I have been weighing before I eat or get dressed and I had a loss of two pounds but I also know I have two weight numbers on my digital scale. I weighed in three rooms and outside and its all in the difference of how I put my scale. I got two numbers that were the same and outside was a little different because I had clothes on lol
I am happy I am losing but I do hope the lower number is my true weight!

Judy I pray you get complete healing before summer comes so you can enjoy it.

Pam Hope all the party planning goes the way you want it. That is so sweet of you to throw him a party.

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

Sorry I haven't been on board this past week but I have been sick. I've had a really bad sinus infection for more than a week now. Usually when I get those (but not this bad) I will take some OTC sinus meds. Those alone didn't seem to be doing the trick so I added some Amoxicillin 3 times a day. I would start out sleeping in bed but after about 1 hour of coughing and hacking I moved my body to the recliner where I have been sleeping (but still tried the bed for almost an hour each night at first) this past week. I even started up the ecchinecea (sp) last night. I walked the "girls" around the park last with my DH - got not even 1/3 of the way around the outside and was having a hard time breathing. DH wouldn't let me walk with him them this morning and gave me orders to get to the dr's for a shot. Like a good obedient wife, I called and got right in as I was starting to cough up bright yellow during the night. I ended up with 2 shots (1 antibiotic and a double dose of Decca), a blood test - negative, a strep test - negative ( emoticon , and 2 prescriptions) . I told him that I had take the Amoxicillin and he said I needed something big and heavy this time!! He had the nerve to tell me that I "look sick" as if I needed to hear that! Good thing I love this dr!!!

Been getting my water in (2 bottles of water during the night alone) so doing good on that anyway. I even missed a few days of tracking all my food which is not like me. There's a lot of things I missed tracking this past week.

I had my CT Scan on Tuesday. The surgeon wanted to see where the scars were located and how badly. Didn't need the MRI seeing as how both the surgeon and I could feel the holes where the hernias are. I was able to see the CT Scan report on the computer yesterday. I have scars on and around my small bowel which weren't there last year. My dr said I don't do anything unless I do it up good!! I've been feeling up to 3 more tears a day when I'm coughing hard or sneezing so who knows how bad the hernias are now. I see the surgeon on the 22nd of this month and will know more then.

The last couple of days I haven't even had the energy to cook anything on my menu I had made up for 4 weeks. DH cooked pizza last night for supper. I guess it tasted good. When I'm sick I crave anything salty which doesn't do me any good either but I did did lose a # from the day before even with the pizza.

Anyway, if you don't hear from me for a few more days you'll know why. Exercising, needless to say, has gone by the way side - no energy.

PAM - So sweet of you to throw a birthday party for your DH. Wish I could be there for the party but sorry I won't make it! emoticon Give that DH of your a hug for me please for his birthday.

Chat another time.

Judy F emoticon emoticon

Well today has been busy. I'm giving my DH a surprise Birthday Party next Saturday and there is much to do. I have to call everyone and see how many are going to be there. That is hard because he seems to be attached at my hip lately. I'm probably going to have to go to Mom's house just to make the phone calls. I hope enough people are going to be there. I think I worry to much. I'm much better now and I'm starting to get caught up on things. I really need to get caught up on bills and our site. Some of my responsibilities are way behind.

CARRIE, You are so very faithful. I have complete faith that you will get your walking in today. I read you next entry. I new you could do it and I have faith that you will get your water in today. I think I'm going to try to get more water in today too.

MIMI, I agree with you. We Rock!!. April is a busy month for me too. My Bday is the 24th and my DH is the 25. I also have several friends sprinkled around the month also. Actually the busy season seems to start in March and doesn't stop until June. Its a happy busy though. I need to plan out my exercise time. I've been very lax about it and that has to stop.

Rachel, Please send some of that rain this way. We could really use it. They're calling it a drought and I think they are going to enforce conservation pretty soon which is no fun. Its hard to cut the water when your already conserving. Oh well I'll worry about that if/when it comes. Congrats on the weight loss. That's always a great thing to hear.

Have a great day all.

Hey everyone!!!
It has rained all week! I try to get outside when it stops for a bit. Today though was a little more tricky need rubber boots again. Our grass is going to be high as the house if it doesn't stop and dry out. lol On a good note it is suppose to be pretty starting midweek next week.
Our strawberries are blooming.
I lost a pound too yay

Nancy I am glad your liking your job.

Everyone have a great day!

