Hi team,
Well Today was another bad day. As with most bad days it started out with a phone call from J. I won't go into it as it is much the same as yesterday and the day before. After an hour on the phone with her I need to call a doctor. Not there. Office is supposed to be open. Machine says messages will not be returned. Spoke with the answering service and left message. An hour later no call back. Called again. Oh we haven't picked up the messages yet. What do you want? How unprofessional is that??? Let it go. Take a shower. Got the mail. Letter from Medi-Cal (Medcaid for the rest of the country) You have not turned the re-determination forms your Medi-Cal will be discontinued (for J). OK the date stamp on my copy of the forms is 6/23 the letter is 7/2. I called the automated system to double check. Nope not there. I called the human line. Wait for 20 minutes. I'm sorry I can't answer any questions, you are not on her file. I have been her conservator for 17 years!!! I have submitted the power of attorney in the past. I'm sorry. . . Look all I want to know is if you have received the forms. I'm sorry. . . Fine I'll go down to the office. "Is there anything else I can do to help" She didn't do anything. If I could reach through the phone. Had to take Mom to doctor and then to get blood work. Take Mom home. Go down to Medi-Cal office. An hour later I actually get to talk with someone, No we have everything. It was submitted 6/23. This letter must have been sent in error. F????? I'm to much of a lady to say what I wanted to say. I came home and did some deep breathing to get over my ordeal. Good News. I did 20 minutes of strength training before this day got going and I did get my shower in. emoticon

Yesterday, our son-in-law cooked for us a BIG and delicious lunch in celebration of our 38th wedding anniversary (July 1st). Well, since I'm tracking, I went over 1000 calories emoticon emoticon Later on, I had a terrible stomach ache. I felt like a kid doing what's wrong and knowing it emoticon So grateful for the opportunity of fresh new starts. Today was a good day.

I am back from my vacation with my daughter and feeling great. I was upset to come home and find I'd gained the 2 lbs. I lost last month. But I knew it was likely to happen since I was off exercise for most of the two weeks. I have been given the ok by the doctor to start working on my ankle and walking small distances on it. The healing is going well but I am still stuck in the air cast until I can put all my weight on my ankle and walk for more than 30 minutes especially since my job requires a great deal of walking. But the good news is, that by mid August I should be able to get back into jogging!!!!! I may get to do the C25K after all.. Doctor requires me to be able to speed walk on my ankle for at least 30 - 45 minutes to guarantee that my ankle can handle jogging. If so, I should be good to go by end of August at the latest.

I am hoping to pick up more exercise in the next few weeks since my ankle no longer hurts all the time. I have to keep up with my exercise cause I'm starting to lose focus and motivation.

I hope everyone had a great Canada Day/ Independence Day and has started off their fun summer.. I am going to enjoy my three weeks of being a single person, my daughter is spending the time at my parent's place 9 hours away. I do miss her, but it's great to get a break once a year to do what I enjoy..

Hi ladies i am back. Sorry i was gonn for a while. I had some personal family issuse going one. So i need to take a brake from this and get things straighten out.

Good news I lost another three pounds. I am at 186.9 Yea. 24 lbs to go to my ideal weight.

Today is gonna be a busy day. I have to go to the court house. The story is I call my husband, my husband cause we been together for 14 years and have 2 children. But legal we are not. He is still married to another person. So i am going to the court house to get him the divorce papers and take care of a ticket he got. Then afterwards i am going to my cousins house and go for a walk and hang out with them.

Pam - I'm sorry to hear that you're having a tough time with J. I hope it all works out.

Vickie - I do my cleaning during the week while my husband is out of town. That way we can enjoy our limited time together without having to do chores.

Rachael - My eating was off all weekend too. And I don't exercise in the weekend when hubby is home unless we mow. I mowed Friday, so no exercise this weekend.

Today my plan is to get back on track. My husband got up before I could work out so I spent some time with him. We don't get much time together, so I want to spend as much t r with him as possible. I'll walk on my breaks today.

Pam I hope things get better for you soon.

I have done nothing but eat this weekend lol We had a lot of fun, could have been just a little better if the rain would stop but it didn't. Oh well. Tomorrow Abbey and I have a eye dr apt and then I got to go get groceries. Suppose to do 5k app today but it wont stop raining. I went to the garden and got soaked. and my stuff is in a pile to pick up later because I forgot my bowl lol
I hope I cleaned enough to burn off cals. Because I did a lot of cleaning too this weekend.
I did get in my steps though.
Hope you had a great 4th!! Gotta get back to sparking tomorrow! Have a great day tomorrow!

