I've made a work-out of my morning routine . . . combining my walking (gotta do 30 minutes a day per my Dr for bone health), with weeding the yard/flower beds, dragging irrigation hoses, watering the lawn, etc.

I got up and walked around the house gathering ALL of the recycling. It took me 10 minutes of walking and bending up and down

Got my step goal. I would have gotten in even more steps but I suddenly got very ill while at the park and had to go home.

Thursday -
Have over half of my step goal already (and it is just noon) because we went to the Y right after breakfast.

Got to work to find a box of chocolate chip cookes, chocolate cupcakes and seven layer bar cookies in dispatch. Asked one of the guys to take it to the kitchen. I did have two chocolate chip cookies (they were small about three bites) and one of the layer bars. Out of sight out of mind.

I invested in myself and bought a mobile hot spot so I have some computer access even if I travel where there is no WiFi or home computer. I felt like it was important for me to remain in touch with Spark friends and resources.

1. Took Metformin and tracked sugars.
2. Reached my step goal. Dh went with me on my walk tonight.
3. Son's Fitbit ran out of battery so I don't know if he got his goal or not. But he did recharge it so that it is good to go for tomorrow.

2. Only got in 3546 steps today. But I'm going to focus on the fact that I got that many steps and not that I didn't make my goal. I could have gotten my goal but I was achy and I chose not to.

1. I took my Metformin and tracked some of my sugars. I'm tracking a bit less now because some meals are always the same and so my numbers tend to be the same for those. Plus, those strips are expensive.
2. I barely made my step goal. But I made it - 4551 steps.
3. Ds did not make his step goal but he did go on the stationary bike (which did not track on the step tracker) so I count this as all good.

Tuesday-
1. Took Metformin and tracked bloodsugars. (I messed up one dose but was able to get back on track during the day)
2. Got in my steps - 4894 today.
3. Was careful to not overdo it.
4. Son got in his steps.
5. When the kids wanted to try out Top Pot Doughnuts I did not order a doughnut for myself but had a bite from each of theirs. That's all I wanted. Followed that with protein to keep my sugars steady.

1. Upped my daily step goal to 4500. Got 4814 steps.
2. Got a salad and soup when eating out today.

Wednesday

1. Took magnesium and remembered to take my vitamin D and potassium too.
2. Took my metformin and am finally seeing good results.
3.Son got in his steps.

5. Am keeping track of my foods and bloodsugars.

And two things that might have been good for my body or might have been bad. I'll know tomorrow.
1. Vacuumed the foyer and stairs at the church. This makes my arms and back very sore and tired.
2. Let Rocky talk me into going up the hill on our walk. Yes, I know he's a dog but he's very expressive when he wants something!

following sp menu as close as i can, seems to be helping. when they run nutrition report. it said yesterday that i was low in calories. that seem wrong because i was near 1500. which is top of my 1200 to 1500. any idea.