Hi team,
Things have been difficult to say the least I'm sick again. Mom is doing well. She is weaning herself off the o2 during the day I need to take her for walks but with me being sick I can't go down there. If its not one thing its another

RACHAEL, I'm glad you had a grand weekend i was off too I had a huge package of of chocolate muffins and my GS were here and we made double chocolate peppermint cookies and some smore cookies. I sent the cookies home with the boys and threw out the muffins. it sounds like i need to do a better choice challenge. I hate waiting also i usually catch up on emails during down time.

CARRIE, So glad to hear from you i know I know its my fault it's me who's not been around. It sounds like a great plan you have for this week. I had a similar plan but then I got sick again. You sound like your ready to go today you go girl.

SMALLTOWNMOMMY, emoticon emoticon emoticon
So glad you have joined us I'm usually more active but lately I've been down with sicknesses I've never been so sick as I have been this year. Water and movement is a great place to start. Try throwing those wheat thins away. i know I had to throw away all my trigger foods. I'm so proud of you. emoticon

NANCY, A nice lazy day is always great as long as you don't do it to often. How did we survive without our ipads and iphones. How did we occupy ourselves.

MOOMSHINE, Its about time that I start my spring cleaning also All of you are making me feel lazy. Have a great day.

Rachael - I'll be in training until September. We are in our second round right now. We learned one process and once we passed proficiency in that, they started on another thing. We started hands on training today and I think we start proficiency next week. I thought I was going to be doing data entry but it's so much more than that. It's nice to have a job that actually gives me the opportunity to use my brain!

Smalltownmommy - I'm sorry your day was so stressful yesterday. Good job not eating through it! I hope today was better.

Carrie - Good news in he clean bill of health. I hope you weren't as tired today,

Hi Team! I am doing so much better with drinking water, I have inadvertently increased my steps today because I keep running to go potty.

Work was one big ball of stress the minute I walked in. It's almost like my employees collect all their issues and dump them on me Monday mornings. I found myself grabbing wheat thins to soothe myself... but quickly put away my emotional crutch.

Today has been a pretty good day. It rained early, but the sun came back out. I walked on my morning break and again at lunch. Out computer system is down so we can't do our training today. I'm glad I have my iPad, it would be an awful,y long day otherwise,

Well the weekend was nice, the weather isn't horrible but I like 80 degree weather better than 70 degree weather. It is suppose to rain a lot this week. I can't wait till we put out our garden next month. I love garden food.
Today I am cleaning and each day I have been trying to clean a window or a wall or some type of spring cleaning. I don't have time to do a lot at one time, seems like we have been busy. I am ready to waterseal when the rain stops.
I def need to eat better through the week to make up for the weekend.
Its been one bad eating decision after another. Thankfully its a new week!
Hope everyone has a great day!

Hello Team,
I started really strong this month but I started to back slide last week. My Plan of Action this week is to track my food and watch my calories. I did pretty good with my water but I am going to drink as much as I can. Also, I plan to workout for 60 minutes 6 days this week including stretches burning a minimum of 200 calories daily. Plus, I will be walking more. I wish everyone a happy and healthy week!

What a beautiful weekend we have had. I am so glad winter is over! I didn't get as many steps in as I should have yesterday but we went to a church that had a special event last night. IT was worth it. Today I have to go to the funeral home so I am trying to get as many steps in before I leave.
Eating was off too yesterday because they had a bake sale last night.
Trying to do better today.
I think I have at least one off day a week. I wish I had more willpower but I don't.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend!

Sorry it haven't been around much. Time sometimes just gets away from me. We got a call from our realtor last night with a full price offer on the house! It means we probably underpriced it, but at this point we just want it sold. Hopefully everything will go well. It has to pass inspection, and they have to get their loan. Now we don't have to spend this weekend working!

Hello everyone,

I haven't been by to talk with you for 3 days. We are having some major issues with our plumbing in our home. The bathroom upstairs is leaking and has leaked onto the first floor of our home. We have had people coming by to find out about the leak(s). We have been told that the floor under the tile in our upstairs bathrooms are moist from the leaks. The company have set up two large machines upstairs to dry the floor and one large machine downstairs to dry the ceiling. Our bathrooms will have to be totally replaced. This may take anywhere from a week to a few weeks for the repairs to be completed. We had some mold growing but not enough has been detected so far that we have to evacuate the house.

One good thing about all of this is that we will be able to get upgraded our bathrooms upstairs and get a new kitchen ceiling. The down side to all of this is that it has taken me away from being able to talk with you, my SPFriends. I am sticking with my program as closely as possible, but I am not getting any exercise in. I am thankful that we do not have to leave our home for the repairs that are beginning to take place. Right now we have a big hole in the top of our kitchen ceiling. It is just something when one thinks that all is well and then everything seems to become unglued. But I guess we can say that is just the way life works. I will take the lemons and make lemonade. Thank God for His favor and everlasting mercy.