Hi team,
The last 24 hours have been a trial. Everything started out great. Last night I decided to go for a walk about 7:00 and walked over to J's because there have been issues with her being unfriendly with the aid and taking advantage of her good nature. I told her a few things in front of the aid and told the aid that she was not to do certain things any more. This did not make J very happy. I went into the kitchen and said that I was going for a walk. J is supposed to walk each day. The aid told J walking is good we are going for a walk before we eat. Everything was great. I walked out the door. 45 minutes later when I got home there were 3 messages from J saying I need my meds she wont give me my meds etc. Each one was worse than the first. The last one said that she was calling her names etc except she didn't hang up the phone and I heard everything. J was being very nasty to the aid and the aid was nicely trying to reason with her. I called and my husband was there. Evidently J got angry and tried to hit the aid with the phone and threw her walked. My husband handled and told the aid to go home and rest and take the next the off for the holiday off. She was crying. I spoke with her and thanked her and said the same thing. She kept saying Thank you Pam. My husband came home and within 5 minutes J called for something my husband answered. I heard him say go to bed J. A few minutes J called "The aid left and took the cookies with her" I just said go to bed J and hung up. Within 1 hour she called 5 times. Today I went over to J's and we had a very long conversation. 2 hours. I am so tired of dealing with her. She is ungrateful who can be very mean and nasty when she doesn't get her way. I told her that what she did was abusive and violent and if the aid had called the police she might have got arrested. This type of behavior is not acceptable. I talked with her a lot to make sure she understood the severity of what she did and that she would be very lucky if the aid ever came back. It is so hard to keep someone decent there to take care of her. I'm so frustrated. If it keeps up I I'm going to have to quit and she'll have to go to a home. So happy 4th. I'm going to rest. I was going to take mom to visit my aunt and do some exercise but I just don't feel like it.

MIMI, Mom and I had a fantastic time together. She was breathing really hard. I asked if she had used her nebulizer lately. She says no, she was out. I was so angry but didn't show it. I called the pharmacy and we picked it up on the way home. I told her that I couldn't help her if she didn't tell me things. She used the med last night and today and her breathing is so much better today. I'm going over later today to check on her. I'm glad your having a good time with your family. I love BBQ's.

NANCY, You burned lots of calories, good for you. You deserve a day of rest. I think we all do. emoticon

TPETRIE, Now that you did everything yesterday, take a day off. Have fun and party. It's fourth of July and we are all supposed to party. emoticon

PAT, You have an enjoyable day too, We don't mind if you celebrate our day too. Have fun. emoticon

Pam, good to know that your DD acknowledges what she has and tries to make it better. My son doesn't, he thinks everybody around are not in their senses and he's the one right... I do suffer from OCD but have it under control with meds, that also help me not to go for panic attacks and depression. I do think good food and exercise is a huge part to feeling better but I also think there are strong genetic issues that won't get better with just good food and exercise, like in my case. It all comes from long ago generations.
Keep on resting as much as you need. A 10 m dance is great! I hope your day was emoticon with your mom.

Nancy, oh, I see. Sorry, I thought your DH traveling was once in a while. Wishing you a good night sleep. Mowing = great exercise!

MiMi, glad to hear your DH is getting back to normal in terms of working hours.

TPETRIE, have a wonderful time with your family.

Another family busy day but very enjoyable. The only problem has been calorie wise. Oh well.

Today I have been very busy. Two of my grandchildren have been here since Wed. evening and they have been great. I have done so much laundry day, now I am doing the bedding again. I have also been preparing for tomorrow.

Pam - I love Red Robin! We recently got one in town but haven't been yet because it's always so crowded. Enjoy your date with mom.

Mimi - Staying home is fun sometimes. I don't like the crowds at the fireworks so we won't be venturing out.

Today I finished cleaning and got the lawn mowed before hubby got home. I also got the laundry done. I used the push mower for an hour, so I burned lots of calories.

Hi Team,
Happy Friday!!!! My favorite day of the month. I get to spend time with my mom and we go out to dinner. Mom says we are going to Red Robin tonight which I think is pretty cool as they have 20 % off for the month of July. Other than that its hot. I'm going to have to exercise after we get home when it's cooler. Yesterday I didn't go for my walk until about 8:30 pm.

NANCY, Well I hope you had a great time with your friends. Sorry about your lack of sleep but I know how much you like having your DH around. I hope you have fun today and I hope you have an excellent 4th.

MIMI, I guess your going to have to exercise after the sun goes down also. Glad you are able to enjoy having your DH around. It's always better when things are normal.

Weather here is hot and humid today, think DH and I are just going to stay in where is cool. Its the first time that DH is back off on Fridays sure have missed it. DH has been working every friday since March if you can belive. Things are finally getting back to normal around here for him working wise

Vickie - I am sorry to hear your daughter is in so much pain. Were they able to d,a thing to help her?

Patricia - My husband travels for his job and leaves every Monday and returns Friday. I have plenty of alone time. He's been doing this for nine years. I'm used to it, but I don't like it.

Pam - I suppose I have made progress. Thanks for pointing that out to me. I am a bit OCD myself. I like things a certain way. Which explains why I clean so much!

So much for sleeping in today. I went put with friends after work and had a few drinks. I got home about 8:30 and was in bed by 9:30. My body is used to getting 5-6 hours of sleep on week nights, so I woke up at 2:30. I tried reading for awhile but then my husband texted me at 3:30 to tell me he is driving home. Bad weather delayed flights and he would have missed his connecting flight and not made it home until after 5:00. He's 8 hours away so by driving he'll get home earlier than flying.

Hi team,
Didn't do much today. I interviewed 2 people for a roommate for J. I liked one of them, the other seemed to polished. I think she would get tired of J's prattling on and on. The first one loved to talk. I know all about her husband, kids, jobs she's had etc. I think she will be a good fit with J but I need to set up another appointment so they each can meet J. I only did 10 minutes dancing. I think my muscles need a break so I'm giving them one. I don't think I slept to well last night. I feel like I could sleep right now.

