I think of things i wish i had done differently - but in the same circumstance i would probably do the same thing. Sometimes i wonder why i made some of the decisions i did!!

Everybody tells me that they would love to knit, but they don't have time. I look at people's lives and I can see opportunity and time for knitting all over the place. This may be our last day of temperate weather as the temps are supposed to hit triple digits tomorrow . . . so I spent 3 hours deep house cleaning and moving furniture, then 2 hours outside clipping back the rhododendrons.

Definitely got my aerobic workout in for today! I think I deserve a nap!

Had a good evening - but stayed up very late - like about 2 a.m. - and finally got up about 9.

Still coughing so will stay home today - do have a couple of impatiens to plant.

And started watching Doc Martin again! Such a cute series.

The sun is shining a bit right now - we had rain the past couple of days - and looks like it is going to warm up next week.

I am still coughing but feeling much better. Just tire quickly so am still just taking it easy.

Just got up from a nap so am going to have a cup of coffee - watch another Jesse Stone - and knit some more.

Overcast and cooler here this morning - so will probably spend most of the day at home. Do have a couple of errands but that won't take long.

I did pick up 3 more impatiens that need to be planted - not sure where yet - and just have got to get to my fabrics. Want to make pillowcases for Christmas this year and need to see what material i have on hand to start with.

Hope everyone is having a Terrific Thursday!

Did some cleaning in my bedroom yesterday - shampooed part of the carpet, took pictures from one wall and washed it down, My bedroom is very small and tends to be a "catch-all" when i am cleaning the rest of our apartment, So it really needs to be downsized - big time!! And that is my goal for the next couple of weeks - it will take me that long to go thru everything,

Cathy,
i am so glad you are enjoying the beading. I have not done any in a long time. I miss the little bead shop there in Medford - i took a number of classes there, We have a bead shop here ih Pendleton, but the owner is not interested in having classes, Seems like a good way to get new customers.

Do enjoy playing with the beads,

Was planning to go to the Farmer's Market this afternoon and then a storm blew in - rain, wind, and sounded like thunder, So i took a nap instead. Last week i picked up some wonderful lettuce and wanted to get some more. Also a friend has home-baked bread and other goodies.

Now am getting ready to knit some and watch another episode of Jericho,

Finished another book . . . and started 2 more....

The weather has turned cool . . . it was in the 90's a couple days this week. We've already had 2 grass fires..... it's gonna be a bad fire season. Hopefully we'll get some more rain.

Glad you had a good day Barb! Yes, it's time for Spring cleaning. . . .especially outdoors which is what I did yesterday. My backside feels it too - all that squatting, bending.... feels good, in a sick sorta way.

I have beading class today . . . I get to pick up the stuff I ordered last week . . . so I gotta remember my checkbook!!!!

I've finished a number of projects since my last post. I'll have to take some pics.

One of these days if/when you come to Medford, we'll have to see if we can meet up. It's about 90 minutes from where I live and I only go there when I absolutely have to! But it'd be worth it to meet you!

Had a good day yesterday. Did some more "spring" cleaning in the morning - then met with the knitters in the afternoon. My prayer shawl is getting too big to take, so started a dishcloth - that is something i can always knit for my sister and Tom, a friend in Medford. Then went to club for a "walk" on the treadmill.

Had a full day. This morning did laundry and some cleaning. This afternoon met with fellow knitters - always fun. Then to the club for a "walk" on the treadmill. Dinner was macaroni salad, seafood salad and ambrosia from Safeway. Probably not the most nutritious but it was really good for a change. And this evening started a movie on netflix - but am getting quite sleepy so am heading to bed.

Hope everyone has a good night!

We are having a brunch between the services at church this morning. And then some baptisms after. Our baptistry is leaking so we are using a large wading pool out on the lawn. And it is awesome!!

Then this afternoon will shampoo more of the living room carpet - and perhaps a nap - or will read more in my book, The Invisible Bridge.

Hope you are all having a very blessed Easter as we celebrate our Risen Lord!!

I have slipped- well, sorta. Not drinking enough water yet - but am drinking 3 glasses each day.. And have not been to the club as often as i want - but have been gardening about 20 to 30 minutes each day and have been doing more stretching.

This morning will be meeting a friend at the Do Nut shop - we meet every Tuesday. Today we are beginning a study of the book of Revelation. Have a good study to use found at joyfulheart.com. We have been meeting for over 2 years and have had some awesome studies together - the book of Romans and the Name of God.

Love the "Because I Can" But, that does not get it done - i have to get out and do it, So yesterday i picked up some petunias and spent about 30 minutes this morning cleaning a couple of pots, adding some potting soil, placing the fragrant white and pink flowers in them and then setting them out on the patio

I truly want to lose some weight, but reading all the inspiring articles here on Spark People and reading about the success of others does not do it for me - I need to actually do some of the things that others have done - like eating better, drinking more water, getting to the club, and walking more.

