If the weather holds true we should have a great late afternoon for our bar-b-que rib dinner. Forecast is for a high of 94F today with 37% humidity, light breeze and partly cloudy skies.

Today is the same as yesterday - 81F this morning with 78F dew point. High in the mid-90s with sunny skies. Heat advisory continues. Today activity: finished and early morning walk, church later this morning, brunch, watching a little football this afternoon, and staying cool.

Have a nice Sunday just because you guys desire it!

Hot and humid today. High in the upper 80s and probably the same for humidity. Glad I got some yard work done last night. Started the day with a 5K color run. Had a good time. Not a great time but I'm still working my way back from my calf issues. Spent the rest of the morning and afternoon in a conference. Not the best way to spend my time with the semester fast approaching but I'm glad I went.

It wasn't too bad earlier this afternoon when we walked. Mid-eighties with lower humidity made it tolerable and we got thirty-five minutes in. Severe t-storm watch in effect till nine tonight. Today was weigh day and if I can keep it rolling I should hit one-derland again in a couple weeks or three. Home grown tomatoes are great diet food! They deserve their own song!

11:38 pm Tucson time and the morning is almost done. It was a beautiful morning with partly cloudy skies, low humidity, a mild, fresh breeze and temps in the 70's and 80's. It is just now reaching the 90's with a forecast afternoon high of 96. I worked outdoors from 7am to 11am. Trimmed the shrubs in the front yard, blew off the driveway and walks. I then spent the rest of the morning in our back yard patio - no lawn area and the only plantings are a hedge along our rear property line and one, single, beautiful lemon tree with about a million lemons on it (or so it seems). I washed down the patio paver stone, built in bar and grill, cleaned all the patio furniture and our recessed hot tub/spa. Everything is now ready for tomorrow's St. Louis pork spare rib bar-b-que.

Yesterday was just plain miserable here on the Delmarva, but that humidity fueled some awesome storms last night. Today it is 84F / 29C, but dew point has dropped to 68F and should keep going down. It will get close to 90F today. Rain gauge has 1.56" from the storms last night. For the week we are well over 4" of rain!

So far today: breakfast, walk with Teresa (she is not feeling well today so was hoping a walk would make her feel a bit better), and errands. After I finish my lunch heading out to finish the section of the garden I have mulch for (need to put down some new landscaping fabric too), then mow as much as I can. There is still standing water out front. Hopefully later it will have soaked in and / or evaporated.

Tonight: Either our last HelloFresh dinner (chicken) or leftovers from Texas Roadhouse (pork).

Have a great rest of your Saturday gents!

85 degrees with a 78 dew point. I am soaking wet with perspiration. Ugh.

Working in garden. Now I'm hydrating. I am going to change to dry clothes and then harvest for tomorrow's farmers market.

Hope your Saturday is cooler than mine!

Oops. Forgot to check in yesterday. Today looks like a beautiful day for the last day of opening week. Temps in the low 80s and cloudy skies. The first year students will race the cars they designed across campus dealing with various challenges along the way. I'm sponsoring 3 cars this year so I enjoy going out and following them as they race. Always a good time. This afternoon I have to evaluate our new graduate teaching assistants. Next week starts the new semester.

Currently, eighty-four with eighty percent humidity. Maybe a shorter walk today? Thinking about checking out our local indoor mall. Haven't been there for years, but it's still open and they used to have a mall walkers track. It's about half empty these days, so I don't know what I'll find. Good day to all!

81F at 8 am headed to 97F. Heat advisory again today with a heat index over 110F. It's not a good day for any outside activities unless absolutely necessary. Finished an early morning and Pilates this morning. continue to struggle with seasonable allergies.

75F in Lake Lure with highs expected in the upper 80s. Plumbers continue their work and should finish today or early next week. I'll be setting up county inspection, insulation contractor and dry wall installers today.

Cloudy and 79F / 26C, dew point at an oppressive 75F, heading to the upper 80's with storms later on.

On tap for today: AM yoga here at home, replaced toilet set in master bath (that was unplanned!), breakfast, and work. Tonight: Assuming it is not cancelled due to storms, 5K race. Not sure what we'll do for dinner. We have leftovers.

TGIF gents!

Up early to wash the sheets on the bed in preparation for good friends coming to visit tonight and staying the weekend. It will be hot - today 99F tomorrow about the same - but we'll have a great time catching up and going out on the boat. We are inaugurating the sofabed that we've had for a year and half but never slept on. It's a memory foam mattress, probably the best sleeper sofa I've ever seen.

A pop up thunderstorm just "popped up"! 82F / 28C. More numerous storms tomorrow.

So far today: Yoga for abs here at home, walk with Teresa, breakfast, work, strength training at the Y, lunch, and back to work. Tonight: I need DW to help me with peering down one of the sewer vents on the roof. I think if we use her selfie stick I can get my phone over the top and take a picture. If that vent is not blocked then I'll have to get my handyman to come out to look at the one at the top of the roof. After we do that (assuming the rain stops), we'll do one of our HelloFresh dinners (either steak or chicken).