NANCY, See you have made progress. You would have never said you like to walk along better because your friends are to slow. You go girl emoticon I hope you tracked all the time in the garden. That counts you know.

VICKIE, I'm so sorry to hear about your poor daughter. I hope she feels better soon. I think she definitely takes priority over a workout. I don't know that I would call a trip to the ER a rest day but have a great workout today. I'm planning on walking a bit later when its a bit cooler.

PAT, My daughter is Bi-Polar and refuses to take medication. When she was younger she went through 6 jobs in one year because she wouldn't take meds. She has found that through exercise and clean diet she can control her disorder. I also have OCD tendencies. I wouldn't call myself OCD but my daughter does. Everything has to be just right. When I go to dinner with my mom we always have desert and it usually consists of some kind of cake with ice cream on the side. When they bring it to us I usually have to turn the dish around because the ice cream has to be on my left side. When I eat a hamburger If its not cut in 1/2 I will eat it in a circle so the best bite is always the last. I eat sandwiches the same way. This has actually added to my eating because I always want that last really good bite. I now always cut that type of food in half so that I can't do that. It is really weird what I do with my food. Anyway its not so bad that it interferes with my life or disturbs any one else's. My daughter just laughs at me. Congrats on taking control of your day. I think a lot of our neuro issues these days are caused from all the chemicals in our foods. They put yellow 5&6 and red into so many of our foods and it is proven to cause neuro problems. Artificial sweeteners cause neuro problems. Kids are especially sensitive to these. Canada and Euro have banned such things. The same Food distributors package for both countries. Why formulate differently for the US? Oh well I'll get off my soap box now.

OK, I've been family related busy. I ended up totally exhausted. Today I had a nap, so here I am. On the positive side, the last couple of busy days, I didn't end up edgy. Could handle being calmed in spite of emoticon

Thank you for the explanation. I sure hope your seizures can be treated properly. In our family, there are various mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, bi-polar, OCD, suicide, delusional disorder. They all come from both sides of my family and my hubby brings on some of this issues too. So we are all affected in one way or another. I'm so thankful for meds when they work. The problem is when a dear one, like my youngest son, do not want to accept what he has (delusional and OCD) so he rejects treatment...

Vickie, emoticon Go get that job! emoticon for the obstacle/challenge race! Oh, my, I hope your DD is feeling better. That's a very painful procedure (afterwards). Best wishes to her. Keep us updated.

RW, glad to hear you're feeling so much better. Great job with your eating and your exercise! What's the name of the shakes from GNC?

Well, I had a workout planned for last night, with tonight being my rest night. But, I ended up taking my daughter to the ER. She had tonsils out over a week ago and the jaw/ear pain is so bad she's not been sleeping (which means none of us are sleeping!) I'd had enough! So, I guess last night was my rest night (my muscles were pretty sore anyway) and I'll do my workout tonight!

Pam - What a day you had Tuesday! How frustrating for your husband. My husband went to,a chiropractor once and he was asking about how many visits his insurance would cover. He just wanted to get as much money from the insurance as he could. Hubby never went back.

Yesterday was a good day. I worked out at home before work and took a short walk at lunch. I asked a fried to go with me, but I think I prefer going alone. She walks slow so it didn't feel like I got much of a workout. I have most of my housework done for the week. Last night I pulled weeds on most of the flower beds. My husband had to go out of town this week. He was supposed to be in vacation, but they needed him. So I will have Friday morning to myself. It will be nice to sleep until I am ready to get up.

Hi Team,
Well today was a much better day. Not near so hectic but J has called at least 5 times. Very annoying. Oh well some days are like that. I worked out today but not near a vigorously as usual. My muscles needed a rest. I spent 2 hours trying to troubleshoot a problem with the Microsoft connection with Facebook. I spoke with 4 departments over the phone and 1 online just to be told by each one that I had reached the wrong department. Well why was I transferred to them? I finally gave up. I stayed within range today. Yehhhh!

NANCY, I'm glad your weather is better and you can walk at lunch again. It's the start of another half year. time to take stock of our lives and check in with ourselves. You haven't made any progress? I'm sure if you look close you can find something that is good. Just the fact that you are walking at lunch again is progress. Chin up my friend. Tomorrow will be a glorious day.

VICKIE, emoticon aboard!! Glad to have you with us. Yard work is a lot of work. I hope you listed it on your exercise tracker. Its worth a lot of points. Good for you getting in that jog last night. Its great that you talked your DH into that challenge in a month. I sounds like a lot of work. Gook Luck on your interview. I have to agree with you. I hate interviews too.

PAT, I have had seizures since I was about 18. They seem to be hereditary. I had a great aunt with them but its hard to know for certain since they hid things like that back then. My sister also had them and they started post puberty just like mine. We all seem to have some type of neurological disorder. My oldest daughter is bi-polar. My youngest suffers with depression and is dyslexic. My niece is manic and my grand niece has seizures. I was always controlled pretty well and would get hours, sometimes days of warning before having a seizure. Plenty of time to ward it off and not have one. It seems that I can only be on a medication for so long before it stops working or it becomes toxic. As I've gotten older I am closer to the seizure threshold and my warnings are much shorter and its more difficult to ward them off. The best thing for me when I feel "off" is to go to bed. At least if I'm in bed I'm less likely to do damage to myself should I have one. Sleep is the best thing for me.