Hope to be back with you soon after all of this construction is complete. Take care and Keep Sparking! emoticon

RACHEL - Thank you for your prayers.

PAM - My surgery is scheduled quite yet. CT scan on Tuesday and then on the 22nd I see the surgeon and get the surgery scheduled. No Pam. I'm not giving your weather back at least not until August anyway.

Bad food day yesterday but back on track today. DH went out and picked us up a "large" ice cream cone dipped in chocolate from Dairy Queen. Yes, I ate my entire ice cream cone - - but it sure was good.

92 here yesterday but only in the 80's for the rest of the week with rain/thunderstorms. Hopefully they're wrong on so many storms. We just aren't use to all this rain down here in our town. Gas is coming down again - yeah!!! $2.03/gallon!!

Beautiful day here today - mid 80's with just a nice breeze. Rain is scheduled for this weekend however. We've already tripled our rainfall for the entire year!! Really strange for down here.

My CT scan of the abdomen is scheduled for 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14th and then I'm scheduled to see the surgeon again on Wednesday, April 22. I hate these waiting games!!! I'd much rather do it and get it over with. especially when you and the surgeon both know that it has to be done.

Thank you so much for your prayers everyone. I really appreciate them. God has everything in control !!

Not much more news on this end so I'm going to get ready for bed. Chat soon!

A least it was only rain, we had about 3 inches of snow yesterday morning. Good thing it melted quickly. Today wasn't so bad. The sun was out though for a while. It really needs to warm up a little.

Hi Team,
Good Morning all!!! It's been raining and we sure need it so its been a blessing. It should stop by Thursday so a good weekend is planned. I have a portable workstation set up in my living room and I'm staying out of my bedroom until it's time to go to sleep. It seems to be working. I'm actually starting to have more energy during the day like I'm supposed to and I'm sleeping at night. Now the next step is not eating in bed. I'm starting with no chocolate items in bed. We'll see how that goes. Baby steps toward a good nights sleep. I stopped my book work at 7:00 and just watched my favorite shows on TV until I went to bed. It was really because there was so much more that needed to be done but it will still be their today. Besides I still have so many shows to catch up on in order to see all my shows from three weeks. I love DVR. I can set up my recordings and I don't have to worry about missing if I can't watch for some reason. Also not multitasking for once was really relaxing. Now I need to get back into exercising.

NANCY, Good morning my friend. I'm sure that was an emotional weekend. I hope it was filled with lots of happy memories. I've heard that getting a place ready to sell can be quite a bit of work although I have never been through it myself. I hope you have a great week and lots of sunshine to brighten your days.

JUDY, I'm so sorry to hear about more health issues. It seems the tunnel just keeps getting longer but the bright light is still there and God and the rest of us are here for you. (Although we can't help as much as He can) emoticon

Dearest Heavenly Father please stay close to my dear friend JUDY. She has come through so many health trials already. Comfort her dear Loord. Open her ears and mind that she may hear the soft loving words you have for her as she awaits the forthcoming news a another surgery. Take away or at least lessen her pain. Speak to her of your abundant love. Remind her that you are with her and please comfort her dear Lord. I ask that You bless JUDY abundantly. Dear Lord I ask all these things in your most heavenly name. Amen

PAM - So great to have you back on board here. I'm glad your mom's doing better and getting stronger each day. Just one day at a time. Be sure to get some much needed "me" time as well as some much needed sleep I'm sure.

I really am going to try to make this short(er) tonight. I finished going through my friend's house from top to bottom as well as a lot of sorting out. I've even started working on my own mobile home a little.

I made a new recipe (diabetic) tonight and my husband said it was "ok" but I noticed that he ate 2 LARGE helpings!! The recipe PORK CHOPS DELUXE, made 6 helpings and I thought for sure I'd have enough to put in the freezer for another day but I don't think it's going to make it there. Making out a weekly menu really seems to do the trick for me.

Saw the surgeon today. They are scheduling me for a CT Scan but, yes, surgery is needed AGAIN. Pains are becoming more frequent, stronger, and spreading across to different parts of my abdomen now. Dr. also noticed a thickness further up my abdomen which I knew was there on both sides but never said anything. Will let you know more when I find out more.

Hope everyone had a great Easter/Resurrection Day.

Hello all. Thank you all for the good wishes for me to get better. I'm mostly over the cold now. I still have a slight cough and some congestion. We spent this weekend working on our rental house. We bought the house I grew up In from the estate when my mom died. We fixed it up and tried to sell it then, but the market crashed so we rented it instead. Our tenants moved out in January. I did some cleaning and we went over spent one day painting but haven't worked too hard in it. We had a realtor come Saturday snd decided to put it on the market. We had to hurry up to get it ready to sell! I hope it sells this time. Between working and the emotions stirred up from being there all weekend, I am exhausted.

