3.1 miles. If anyone has any questions about either the SP virtual plans or C25k, I'd be happy to answer them. Also, as someone's who's still a beginner if you want to share your successes or moan and complain about the bad days I'll be happy to listen to those too! Stop in and say hi!