I understand what you mean about the repetition. Several members of my family seem to like to do that. I often have to say "yes I understand, I heard you the first 5 times you told me" I say that a lot to my DH. He doesn't appreciate it much.

JUDY, I hope your internet problems get resolved real soon. I miss you when your not around.

RACHEL, I'll have to look into those 2 minerals. I'm trying to get off my thyroid medication. I'm on so many medications and if I can get off some of them I might not have such an issue with my seizures. Thanks for the info. I'm so glad your sticking to your step regime and your exercising. It's so good for you. I find that in the summertime it is so much easier to eat well and exercise.

I have to say I am feeling much better since I started taking vitamins and drinking the GNC shakes. and I looked at the ingredients today and they have iodine and selenium in them two ingredients for a sluggish thyroid. So I hope when I go back next month for a recheck it will be good.

Eating pretty good, ate out yesterday but stayed in calorie range. Still getting in my steps. Tomorrow starts week 4 of my 5k app. It is amazing something that only takes about 30 mins three times a week can really make you feel so much better about yourself.

Good morning everyone! It sounds like many of us are under a bit of stress! Not only is it our year end at work, my boss is retiring at the end of the month, and I'm interviewing for his job next week! I HATE interviews!! :(

On the bright side, the weather is staying pretty nice and I got a 30 minute jog in last night! It felt great! AND I talked my husband into doing a local Army Challenge obstacle course/race. So, we have a month to prepare for that! I'm excited!!

Hi team,
Today was a day of errands. First thing in the morning I got a phone call from Jeannine saying that her eye was swollen shut. For those of you that don't know Jeannine is my cousin and I have conservatorship over her because she is mentally and physically disabled. She is like dealing with a 10 y/o in a 63 y/o body and she lies and exaggerates. Anyway she fell yesterday, I knew that, but she didn't tell me that she hit her face. Anyway I told her to ice it 30 minutes on and 30 minutes off until the swelling went down. That's how my day started. I spent two hours on the phone with her social worker, her day program coordinator and her aide. She has been having spells during the week so bad that she hasn't been able to go to her day program and I have been very concerned about her safety. She doesn't seem to have to have any trouble on the weekends. I believe it is because she takes her medicine 4 hours earlier on weekdays than on weekends. Her regular neurologist won't be back until 6/8 so I can't do anything. I'm concerned for her. Next I had to take my DH down to get a rental car. Got there and they did not have the car for him. Back home we went. I dropped him off and ran some errands. Got home and the rental company called. They now had a car for him. Back we go to get the car. They told him he could use his debit/credit card to secure the car. Got there and they wouldn't accept it. The argument ensued. I pulled out my credit card and they put the car in my name. Problem solved but he was not happy. Next my DH had an appointment with a chiropractor. For those that don't know my DH was in an auto accident 6/5. The other guy ran a stop sign. Phone call from DH asking if Thursday was free. Another appt. with the chiro. He got home and he was fuming. They wanted to know all about the car, how much he was getting, medical records, his first born child etc. on and on. He was not happy. I called the attorney and left a message as he had referred this irritating chiro. OK its now 4:30 and I hadn't exercised yet. I start my cardio dance, get about 10 minutes into it and I get a phone call. The agency I signed up with to rent out the extra room in J house had 4 referrals. Took down all the info. Back to my cardio dance. Attorney calls. Ronnie rants and raves. Attorney calls the chiro. Problem solved. back to cardio... 50 minutes in total and I'm sweating bullets. I don't usually sweat like that and jumped into the shower. 8:20 and I'm finally able to get to all my emails. 50 or so. I'm going to stop now as its after 9:00 and I have a headache because I'm hungry. Have a pleasant night. I'll try to catch up with everybody tomorrow. emoticon

Pam, what's causing your seizures? Were they always with you or is it from some time forward? (if you mind my asking, just ignore the questions, please) Gosh, it's admirable all the you do. I'm really heartily hoping for a right combination of meds that suit you perfectly or near to perfect.

I tend to lose my temper when I have a pretty busy day like today. Especially with my mom and her constant repetition. By the end of the day, I'm edgy. Wish there was a switch I could turn off till I relax a little. I'm constantly working on this issue. A nap is the best solution, but sometimes it's impossible to have one. Oh well, oh well... chilling off already emoticon This is all due to my lovely, chubby, new GS. I knew it was coming but nothing can't prepare one enough.

The weather was beautiful yesterday. I planned on going for a jog, but ended up doing yardwork instead, which was quite a workout in itself! I told my husband that I AM going for a jog tonight though, so hopefully the humidity stays down!