Hi Team,
Well I've been a busy bee today. Got plenty of sleep last night. emoticon I have been doing like my therapist said. I get up at 9:00 each morning no matter how late I stay up. I've been a bit sleep deprived but I'm starting to get used to it. I'm starting to go to bed earlier because my body is just to worn out. I go like crazy each day. I think that is why I was late getting the challenge out. Once I get caught up I think I will be more on top of things. I met someone at Mom's and then I spent 3 hours at the DMV getting a CA ID for Mom. When we finally got to a counter the girl was really nice. She had Mom go to the front of the line to get her picture taken. I let her take the O2 off for the picture. emoticon She was exhausted by the time we got home. Then it was off shopping with my DH. We got home around 3:00 and then spent an hour trying to get a med refilled. That is a story all in itself. I go through it each time I need a refill from this doctor. Now I'm going through all my paperwork and getting caught up on the posts and watching my favorite TV shows that have recorded the 3 weeks I was gone all at the same time. I'm a great multi-tasker.

DIANE, Babysitting my 6 & 5 y/o GS is one of my favorite things. Its a great age and I love playing with them. I can't wait until things with Mom slows down so I can spend time with then.

MIMI, Sounds like your as busy as I am. Remember we need to take our me time so we can keep up our crazy schedules. I'm doing my chores everywhere but the bedroom. When I go to bed tonight all the paperwork will stay out of my room. This is a the rule that my therapist suggested. Treat my life like a job. Get up and do what needs doing. Stop and leave it at a specific time. The bedroom is for sleeping. This is all to make my sleep patterns more in sync with the rest of the world.

Our little one is 7 yo. I think if we had picked him up from his house, he would have done better. My daughter and son-in-law brought him to us and I think he felt left behind. He loves us dearly, but when they left him, he just felt deserted. He is okay now and is have a lot of fun with his Poppie. He loves Grammie, but Poppie plays football and catch with him and he thoroughly enjoys that.

Glad you are doing well and that things are working out with your Mom.

Be blessed and have a good night's rest... emoticon

DIANE,
I'm so glad to be home. I loved staying with Mom but it was very difficult. Mom wants me to move in but I'm not ready for that and she doesn't need it. She's going to start a day program soon which I think wI'll be really good for her. It will get her out of the house for awhile. How old is your little one. M 6 yo GS stayed with us from the time he was an infant. The younger just started spending the night about a year ago but he had with his brother and didn't miss mom and dad at all, but then again they adore Nana.

ELLEN: Congrats on the weight loss. Every ounce counts.

NANCY: Thanks for the birthday wish. I receive it with a full heart. I hope you begin to feel better real soon. Take care of yourself.

PAM: Glad to know that things have begun to settle down for you. You were missed greatly. Being at home will make things seem to go a little easier. Try to rest and concentrate a little more on yourself.

RWHUDDLE: Congrats on the increase in exercise that you had this week. Hope next week will also be rewarding for you. Keep up the good work.

Our grandson is spending Spring Break with us this week. It is so good to have him with us. The first night that he stay, he started to cry for him Mommy and Daddy. We let him call them and they talked with him, Afterwards he was alright. He seemed to be okay after the phone call and we are glad that he was. We usually let him call them everyday that he is with us so he will not get too homesick. He was busy today with his Auntie. They made Resurrection Rolls and talked about the Resurrection of Jesus. It was good to hear him talk about the story of Jesus' Resurrection. After all of the activities that went on today, the little tike was very tired. As soon as he hit the bed, he was fast asleep.

Happy Resurrection Day on tomorrow everyone.

Hi Team,
Today was a very productive day. I spent a lot of time in the shower. It felt so good. I colored my hair. I put on a bit of make-up. It's been a long time since I made myself look good. Styled my hair and out the door. Went to J's to get the shopping list. It was a long one. I picked up mom so she could shop too. We were in the store for 2 1/2 hours, up and down each isle, some 3-4 times. They rearranged the store and I can't find anything. We got some workout today. Mom was so tired by the time we got home. I left at 1 and didn't get back home until 5:00. I'm tired too.

Nancy, So glad your feeling a bit better. It has been two months I got sick and I'm just now feeling like the congestion is almost entirely gone.

RACHAEL, we aren't doing much for Easter. I'll probably go to church but that's about it. I'll spend time with mom. I need to take her for a walk. I have a small basket for her and a card.
Well that's it for today. HAVE A HAPPY AND BLEESED EASTER!!!

