Wonderfully said and a great rule, especially for me during a very difficult time - I am trying so hard to moderate and balance but don't want to feel too guilty if I slip up and I think being here supports that so very much and it is much appreciated

I love this rule...after all these years I can finally speak freely about my weight without feeling shame...it's been a long a difficult path but I've come to terms with it. Thanks for being here all of you and thanks for all the support you will give me

I want this team to be a fantastic and happy place to come to away from everywhere else where someone has an opinion about something. I got this rule from Go Kaleo and it has stuck with me ever since. My one rule for this team is this:
EYES ON YOUR OWN PLATE!!!!!
What does THAT mean?
It is simple: we are all on our own journeys and since there is no one size fits all for our journey, we need to be particularly careful that there will be NO SHAMING ON THIS TEAM in any form but, in particular, food shaming. We've all seen it. How do you define food shaming? It is simple: it is a judgement put upon someone about his/her food choices. In regards for the purpose of this team and in the face of moderation there is no food hierarchy here. Paleo, clean eating, low carbing, organic, vegan, vegetarian, etc. Whatever your preferred method of eating, it is a personal choice and it comes down to this very simple thing: there will be no food shaming.
When walking the line of balance and moderation it boils down to one simplistic formula -- all things in moderation. There is no question that there are certain foods that are more nutritionally dense than others, that is not in question, but in the face of the industry there is so much junk science that we are told to 'eat this, not that' and therefore an unhealthy balance and relationship with food can be created. For the sake and purpose of this team, a peach has the same emotional connotation of an Oreo.