Hi team,
Wow a lot of posters today. That's great. I walked a couple of miles to my doctor appointment today. I was really proud of myself. I called my DH to come and pick me up after because I didn't want to walk home. I had a great big juicy nectarine when I got home. I'm planning to have some cottage cheese as a snack later on. Not the best news from my neurologist. I am developing a toxicity to one of my epilepsy meds. My threshold for control is very close to the edge. Fortunately I get a couple of hours of warning before I have a seizure so I'm never driving. We want to reduce that med and increase another med. Before we do that I need to start my anti-depressant. My last anti-depressant caused a seizure. I can't start the knew one until Friday. My Psych wants me to go without anything for 7 days. My neuro says I can't drive for 2 weeks to make sure this new one doesn't cause me any problems. Once that is done we start playing with my other meds and of course I can't drive while doing that. She also says she's going to report this last seizure to the DMV. The DMV could pull my license. She says they won't because of the warning I get but I don't have a lot of faith. The DMV pulled my license once before years ago. I hope everything goes smoothly. I'll be glad when I get back on the anti-depressants. I am doing really well with the exercising but it's really hard. Thanks to everyone for keeping me honest. You gals are really faithful friends. The good news - I LOST 1 POUND emoticon 14 more to go.

I'm going through a terrible time right now and don't know what I would do without the encouragement I get from the group. I hope you find that this group meets your needs. You will get what you put into it. If you let us know what you need we will do our best to accommodate you. So glad you are with us.

PAT, Thanks for the encouragement. Its a lot of help. My DH's idea of cooking is a trip to Jack-in-the-box. emoticon I can't fault him as he does just about all the cleaning, even the laundry (he says I don't do it right and I don't argue). I usually cook on the weekend but this last weekend I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I usually like to cook but it's either concentrate on exercise or cooking. I can't seem to do both right now. So what's for dinner? No Plans for tomorrow. I'm taking each day as it comes. I'm trying to complete my spring challenge. I'm in the 4th week. If I complete it, it will the first time I actually completed that type of challenge and I have tried before.

SUE, I here you girlfriend. Maybe you could just listen to the music and tap your toes, it might help lift those spirits for a bit. Once we get into those doldrums its so hard for us to get out. I'm starting a new med for it. I hope your new med helps with the pain you are feeling. How long before you should start seeing any changes? I hope it's soon and that it works.

RACHEL, Glad everything is going so well for you. Your building up the running again and doing great. I can't say that I ever gained weight after exercising a lot in fact I usually loose. Maybe it depends on what type of exercise you are doing. Your a runner and I never run. In fact I usually don't walk long distances but my Psych says I need to get outside and that seems to be the best way to do it.

DANEA, You are an example for us all. You are doing so well. You wait and see once I get all these meds straightened out I'll be an example too. You go girl, I'm so happy your doing to good. I want to be just like you when I grow up. emoticon

MIMI, Wow are you taking lessons from Danea? You did a lot today. Don't forget to add those housework fitness points. Take a rest you deserve it. Thanks for the prayers.

Today I oversleep did not wake up till DH called and its starting to be a pattern time to break it uggy

I havent sat down untill now and relized it was almost time for DH to be getting off work. Workouts done for me, cleaned the bathroom and its a job, vacumed and is in the process of doing laundry and getting the dishes watched

yesterday i went to church, then came home and relaxed. Then about 4:30 had to take my husband to the ER. He has a swollen testicale. He is on some heavy doses of Antibiotics. My finally this works. He has been sick with a bladder infection for the last three months.

Today i had to go get my husbands meds and take them to his work. Now i am eating breakfast (oatmeal, toast, and a banana). Then i am gonna streaten up my house. Take the kids to the park. Walk and not drive. Then i am come home and watch my show DR. Oz and do my streanth trainng will i watch.

Had a pretty good weekend. My DH was off all weekend, which usually doesn't happen. We got some work done and just took it easy after that.
It has finally cooled down so I can get some outside things done.
Yesterday was my 5k app day and on the last few mins instead of jog then stop I kept going and jogged a mile. It took about 12mins but it made me happy. 😀doing laundry today.👚
Does anyone else notice a few ounces of weight gain the next day after exercise? I read somewhere it could be inflammation.
Well I better get back to cleaning.

I have been gone for way too long, sorry friends but the past 6 months have been complete insanity for me. I've gotten separated and put myself and my time management on the back burner! Hey everyone! Sorry I went MIA again! My body is just hurting and I am really having a hard time doing things. I did go to the Dr last week and go my medication changed so am now hopeful that it will start changing some of my problems. There won't be any dancing for me this week but I will focus on eating well and pulling myself out of the doldrums to get ready for the next challenge!

Hi, I got up this morning and watched the mass on TV. I then made muffins and I had breakfast. I walked for 70 min. did knee raises and hip flexion squats, lunges and wall pushups. That was over 120 min. I also danced for 10 min. This was a busy day.

I got up this morning, ate my green, fruit smoothie and did cardio dance for 70 minutes. I thought of all of you while I was doing it. I didn't want to but then I would have to tell everybody that I sat on my butt and did nothing. Thanks for being there in my head.

i got back from home depo and i scrub my bathroom down, did three louds of laundry, streaten up the living room and the kitchen. About 4 i got done with everything and relaxed and watched a scary movie. Then i cook dinner. Pork ribs, mac and cheese, corn and a salad for me.

Danae, you've been pretty busy. A good time to relax.

Today we begin the 5% challenge, so I'm aiming to go down the 2.2 pounds I've gained. My daily exercise goes up a bit more. Still having issues with my plantar fasciitis but I'm massaging the foot, wearing special insoles, and using anti-inflammatory gels.

i was playing on scrubing my kitchen down yesterday. but bottom of my foot hurt really bad to walk. So i took the day off and relaxed. Today i am gonna srub down my kitchen and go to homedepo to get some stuff

I know I have been scare sly lately . Due to the issues with my other name I was in a I don't want to log on and have more anxiety of it. After realizing that I was letting you guys down decided it was time to do something bout it and here I am with a new name.

