I also dislike the term diet. It makes me feel like I am being deprived. Instead I focus on eating well, taking care of myself and moving. If I want a dessert I just get a small one. I find a few bites of something I am craving suffices to totally curb that craving whereas if I deny myself eventually I would binge!

Balance and moderation are my mantras, so I think this team will be a great fit for me. I'll share more about myself and my journey soon. I really hope this team takes off because I think it could be really helpful for a lot of people.

Balance and moderation is not something that generally exists in the results driven world of the diet industry. However, balance and moderation *is* something that we should seek out in all parts of our lives.
I started this team as a way to help me maintain my own sanity in this world. I have been on some form of a 'diet' the duration of my adult life. It is not a way I choose to live anymore. I have no desire to seek out the next best thing or the trendy offering of the industry. My main goal is to seek out balance and moderation.
Even too much of a good thing is still too much.
I have done just about every diet out there. I know what it it means to be sucked into the promised land of the next best thing and as an industry it evolves. Each guru seems to latch on to the next big diet and the followers flock.
I believe in a life of balance. Moderation. Exercise for health (asthetics are nice, too ) nutrition for daily living being able to enjoy all parts of food. I hope that this team can be a safe sanctity away from the craziness of "Eat this, Not that".
