I actually had my gall bladder removed unneccessarily - the Nexium caused the test to show that my gall bladder wasn't working as it should. I am still mad about it - now my reflux is 10 times worse.

Initial signs of gall bladder disorders are often times not treated; since they are normally thought to be signs of common digestive system conditions which can get alleviated by themselves. In most of the situations, no initial signals are seen and gallbladder complications are diagnosed in case the problem gets worse. It is vital to form understanding about gall bladder complications signs or signs or symptoms. And so, right here is the necessary info about signs of gallbladder conditions adult females.

Disease, normally because of the existence of gallistones is regarded as the major factors that cause gall bladder conditions. Gallistones develop congestion within the pathway of the bile, resulting in infections and swelling of a gall bladder. The illness also is commonly called cholecystitis. Chubby women of all ages, adult females who comply with fad diet plans and reduce weight substantially, adult females with thyroid gland complications, genealogy and family history, high cholesterol levels, all forms of diabetes, and specific other health problems will probably experience gall bladder disorders. Drastically wrong diet plans, a number of drug treatments and ageing are usually the reason for gall bladder conditions signs.

Gallbladder signs in men and some females are more or less identical; but also in case females, all these signs and symptoms are often more typically overlooked since a lot of females typically believe that the stomach soreness could be caused by menstruating complications. The truth is, significantly more situations of gallbladder health problems are seen women of all ages in comparison with males; since adult females suffer much more from hormone disproportion since they have oral contraceptives and undergo several stages of development like the age of puberty, the monthly period, carrying a child, lactation and having menopause.

You are right that the drugs haven't been around long enough to get all the results of them yet. Mary :)

Wow! I wonder if it was the prilosec, too! WIth the huge growth in these meds there is going to be real hard evidence of this in the future.

I worked in drug research for a little while and there are so many things that just don't come out in the studies. It's not neccesarily negligence, it's just that it takes time for this stuff to show up and there are odd things that happen that don't seem to be related.

This is the link to the study that showed the PPI's and their effect on gall bladder

I hope no one had surgery for no reason.

Good luck on the Vinegar..

The vinegar pills have almost no acid in most of them
be careful brushing you teeth right after. Like soda, the acid is high and brushing hard after drinking it can reduce your tooth enamel and cause problems.
Try strong homemade lemonade (I use SPlenda and lemon juice concentrate with water) if you can't bear the vinegar.
Be careful because it may really hurt if you have irritation.

But I should add they put me on Nexium and I found great improvement of my belching (that was my only system), after 2 years I stopped taking it. Now a year later I am back to belching and the scope shows I have GERD again. So far not taking anything. I don't take TUMS but I am looking into the holistic treatment of Vinegar with mother from the health food store.

I felt like a million after my GB was removed, I only had 1 attach 20 years ago and gave up butter and was then fine. But when I got RA they thought it should come out, it had 2 small stones, I have had no problems but I don't eat fried anything so maybe that is why

I had my first gall bladder attack at 18, by the time I was 38 ( a few attacks the last 6 months) Imy gall bladder had quit functioning all together. I was not taking any meds at all! I cannot tolerate fried or greasy foods ever since its removal!

Several years ago I was on prescription prilosec. I was in the hospital for something else when they did an ultra sound on me. I was then told that there was something wrong with my gall bladder. My then doctor sent me for more tests after I was well from my hospital stay. Those too should that my gall bladder was working properly.

Before I knew, I was in the hospital having my gall bladder removed. Later the surgeon told me that my gall bladder looked perfectly normal....not so much a grit of sand in it.

After that my IBS got 10 times worse because of the removal of it. Now I wonder if all that time it was prilosec?

If you haven't seen a gastroenterologist maybe you should go. Have them check for h-pilori while you are there, it's the germ that causes ulcers. You have to be careful not to take too much of some of these over the counter stuff, too.

I thought I was weird ! I have had the acid in my sinus cavities , ears and lungs. I am going through this right now. Prilosec isn't helping at 4 times a day.

I had gall bladder pain while I was on a PPI Prilosec. It seems like it can slow down the gall bladder and perhaps encourage the bile to build up. I switched to Tums and ranitidine and it went away. Im nor suggesting folks stop, but if they are having pain and gallbladder symptoms - "ask your doctor."

I have/had "silent' GERD- The only bad symptom I had was that I suddenly couldn't swallow spit and I had chronic throat problems and coughs. Not much heartburn. That stuff was backing up into my sinuses. YUCK! Now I have healed up to where my GERD isn't silent, I feel heartburn pretty regularly now. Slowly getting better.