Pam, so sorry you're going through all of this. I hope they can find the right meds that will make you feel better soon. I'm in a lifelong anti-depressive treatment. But to find the right combination of meds that suited me was a long process. As an encouraging note, even if you're feeling down, you can push yourself to do exercise. It makes you feel a teeny bitty better afterwards. It helps, at least in distracting you. emoticon

Danae, great house work done. I'm always procrastinating on doing house keeping chores. Be safe and cool.

Hi team,

I exercised for 10 minutes. It was a struggle as I really didn't want to exercise at all. Since I have stopped my anti-depressants I'm back to not wanting to do anything. I have to go 1 week with no med to make sure its completely out of my system then I'm going to try a new one. Meanwhile I am having problems with my epilepsy med. Every once in a while I it builds up in my system and I overdose. Today was one of those days. My vision is messed up and I was not able to walk properly and almost fell down. It was very hard to get to the chair so I could wait until it passed. It was like I was very drunk. I have an appt on Monday to address this. Meanwhile for the next couple I really need support to do my exercise. Please encourage me each day to do it. I know my Spark friends will help me. Thank you in advance for your help.

DANEA, Your are doing so great with your exercise! I am so jealous. I wish I had the energy that you do. I didn't know that redheads are effected by the heat more than other colors. You learn something knew every day.

today i am gonna srub the other half of my kitchen today. I got one half done plus cleaning my freezer and did a 2 mile walk. Today i am cleaning the other half and my frige out. Also hoping to put in another 2 mile walk in today to.

It is suppose to be hot today. Almost 100* We got a heat adviser on until Monday.Ugh. Stay indoors where it is nice and cool. I have red hair. So the heat and i don't get along very well.

Hi team,
Well I have backed off my anti-convulsants and my depression is back. I was exercising every day and having fun. Now I have to fight with myself to do 10 minutes ( I haven't done it yet today). I went to my psych today and I need to go 7 days without anything to make sure the old med is completely out of my system, then I will try another one. All of them can cause seizure activity. The chances are low, it depends on my system. If this causes me problems then my neurologist needs to get involved. What a pain. It's hard on the diet side also. The good news is I have been using my CPAP every night and I'm getting really good sleep.

NANCY, So glad your exercising and tracking again.

PATRICIA, I'm so glad you had such a wonderful time with your DD. 8 hours, how fun. I love spending time with my daughter and GS's.

CARRIE, Your doing great with the nutrition tracking and exercising. Good for you.

TRACEY, emoticon What an accomplishment! Actually accomplishments. The bike riding and the exam. Keep going and you will be there in no time.

DANAE, Wow you got in tons of exercise. Housework counts for a lot of calories burned and there's a listing for it in the exercise tracker too.

AMANDA, Good for you not letting that ankle stop you. My daughters are adults but I remember the kindergarten graduation. I also remember those times during the summers when they went to their father's and I was left alone without them. It seemed just about the time I would get used to it they would come home. I always liked it better when they were home.

TPETRIE, Thank you so much for your prayers.

RACHEL, I agree that it is so much easier to eat better in the summer. Even if you don't have a garden. The available fruits and vegetables that are in the stores are better also.

Good Afternoon,
Yesterday I had youth night so I am wore out today but it went good. Doing pretty good staying in my cals and getting steps in. So much I want to do outside but it has been so miserable. Today is jog/walk day, we go about 8pm because its too hot to go before then.
Got 7 zucchini from my garden. I just love garden food. Going to have to pick some beans again too. It is so much easier to eat better in the summer time with a garden.
A lot of work but a lot of rewards. Cant wait till my tomatoes start coming in.
Not much going on other than that. Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning ladies. I had a good day yesterday. I went ofr a 2 mile walk with my friend from church. Then came hope and took a nap.Then took the kids to the park. Then came home and ate dinner and watched the new Poltergust.

Today i am gonna scrub down my kidtchen. Also my brothers girlfriend is comeing over today and we are gonna go for a walk.

Today was a very enjoyable but tiring day. The baby, my 1 month old grandson, was found in perfect conditions by his pediatrician. We did lots of errands too. We were out for over 8 hours! Sweet emoticon Hubby took care of my mom.

Hi all,

School is almost out for the little one, one day left. She's excited to finish Kindergarten and getting ready for grade 1 in the fall. I'm not ready to let her grow up but she is anyway.. lol

My ankle has been extremely painful for two days, so I went back to the doctor for pain meds. I hate taking them but it appears to help my foot actually feel ok all day at work. thankfully I'm on holidays after tomorrow for a week so I'll get more rest time on my foot. I'm taking my daughter to visit my family and she is staying for 3 weeks without me.. She's gonna love it, I'm going to miss her.. lol

I am trying really hard to stay positive and have found ways to work out with a sore ankle and I'll continue to do it this summer.

Yesterday i didn't go for my walk. I had to take my husband to work and that ment i had to bring him lunch. So i had to pass on the walk. But i did clean my house and all my laundry. I also got some pilaties in and 2 spark videos in.