Dianne - emoticon Sorry I'm late. I hope you had a great day!

Judy - You've had your hands full lately. I hope you get some rest.

Pam - It's good to hear from you. I'm glad your mom is doing better.

I'm getting sick re my cold. I was amazed at how much better I felt after taking a day off work. All the extra rest and some chicken soup seem to have helped. I'm still a bit congested, but my throat isn't scratchy and the cough isn't nearly as bad.

Hi Team,
I'm not going to try to catch up, but I'm finally back home. Mom is starting to get stronger. I still need to go their each day to take her for a walk. So far she can walk just over one block. We used to walk all day before she started getting sick about 2 years ago. Last year we walked about 5 blocks and back again. Now just over 1 block and back. Huge change in what seems like such a short time. Now she walks with an oxygen tank. In fact she's now on Oxygen 24x7. Well it's nice to be home sleeping in my own bed and able to see my husbands face.
I need to go grocery shopping tomorrow and re-stock my kitchen, J kitchen and Mom's kitchen.
Good night and sweet dreams. Hopefully I'll have time to catch with all tomorrow.

BRENDA - emoticon to our great team!! You have plenty of reasons to get yourself healthy and to stay healthy. Taking it just one day at a time is the correct way to keep going. If you have a bad day, just pick yourself up and keep on going forward!

We are here to help you in any way we can.

It was another windy day here in the RGV. However, it was in the 80's again so we are all happy campers now that it has finally warmed up!!

I started working on my own mobile home today - definitely needed it! Still doing taxes as well. Tomorrow, I hope to finish up the taxes as well as to finish up my girlfriend's mobile home for her. My friend called today and said she has to go in for a CT scan to see how things are progressing and whether or not she can start on the chemo yet. She's still planning on coming down to the RGV in the Fall. We had a nice long chat on the phone.

Well, time for me to get ready for bed I've been feeling absolutely exhausted these past few days and need to start getting to bed earlier. Have a great day tomorrow everyone.

Judy - I think it's just a bad cold. I don't have a fever and so far no muscle aches. If I don'tget better I will go to the doctor. I stayed home today to get some extra rest. You sure have been busy at your friends! Good luck to you and your family with all the doctor visits.

Diane - I hope you were able to get some rest.

Carrie - I don't think this is allergies. I've had no energy at all and feel like I'm in a fog. I have a Fitbit, and there is a fee, but only if you upgrade to the Fitbit Premium". I don't know what extra options there are. I just signed up for the free trial. I'll let you know what the extras are.

Hello everyone,

My name is Brenda and I've been a lurker on this list for a very long time but I'm trying to make some healthy changes. My grandma always said you can do something for a day that you thought you could never do for life. I'm going to expand on that philosophy and say I can do something for a week that I thought I could never do for life just by doing it one day, one hour or one minute at a time.

You see I have to succeed this time - not just for my health - I'm 50 and have already had a heart attack. But also for the sake of my family. My husband is tired of me being sick and tired all the time - he's lonely.

So I'm reaching out to the teams I've lurked on and I'm going to make the changes it takes to become one of the healthy winners.

Thank you for being here!

Brenda

emoticon Not much news on the home front here. Weather's been great even though it's a bit windy here. Rain expected tomorrow and then Sat and Sun. I failed in the food category today - went to Peter Piper Pizza with another couple. Wrong idea. Shouldn't have said "NO" when they asked us. Pizza is my biggest downfall. That's why I don't go very often anymore - - it's one food I absolutely cannot resist!!!! I did have a large salad along with my pizza; however, I still went overboard on the pizza by quite a bit. Glad I got that one out of my system!!! I immediately came home and did some gardening (trimming dead branches off bushes, watering, plants etc). It's not near enough fitness to make up for the extra calories however.

Spent this evening working on taxes - getting things ready to take to the library where AARP does the taxes for free for seniors. I absolutely hate this time of year for that very reason.

CARRIE - There is a fee for Fitbit (weekly or monthly). I have a Fitbit and I've never used it since I found that out. So, I switched over to SPAT. SP has the tracker for half price at the present time so I bought one more of those also. My first one bit the dust.

PAM - - Where are you? Haven't seen you on here in a while. I pray everything is ok with you and your mom. emoticon on here.

Well, my DH and the "girls" are in bed so I think I'll do a little more on the taxes and then hit the bed myself.

Nancy, doing 10-15 minutes is a great idea that way you can build up your strength, distance and time! My allergies have been a killer for me too. I must have went through a half a box of tissues yesterday.

Judy, I am praying for your family. I noticed that you are getting a lot of fitness in way to go!

