What's the best part about grilling out?

Getting out of the kitchen
The flavor of the food
Spending time outdoors
Getting family and friends together
Nothing- I'm not a fan of grilling out
Something else not listed here

For me...lover the flavors and my DH does the BBQing.

Maybe a little, but they were usually quite positive about it, mostly they were sticklers about posture and standing tall.

Unfortunately and still to this day Yes. I was the girl who somehow woke up with boobs one day (what was a training bra). Now I have my days where I have big boobs that's life and other days where its like oh man my breasts are huge. Oh well.

For me body image wasn't a big thing either back when I was growing up. Hardly any of the Moms were stick thin and adding a little weight wasn't a huge issue. I don't think the women expected to look like a teenager or a young adult.

I'd recommend them all.
When I first joined, I didn't use all the services and I was inconsistent in tracking food, didn't exercise consistently, didn't lose much weight and didn't feel too good about myself.
I recommitted to using SparkPeople about 2 years ago and I now use all the services offered. I'm consistent in posting, I'm motivated to intentionally exercise, I'm inspired and motivated by offered readings, and the recipes can be helpful.

Go team! Stay strong!

I would advise a new member to give all those suggestions a try and use them consistently to start so that you feel comfortable with all that's available. Make a point to watch any videos that teach you how to use these tools, such as the trackers. Don't put if off as you might not ever bother. Find out which tools work best for you. After you know what's most useful to you, drop what isn't. Not everything is for everybody.

I myself love the fitness videos and that is what I consistently use. Otherwise it's hit and miss, I have not been successful at losing weight but I am so much healthier and flexible than when I started, so it's all been very useful.

What advice would you give to a new SparkPeople member?

Log everything you eat into the nutrition tracker
Read the articles and emails to learn more
Use the message boards for answers and support
Utilize the fitness demos, plans, and tracker
Write in your SparkPeople blog or journal
Try SparkPeople's healthy recipes

For me... I would say all of those suggestions are useful.

LOVE it! Who knew--not me--that I've ever wear such clothes. Been a real awakening to pay attention to what I wear for different reasons--not to "hide" my body but to be o.k. with bright colors, fun patterns (not subtle), and rather stylish although I still like some classics lines.