Today i am going for that walk. I told my husband to take the car i don't need it at all and hopefully do some more pilaties and Spark videos

Had to share my NSV today as I was pretty pleased with myself. I have been biking to work for the last month. I had said that when I could bike to work completely in the toughest gear, then I would change my route. Well, I did it. So my plan was to tackle a large hill on my next shift. I was still having to lower my gears for the trip home as I take a different route home. Well, this morning, I had to make a stop on my way home as we are pet sitting. I biked the tough route home this morning! And after a rough night shift! Guess there is no excuse not to take that route home from now on. Next shift, I will be tackling the tough hill on the way to work too.

Friday I write my midterm exam. 10 more months and I graduate! Two more terms. The end is in sight.

Pam, that was a very scary situation with the seizures. Unfortunately, the only way to get the right medication combination for a person is by trial and error because each one of us is unique in the way we respond to them. I've been through that. Once they do find what works better for you, then it's a different story. Stay strong, hang in there. emoticon

Today is day out with my DD and baby for his pediatrician appointment. I'm the driver. I love every minute of it. It's about an hour away from home. There's a big mall so we can have a blast there. Being alone with her and her still-well-behaved baby makes it perfect.

I'm doing better with, tracking my food, and today is day three of exercising. I love how,I feel when I exercise, I have so much more energy. We're supposed to get more bad weather for the next three days. At least the weekend is supposed to be nice.

Hi team,

I have had a off few days. The down side to the anti-depressants I was so excited about, they are interfering with my anti-convulsion medications. The last few days I have been having definite issues with seizure activity. Last night I had a full blown seizure for about 10 minutes and that was after I took the medication that is supposed to stop a seizure. I called the psych this morning and you guessed it was all because of the new med. Now we have to play medication shuffle. What fun. Try this and see if it works, Try that and see if that works. It's so much fun. Anyway I'm lowering my dose in preparation of switching to a new med. On to a better subject I did well exercising today.so that was great.

TRACEY, So glad you were able to get that biking in and we are looking forward to hearing more from you once school is out for the year.

DANAE, A 20 minute walk is good. It sounds like you think you can to better. A day of relaxation is important to. Besides you have so much other stuff going on, yet you still manage to get the workouts in. Very good.

RACHEL, So glad that you are losing. I agree with you that even if you don't make the full 5 pounds losing some of it is better than none of it.

PAT, I also ate to much good down home food and the BBQ I had for my husband.

AMANDA, So happy for you and your daughter. I'm sure you had tremendous fun with her and the Teddy Ber PicNic. It also sounds like the rest of your weekend went swimmingly emoticon

NANCY, I know what you are talking about. Restrictive dieting does not work for me. Its calories all the was. I do tend to restrict myself from backed potatoes and rice and things like that because I can take the same amount of calories and find tastier food for the same cals.

MIMI, emoticon You are definitely teaching your daughter how to be a survivor in life. You make the exercise work for you. You go girl!!!!!

good morning ladies. I never got the chance to do my pilates yesterday. But i did get a walk in. I was busy visting my cousin and cleaning. Then we walk to the store and got a couple of drinks and my daughter got a goodie. Then we came home and I got my husband and had a bbq. We watched Incidous 3. Then i took my cousing and her daughter home.
Today i am going for another walk with a lady i go to church with. Come home and finish my cleaning.

NSVs I have a few NSVs and happy about them As of some of you know I was born with cerbal pausy and strength tranning and sometimes because of my weight and with the cp limits my abilty to play with Lily

Well yesterday Lily wanted to ride on MiMi's back for a minute I thought bout and saw my dad standing there so I said ok let Pa Paw help you and me so with my dad behind me I had Lily on my back

We bought a floating pool to just get wet and play around it well with the water helping me I did a plank and held for bout a minute and did crunches. Really cannot to a lot of strength work so I found a new way of doing it well at least in the summertime

Hi everyone, hope this Monday is treating you nice. I am trying to get the laundry done, then I am going to go down my dads for a little bit since he had to work yesterday, I hope to get in the pool later. IT kinda looks like rain though.

I have lost two pounds this month, hope to lose a couple more before the end. Don't see making my goal of 5lbs loss but at least I have lost some. I have more good days now than bad so that is a plus. I made some healthy no bakes today, I have only ate 1/2 of one because I noticed the healthier something is sometimes they have more cals. IF I have cals left later I am going to have one for a snack. I found them on pinterest. You don't add sugar, you just use peanut butter any kind but I had jiff creamy so that is what I used. Coconut oil, cocoa powder, honey, vanilla and oats. Three out of four of us give them a A but my oldest DD said that it was just ok. lol not much difference to me in taste, just less sugar taste and more chocolate. Amanda - I'm sorry t hear about your ankle. I hope by now the pain is at least a little better. Once you're up to it, Spark has some chair cardio that you might be able to do. I'm glad you were able to let the housework go. I would have a hard time with that because I. A clean freak, but you have to take care of you.

Danae - 40 minutes of Pilates is good!

Pam - I hope the hast feeling didn't last too long. I wouldn't like that. I. Glad you're feeling better. My husband recently got a cpap machine and it has helped him a lot! Before he had it he would get up in the morning and fall back asleep in his chair while I cooked breakfast.

Carrie - I hope you feel better soon.