Diane, I think that doing the research before you buy the Fitbit is a good idea. I noticed that you are tired make sure that you make time to get some rest.

JUDY: emoticon , but you have to do what is necessary for your family. Just remember to also take care of yourself also.

CARRIE: I am still using my SPAT. I am so thankful that it is deciding to work. I was looking at investing in a Fitbit. Not sure when, but I am doing the research and looking at reviews to see if it is worth the money that will be spent on it. If you have any inside info on the Fitbit, I would appreciate some feedback.

I have had a long 3 days. I am wiped out. I am very tired. Did some minor grocery shopping today. Saturday and Sunday I was in church all day. I hope the rest of my week will be a little less strenuous. I plan to do some spring cleaning since the weather is going to be so nice.

Have a good week and pleasant dreams... emoticon

emoticon ! Yes, we are all still alive. Sorry I haven't been on here much this past week but promise to try to do better this week.

CARRIE and ya'll - - My DH had his dr's appointment today. Dr said the ER report said there was a very large (4mm - bigger than the other one he had a couple of years ago which they had said was a large one at that time) kidney stone and cysts. He is having an ultra sound etc for the kidneys and a chest x-ray for the nodules he has in his lung.

As for my brother, he is having some tests on his heart but haven't heard anything since. He is so stubborn!!

As for myself. I see the surgeon on the 6th of April. In the meantime, I'm trying to finish up my girlfriend's mobile home. Everything is back where it belongs (all the things that they had to leave behind) and straightened out, gone through etc. Lots and lots of stuff!! I am, however, enjoying looking through all the dozens and dozens of cook books she left behind as well. I love cook books. All I have left there is to dust, mop, and wash the windows on the inside. I might have my hu out.band go through the shed and straighten that. Then, I will be done there. emoticon

My DH, the girls, and myself are still walking our 2 miles a day. The weather has been in the mid 80's - 90 degrees for the last several days. Sure does feel good!!! I've been getting lots and lots of fitness points - - I've gone WELL over my monthly minutes that I had planned on for the challenge this month. I'm emoticon emoticon over that.

NANCY - Sorry to hear that you are sick. Take extra care of yourself as this bug this year is a very wicked one and usually hits people twice - back to back. Get lots of rest and fluids and see your dr. It's not one that goes away by itself.

NANCY - Sorry about your fall. We use our thumbs for just about everything!! I have to agree with you - I don't think you "jarred 10# off). emoticon .

DIANE - You are doing great with your sodium. That's something that I am really bad at even though I've been trying quite hard to keep it down. Eve though my sodium shows high on here, my blood tests for sodium shows me at the bottom of the normal range. Go figure!!

I noticed that Pam hasn't been on here for a while now. I sure hope all is well with her and her mom. emoticon PAM!!!

Have a great day tomorrow.

Judy F emoticon emoticon

Rachael - I think you did pretty good with you're net out. It's hard to make healthy choices when eating out.

Carrie - I'm trying to get at least a 10-15 minute walk each day at work. I want to,get gs I into working out before work every day.

Nancy - I'm sorry to hear about your fall and your poor thumb. I hope you feel better soon.

I've been having trouble being congested lately. I woke up this morning with a scratchy throat, a cough, and now my bose is running. I feel awful. I skipped my mor ing workout. I did manage to go for two 10 mo it's walks, just not at a very fast pace. I'm home for the evening now and not doing anything. I plan to be in bed early too.

emoticon all. Hope your day has been a good one.

I slipped and fell today. I hit a slick spot in the mud...and my feet were out from under me fast. I don't think I've ever hit the ground so hard. I had jammed my thumb a week or so ago...well, I managed to land right on it. I am not one to cry easily, but, I did then. As I just sit there...first thing that came to mind was....as hard as I had hit, I should have jarred off 10 lbs. Don't imagine that has happened. Even if it did, I wouldn't recommend it. I had to take 4 cans of chili beans & 2 cans of rotel up to my daughter for her to open them. I can't use the thumb with much pressure. Will watch it and see if I need to do anything. Only thing is, now it seems I'm bumping it on things. Oh well, life goes on. ...........

So Saturday I did not track all my food because I ate out, yesterday I tracked most, today I plan to track all. This weekend was really hard. I did do pretty good on my steps and we ate at Applebee's and I ate most of my cals there but I also did not eat even half of my entrťe but we had a appetizer and a dessert shooter which was better than a big dessert. So I try to make better choices when I am out. I might have a cheat day but I try not to make it one I will regret the next day.
It is suppose to warm up slowly this week, I hope so because I want to get outside and walk/jog again.
I have so much spring cleaning to do I could have used the kids home for spring break but they lost it due to snow days, so I will be spending a lot of my time running back and forth from the bus stop, I tried to add it and that is about two hours of my day, and that's if my oldest daughter gets home in time. Last week the bus was a hour late. It would have been nice to know he had to run two routes.
Well I better get to cleaning, hope everyone has a great week!!

