I'd rather exercise in extremely cold, but that rarely happens here so I can't be sure. But I know I absolutely hate exercise in extremely heat.

If you had to choose, would you rather exercise in extremely hot weather or extremely cold weather?

In extreme weather conditions I will exercise indoors.

While I don't avoid competitions, I'm not that motivated by them. I like to read others' reports and I do draw inspiration from others, but I'm in it for myself, and I need to move at my own pace.

Other, I like a challenge if I am on a mellow team. If I am on a competitive team, I do not like the stress of letting anyone down and I do not like being told I am not doing enuf for the team.

I end to shrink away from competition- I like to do things at my own pace. Sometimes it sets me in "perfection mode" and that always backfires for me.

When it comes to weight loss, how does competition (such as weight-loss challenges or wagers) affect you?

I thrive on healthy competition--it really helps me reach my goals!
I tend to shrink away from competition--I like to do things at my own pace
Competition tends to make me too obsessive, so I try to stay away from it
Other

For me....I love a challenge and would definitely do one if it was a healthy choice challenge.

Yes, I would support that, but I only have about a dozen sodas in a year and more taxes would deter me having those.

Would you support a tax on soda as a means to discourage its consumption?

For me....I don't drink soda so that would not effect me. But that being said, I don't think that putting a tax on soda would change the people's mind about buying it and consuming it.

Which causes you to make poor food choices?

Dinner with friends and family
Stress, anxiety, emotions
Buffets-at parties or restaurants
Travel-availability or indulgences
Pressure from others
Holidays, birthdays, other celebrations

For me... a little bit of all of the above. Depends on the situation.

at first, I was motivated by a healthier life, better quality of life BUT, now, I'm enjoying wearing smaller clothes and I'll admit I've become rather vain about how I look. I'm still in it for the health, but I'm enjoying the side effects of this journey.

Go team! Stay strong!

Yes, I am on the computer way too much, hours a day. Obviously it cuts out the time I used to spend on other things. He has had a computer since the early 90s and I hated it. I started using a couple of months after my daughter left for college and my husband got me a laptop in 2006. I really hate this habit and have a real problem. It's actually a relief when the power goes out or when we're traveling and there is no wifi. I have no control.

No. Dinner is the only meal I fix the family so I forget to eat breakfast or lunch on occasion. Never deliberately skip it.

No...it's usually because I'm busy and skipped the meal.

I don't think it's judging, but sometimes when I see a heavy person I wonder if I am that heavy or not. Or hope I am not that heavy. Is that judging? I guess in a way it is huh? I don't want to be. I know myself how hard it is to lose the weight.