So, Because I Can - i am Going to Do!!

Sounds like you're in a beautiful spot Gill.

I'm placing an order for my art class - professional watercolors and a new palette.

So, my project for today is to create an attractive, functional rolling cart for my art supplies so I don't have to carry them to and from class every week.

The other girls in class have the ones they've purchased from the art supply . . . but I'm going to save $50 and do my own . . . plus it'll be customized to my needs . . . and a lot sturdier.

Hi - glad you like my idea, and I am really enjoying it. My birthday is at the end of November - so I've got a few months yet - but it's slipping past pretty fast!

I'm at a friend's house this week (and next) and I have my library book with me to finish. However, on her bookshelf she has The Book Thief which I really want to read.

I am planning to knit a cafetiere cosy tomorrow - I'm spending the day with another friend and we hang out in her holiday chalet down at the beach - chat and drink coffee! and try to do 'craft' things. She's into painting - I usually knit or something like that.

Anyway - I might even get a completed project done!

I wanted to share with you all a thing that I'm doing this year. Not sure really if I could call each thing a project - maybe. This year is my sixtieth - and I wanted to do something special to mark this. I had to find things that were affordable - and I came up with the idea of spending 60 mins on 60 different benches; I take a photo, sit quietly and then note down any thoughts that come to me. I don't eat!

Yes Barb, I live about 5miles out of Cave Jct, where Fire Mt Gems started.
They're now in Grants Pass where I lived for a long, long time before retiring 2 years ago.

Beading is fun . . . but I have so much to learn, so far as which stringing medium to use . . . so far I've been ordering what everyone tells me to get. . . it seems everyone has a fav . . . but I can't use it for what I'm working on. So, I'm going to ask one of the ladies (who happens to also be my watercolor instructor) to teach me cos she knows how to do everything, and she does it all very well.

My passion right now is learning to work with wire (while doing the steampunk stuff for the store's grand opening at the end of the month).

Cathy,
Do you live in Cave Junction - i did not realize that firemountain started there,. I worked for a while at H&D with a gal who had worked at firemountain in Grants Pass.

I really want to do some beading, but have a couple other projects that i want to do. My sister sent me the pictures that our Mother had. Quite a few were of my older daughter. Now i would like to do a scrapbook of them for my 2 grandsons. Am sure there are things about her childhood that they do not know. She is in a long-term health care facility in Salem, and probably will not be going home. Sometimes she remembers and sometimes she does not. I don't know what the final diagnosis was - need to check with my other daughter - she is a nurse and does know.

Have fun with your beading!! I just wish our local bead shop had classes but i cannot get the owner interested.

Started reading "The Enemy" by Child.

Barb, Send me a link so I can see what you're doing!!! Fire Mountain Gems started right here in my tiny little town. Over the years, their operations has outgrown us (local city made it to expensive for them to expand their original facility) and moved to Grants Pass, about 30 miles from here . . . That's where I get most of my supplies. I'm planning to do a tour of their facility next time I go into town.

Cathy,
I printed the instructions for the bracelet but now can't find it - i think i found it on firemountianbeads.com. Will look more and let you know.
I did see the necklaces you made and they are beautiful - am sure you will really enjoy them.

Right now am trying to figure out a sweater pattern i want to knit for myself. It was translated from German and is not quite right - May have to do a bit of improvising.

I am reading Max Lucado's book, " Six Hours One Friday". Read it once before but think it will be a good read now just before Easter;

Almost finished with reorganizing the 'dungeon' into a 'studio' . . . .
I've moved stuff around no less than 3 times, but I think I've finally found a good working arrangement.

Still reading the White Fire novel (Preston & Child).

Time for a doggy washing . . . . and then reading on the elliptical.

Barb, how fun! Let me know what you decide to make. Did you see the pics (yesterday's blog) of the 3 necklaces I've been working on?

Projects:
I have completely turned the dungeon up-side-down over the weekend. I moved 3 big file cabinets, 3 bookshelves and a gazillion boxes. My body feels it too. But I am getting closer to getting my studio set up.

I finished one project - my first beaded bracelet. I don't have all the stuff I need yet so I'm still at a standstill on 3 necklaces.

Yesterday I picked up all the stuff from my last bead/supply order . . . now I can start on the SteamPunk jewelry. I have a meeting with a local shop owner who wants to carry my stuff in her shop.

I'm reading 2 books: White Fire (Preston & Child) & Violet's Are Blue (Patterson) and have 2 more books staring at me.
