send them on a treasure hunt... the plastic eggs could be stuffed with clues... to find things like seeds & yard tools for planting freggies or things to do a crafts project or all the crayons in a box spread in different locations... make happy hunting some exercise :)
Hmmm, I'm thinking a spa visit would be WAY too big for an Easter basket goodie. Tulips or daffodils would be my choice.

Luckily, my grandkids are older now and don't expect the baskets. My children were always excited about the easter egg hunts and not baskets, although they each did receive the chocolate rabbit and a box of those spongy chicks. When I was a child, May day was the candy in baskets days. Those were fun and I remember getting many a skinned knee trying to get away before I got caught dropping off those hand-made May baskets.

Good Question !!!! I'm Lucky If I get a Card !!!! But I do Love Easter Lilies that I can plant in my garden so I can see them year after year. But I do have 2 young Grandchildren that I make baskets for... I never include candy but do put in things I know they like... Ex. jump ropes, sand box toys, hair clips, small stuffed animals to add to their Zoo !(this year- a personal misting fan for their beach trip)
Since the Easter Bunny will be hopping around this coming weekend and since we shouldn't be looking for his giant baskets of candy, I thought I would ask if anyone has a wishlist. When my kids were little my DH and I made very small baskets of candy and instead gave stuffed animals or games or something they wanted (within reason of course ...after all it wasn't Christmas). This year I asked the Easter Bunny for a dance or walking DVD, Billy Blanks or Leslie Sansone. What would you like to find in the Easter Bunny's basket this year???
