That's a great, NSV, Bonnie! Gotta love being called Hot and Sexy in the same sentence!
I had a NSV in a dressing room not too long ago. I ballooned up to a size 24 (occasionally a 26 (try finding that size)) back in 2010 before I lost the weight that i lost before joining SP. So, me and clothes have a love hate relationship. I used to be a clothes horse. Had everything u could think of that was in style and accessories to match. During my dark days (as I call my extremely overweight days) I had pull on pants and very oversize shirts..no accessories needed. I was only 34-35 at the time too. Well, I've been steady losing. Since 2010, I've lost a total of 38lbs. and I tried on a pair of size 18 pants. and OMG, they fit with room to breathe. I cried in the dressing room. Not a full fledged bawl like I wanted to but a little tear up. I have not been in a size 18 since 2004. I was so excited I had to buy them. They're everyday jeans so I can wear them all the time and feel good knowing they're an 18. I had also bought a pair of 18 shorts during the summer. It's kinda scaring me too...Like I'm waiting for the "ok, back to fat" hammer to drop and take this all away.I'm still a ways from my ideal weight, but I'm actually on my way. And then, for my hubbys surprise bday party, I was able to pick out a pair of stylish tie-die jeans (u know the two tone ones) in peach and white--size 18 and a peach sweater. I looked stylish and polished. I got compliments and felt like a million bucks! People who had never said a word before about my loss finally noticed and complimented me...I felt amazing. Yeah, the outfit was inexpensive, but it was just so put together and I bought nice silver hoop earrings and bracelets to go with it and some peep toe shoes with manicured toes, there was no denying i looked good. I'm not bragging by any means, I'm just saying how good I felt. Do u know how long it's been since I've felt GOOD about myself going out around other people especially his family who are all smaller than me and city people who always have on the latest styles. I'm a town girl who has to travel to cities to get the latest styles..Lol. It was a great night and everything went just so..It was one for the books.
So, yep, that was my NSV...thanks for reading..Courtney