Diane - You're doing great! Good for you for not taking the day as a "free day" and tracking. Your sodium was pretty good co sideri g you ate out. Restsursnt food is usually high in sodium.

Today, I took my sister to a doctor's appointment that was about two hours away from where I live. It was a very rainy day, but my DH and I enjoyed being with my sister. I had planned to eat lunch at Subway, but did not find a Subway anywhere. I had planned out everything that I was going to order. Well, there was a change of plans. We ate at IHOP. What a challenge. I did well considering, thank God. I started not to track my food and use today as a "free day", but I did track it anyway and to my surprise I did not go over my calorie intake not my sodium intake. Talking about a happy camper, I was really happy. So to God be the Glory for the success. I did use my phone to see what damage I did, but had not updated my SPAT, so I did not know how many calories I could have for the day. I am so thankful for the Spark app. It let me see calories and all.

Sodium intake for today was 1964 mg. That was close but not over.

Well it's late...I am outta here!!! have a good night and pleasant dreams,,, emoticon

Thanks JUDY and NANCY. When I purchased the second tracker, I also purchased another dongle. I will take your advice and try to replace the old one with a new one and see how that goes. I may have to invest in one.

Today my sodium intake is 1535 mg.

Have a great night everyone... emoticon

Carrie - Thaks for the encouragement. I really need it.

Diane - Sorry to hear about your tracker. I have a fitbit and love it. I've actually had three. I got the cheapest one first that you clip on. My husband got me the Flex last year for Christmas. His company gave his team at work the Surge. He won't wear it so he gave it to me. It has a watch, tracks steps, stairs, sleep, and calories burned. I'm not sure how accurate it is, you wear it on your wrist si I not sure it count arm movement as steps.

Judy - I'm sorry to hear about your husband. i hope he's feeling better soon. I'm glad you r
We're able to get ahold of your brother. It's good that the jaundice is gone. I hope they are able to figure out his blood pressure issues.

I have really been struggling with my eating. I tracked Monday but went over. Yesterday I didn't bother even trscking. Our cafeteria has a nacho/taco bar onTuesday. I was goingto have a taco salad and go heavy on the veggies. I had nachos instead. My only exercise was two 15 minute walks.timeto get serious!

emoticon . I'm going to try to make this short as I need some very much needed sleep!!! Had my DH into the ER last night via ambulance. He had severe abdominal pains - - when he got out of the tub and said "call", I said "call who?" He said "the ambulance!" He has only told me to call the ambulance maybe 2 other times in the last almost 17 years so he was definitely in a lot of pain. His C-Diff is back full swing, he was dehydrated from all the runs to the bathroom the past few days (he drinks a lot of fluids besides) immediately after he eats etc. He also has kidney stones and a cyst on 1 kidney. He was a happy camper however as they gave him his "go to" drug of choice - Dilaudid IV (10 times stronger than morphine) That's some good stuff as that is what I get also - - we are both allergic to morphine). It works instantly!!!

My brother finally showed up at his mobile home late last night. He had been in a hospital in Edinburg this time. The specialist never showed up at the other hospital after 20 hours so he left there. One of his students took him to Mission, TX to see his dr there and his doctor got a hole of a specialist who had him admitted immediately in Edinburg, TX. They went down his throat with a scope and found a large stone in the liver duct. The first hospital had the wrong diagnoses - - not a happy camper there. Now, he has to see a heart specialist on Thursday as he about passes out from his BP dropping whenever he's in a standing position. His severe jaundice was completely gone when I saw him this evening. Looked much better than he did last week.

My girlfriend and her DH left to go back to ND on an emergency trip. They were packing and moving as well at the same time. They were both so exhausted the day before when they were going to leave but they still weren't ready at 5 p.m. and I talked them into staying one more night to get a good night's sleep and then taking off in the morning. Well, I went over to tell them good bye in the morning and they were no where near ready. At 1 p.m. they still hadn't left and I went over and caught her still going through some things and cleaning the mobile home. I told her not to bother with that and I would take care of it. They had to leave a LOT and I do mean a LOT of things behind so I had a lot of "fitness" points in for this afternoon after I finally got them to leave so they could make it in time to see the cancer dr on Friday (takes 1 day to get from the bottom to the top of TX alone). I still have a lot of work to do over there but it will have to wait until Thursday as I have an appt with the foot specialist in Brownsville in the afternoon. All together this afternoon I had 342 fitness points racked up (900+ calories burned). I've found muscles in my back that I had forgotten I even had!! I'm sure I will feel more of them tomorrow morning.