Rachael - It's hard t make the best choices when eating out. Sometime it's more about staying in range Han eating something healthy. As long as you make healthy choices most of the time you should be okay.

Patricia - My mom had Alzheimer's so I know what you're going through. It's hard.

Sue - Welcome back! I struggle with night time editing too. I've been trying to stay busy and that seems to help me.

Tracey - 10 minutes if exercise is better than none. Do what you can. Good luck with your test.

I did great for two days last week with my eating plan. But, Thursday I fell off track and stayed off until today. This morning I woke up early so was able to get in my exercise with no problem. I decided not to follow the restrictive diet, but to go back to counting calories. I j ow that works best for me. Today is going well, so far.

Hi All,

Hope everyone had a good father's day celebrations and some quiet time too. I have been so busy this weekend with all the improvements going on with my ankle. I was able to take my daughter to the Teddy Bear Picnic which was so much fun. I walked around for about 2 hours before I had to call it quits. My daughter would have loved to stay longer but walking on grass is a little tough with my robo-foot.. lol I took her swimming for the afternoon at a friend's pool and a BBQ. On Sunday I spent the day with friends and I even got to go swimming!!! With a little help getting in the pool and keeping ppl away from my foot, I was able to swim comfortable for over an hour. I only quit cause I didn't want to over do it. But if I can, I'm going to try to swim for some of my outdoor cardio days at least until my foot is better. Just have to bring someone along to help out but it sure made me feel happier doing something other than sitting in a chair watching..

PATRICIA-CR: it was about to turn into a migrane. I do get migranes. i havn't had for a long time tell saterday. i don't like them at all.

Yeasterday we went fishing with a couple of friends. Found out my son is a total water baby. I had a hard time keeping him from crawling all the way in.

Today i am gonna be cleaning all day since i didn't get the chance this weekend. Gonna do some platies later. Also i have my aunt, cousin and her baby coming over today.

Hello Everyone,
Hope everyone is having a nice Father's Day.
Today I am taking it easy. I cooked a big meal for my husband yesterday because today he went 4-wheeling. We finally got some rain too but it is major heat wave.
Finally seeing plants bloom in the garden. So excited. I did get a mess of beans and two zucchini so far.
Eating right is a struggle but I think by tracking I am usually good 5 days off two through the week.

Sue- I have to go back for my thyroid again in Aug. I think I am going to try some of the vitamins I read about to see if it will help me. Mine was borderline hypo but if I can fix it naturally I am going to try. I have the fog and the joint pain which bothers me the most and I am wondering if that is why I have such a hard time losing weight. Someone said Selenium is suppose to help with that and I read chia seeds has that in it.

Littlebabies glad your feeling better!

Carrie glad your back felt better after. I know if I do stretching /yoga it makes me feel better. I have a lot of neck pain.

Pam WTG on the weight loss!!

Going to do Week two day two of my 5k app training/ I hope I can build my jogging back up. I get so out of breath so fast this yr. I am wondering if it isn't because of the humidity. It has been a couple of yrs since the last time it was hot.

THANK THEEXERSISER AND RPCLEM2000:I feel alot better today. My hubbys birthday party went good. Had alot of fun. My parents and a couple of friends of our came back to our place and had a couple of drinks. Everybody left our house around 10:30 last night.

Today is a easy day went for a 20 minute walk and came home. Watching CAKE. So far so good. Then gonna clean a little. Then relax the rest of the day.

Starting to surface from my studying. Paper done, now just an exam this week. I have been doing well with the mealplan this week but the exercise dropped off. I have been able do at least 10 minutes each day with a couple of good days. Back to biking to work this weekend so that will help. Oh, I can't wait for school to end. Last year then I graduate :)

Hi team,
Well today has been a busy day preparing for fathers day. I'm exhausted. We went to one of those large wholesale stores. I'm very proud of myself. These stores offer samples of food all throughout the store. I said no to all but one. The bad thing is I was so thirsty that I drank soda. All it did was make me more thirsty. I don't usually drink soda any more.

SUE, You go girl!!! Take charge of your medical issues. Doctor's often just don't listen and you have to be tough. I'm so proud of you. I hope a new medication will take care all of those nasty side effects.

PAT, Yes, Mom's day was wonderful. It's too bad there's no organized help. I understand how expensive help can be. My parents almost lost my GM home because they had hired help to take care of her. Fortunately that did not happen. Glad you had so much fun with your family.

CARRIE, I'm so glad you are no longer in pain. Make sure you take it easy so as npot to re-injure yourself. I'm sure you'll be back to your normal in no time.

DANAE, I'm so sorry you are not feeling well. We all need to take care of ourselves and sometimes we need to take a day off. I'm planning on taking a day off today also. I'm just tired from all the stuff I've already so far. Enjoy your me time.

today is another busy day. It is my hubby bday party athough his birthday was on monday i am haveing his party today. I also have a headache this morning so i think i am gonna skip my workout today. It hurts really bad.

My back hurt really bad last night but it didn't hurt at all today. I did about 20 minutes of yoga today. I can't wait to get back into my regular routine. Good night all.

Sure, you can call me Pat. That's how my two brothers have always called me. There's no organized help here. Only these daycare facilities or the elderly homes which I'm avoiding until she's completely lost. By paying lots of money then we could hire help but it's too expensive. emoticon
