I'm glad I poked my nose in here. I've been using my iPod Nike+ Running app and was wondering if it would work with the elliptical, too. Thanks for answering my question!

Yep, that is right, sorry, the Nike+ won't work on the elliptical or bike. I believe the fuel band does though.

Thank you! I have been searching for this answer for a long time and I knew it wasn't working for me before, but I was unsure if it was because at the time I had it in a pouch on my shoe lace. Now I finally upgraded to the shoes so I wasn't sure if it would work or not. Thanks!

it does not work on the elliptical, it follows the foot hitting a surface, like walking and running, doesn't work on a bike or a elliptical. It mimic's running yes, but it doesn't "sense" the fall of the foot hitting pavement or treadmill. Cat