Diane - - My tracker did the same thing to me. I finally ended up getting myself another SP tracker. I put the new dongle in and it gave me all my points for just about 2 weeks back and then I had to put the new tracker into use. So, it might be your dongle as well. There was only 1 day I didn't get credit for with my steps.

PAM - - I'm glad your mom is doing better and that you do get a chance to get out of the house for a walk etc You need that time alone also. HUGS!!

I'm going to get off of here (it didn't turn out to be so short of a note after all). Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow!!

You will never guess what has happened to my Tracker. Now this is my second one, the first one I lost while I was out and about. This SPAT is not downloading my steps, miles, or exercise activity. I have done everything that is possible to try to get it to read my info and put on the dashboard. I am having to manually enter my exercise minutes and my steps I cannot get any credit for at all. I have with my first Tracker contacted Support and have done everything that I remember them saying to get the thing to work, but it is just not working. I have been putting in info for my SP app, most of the times I can enter it into my phone, but when my internet is not working on my phone, I use my tablet or my PC. Sometimes this phone acts so crazy. I have not tried the Fitbit. How does it work?

Today was very busy for me. I did not do as well as I had hoped to do, but I still did not go over my calorie range. Praise the Lord. My sodium intake for today was 1259 mg.

Hope tomorrow will be better. I am so thankful that my treadmill have a data processing center to indicate the number of miles and the number of calories and minutes that I use. I guess I will have to get my data from there until this SPAT begins to work again. Oh well!!!!

Have a good nite and a wonderful day on tomorrow... emoticon

Carrie - You are going to meet your goals for the month! I'm not even close on my exercise minutes goal.

Diane - I have some tea that's supposed to help with sleep. I need to drink that when hubby is away. You're doing great with your sodium Intake! I'm sorry your son-in-law has so much back pain. My husband suffers with degenerative disc disease and arthritis on top of that. I have never felt that pain, but it does hurt to see someone you love hurting. I hope the therapy will help ease some of your son-in-laws pain.

Judy - I'm glad you took some time for yourself and spoiled yourself with the new DVDs.

Rachael - How was your walk/jog? We haven't had very many days nice enough to walk outside. i will be sure to take advantage of the next one have.

Pam - It's good to hear from you again. I'm glad your mom is doing better. It's good that you are able to,stay with her and take care of her.

My eating got out of control this weekend. Yesterday was better. I have some meals planned but need to spend more time working on that. Maybe tonight I'll take the time for that.

Hi team,
Sorry it's been so long since I posted anything. I'm still here at moms. We went to her doctor today. It's the first time she's been out of the house. The doctor suggested that I continue to stay with mom for the next week or two until she is stronger. Her oxygen level went down 5 points with O2 just walking about a small block. Her memory is not the best. Their are several things I have noticed since I've been here. She tires so easily. I'm really tired. I've been cleaning and sorting ever since I got here which has been over a week, not to mention meeting with all the people that have been sent over here. It's been difficult. But on the good side mom is not hacking and doesn't go into spasmodic coughing fits. I need to set up some more appointments for next week. Another good thing is I've been having no trouble sleeping at night.

Carrie, how are you doing with you renewed exercise?

DIANE, I'm so sorry about your son in law. I pray that the good Lord sees fit to lay a healing hand upon him. I hope the PT helps. I'm glad your GS had so much with GM. Sounds like fun. I love it when my GSs come to visit. Your doing so well with your sodium. I think I need to start watching mine also. Oh well one thing at a time. I've been doing a lot of cooking so that's a good start.

JUDY, So sorry to hear about your brother. I will keep him in my prayers. I will also keep you in my prayers. I'm glad you have an appt, but sorry it's so far away. Keep depending on our Lord and keep smiling your a lovely lady. Yes I'm taking care of myself. Mom has one of those jacuzzi walk in tubs. I was in it for an hour yesterday and I went for a nice walk today. I just took in the sunshine. In fact I was paying so much attention to the blue sky and chirping birds that I caught my foot on a lift in the sidewalk and down I went. No scrapes but I'll probably have a bruise tomorrow. I was more embarrassed than anything else.

RACHEL, Thank you for thinking of me. Getting together with friends for a walk/jog sounds like great fun. I could definitely go for a walk with friends. I took a twenty minute walk today. It felt really good to get out of the house for awhile. Each day I've been walking down to my house (one block away) to make my Smoothy and change my clothes. I could bring everything here but it gives me a reason to go and leave everything at moms.