Have a great rest of your Thursday gents!

90% humidity in Barry County with a high of 87F.
Trimmed back my grape vines, need to do some serious weeding around them. Got back a good response from one of my readers on my Flash Fiction collection.
Tried to start another writer's group. Same ol', same ol'. A pile of folks who just want to write about god and jesus in the Ozarks. It's a No-Go again.

Thursday, stay de-humidified.

76 degrees with a dew point of 73. Humid today and we may actually get some rain this afternoon.

Goals for the day are to plant some beets and to clean up the weedy area where I'd grown peas this spring. If it rains this afternoon, I'll be working on our turkey tractor.

Have a great Thursday.

Heat advisory in effect today and probably the next few days. 81F at 7AM (77F dew point) high around 97F (heat index at 110).

I either suffering from acute sinusitis or a hang over. Since I only had a single glass of red wine, I'm leaning to seasonal allergens. Needless to say, I missed my early morning walk so it's a visit to the gym later this morning, if I'm up to it.

There is a good thing about hangovers, the day usually gets better.

It Thursday and I didn't win the lottery last night!

High of 97F today - yes, we are still in the throes of summer.

Heading to the other campus today to meet new students and find out how the first week of the semester is going. We've been busy at our campus and it looks like it will be that way until finals week. I will have to stay on my toes! Friends are coming up for the weekend tomorrow. We have many fun activities planned.

High of 93F today - calm morning, slight haze...

Finalizing the Spring 2018 schedule yet again today. It has been a rollercoaster dealing with the schedule and managing the expectations of our parent college. I hope this is it so I can start working on Summer & Fall for next year. Sigh.

Cloudy and 72F / 22C here on the eastern side of the Delmarva, heading to the upper 80's. I'm betting it will stay humid too. We had 2.15" of rain yesterday. We've had over 7.5" of rain for the month!

On tap for today: AM yoga here at home, walk with Teresa, breakfast, check septic tank (we've gotten a rotten egg smell in the house with these past two heavy rains), work, run, and more work. Tonight: Good question. We have two HelloFresh dinners but we also want to go to Texas Roadhouse sometime this week.

Happy hump day gents!

Today's weather is pretty much the same as today hot and humid in the Houston area. 81F at 6 am (75F dew point) headed to the mid 90s. Finished an early morning walk, head to a yoga class later in the morning.

Sunny and warm in Lake Lure- high 81F but still humid. Plumbers continue their work. Apparently one of the bathtubs delivered last week had a crack in it. Supplier will replace it tomorrow.

Rain and humid today.
What may become a death toll for some of our smaller colleges has begun. Missouri changed the rules for college level teachers. Now you will have an MA or MS in your teaching area. This has caused many tenured teachers to lose their jobs. So Missouri has decided to sacrifice quality for a label. Most of the college teachers in our location all had their ME's
which is no longer a valid degree to teach. Like me, I had 21 years of college level teaching experience, but it was deemed not valid. Oh, well.

My collection of Flash Fiction stories will be published later this month. I'm excited. It was a re-editing pain in the butt to finish. But worth it.

Agenda: another phlebotomy.

Wednesday: leave it all behind.

Another nice morning to ride to work. Temps in the low 60s. I had a nice lunch with my 2 first-year student mentoring groups. Good time talking about preparing for the semester ahead and expectations. Much warmer this afternoon for the ride home with a high in the upper 80s. Fortunately, I have a board meeting at 6:00 for the local science center so, hopefully, it will cool down a little by the time I head home.

High of 89F today - climbing back into the 90s tomorrow. Slept better last night knowing that my dad was back home again. Waiting for further lab reports to determine root causes. Still, I was relieved enough to sleep in this morning!

First day of classes yesterday went smoothly for the most part. Let's see how today goes.

81F at 8 am, dew point at 73F, expecting another sunny and humid day with a high about 95. We're definitely in the dog day of summer here in Southwest Texas.
Finished an early morning walk before sunrise, Pilates later this morning. May take in a movie since it $5 Tuesday at the local cinema.

75F and clearing up in Lake Lure. Dew point is at 72F. The day is going to be a little humid but clearing to a mostly summer high in the low 80s.
Plumbers are in the midst of roughing-in the house. They should finish by Thursday afternoon.

Nice day to bike to work. Cloudy skies and temps in the 60s this morning and high in the low 80s this afternoon. Convocation this morning to kick off opening week for the first year students. It's going to be a busy week but always good to have the new students on campus.

81 degrees. Dew point is 66. Weather apps are all over the place re rain and some are contradicting themselves. So we may have rain in 30 minutes, or tonight, or tomorrow afternoon, or none of these, or all of them, I guess.

Did morning chores and, then, a dentist appointment. Then I went to the laundromat because my work jeans get too filthy to wash at home when I can use someone else's machine for a Handful of quarters. Now I need to hoe and tonight I'll be making tomato jam for Tomato Tasting Day at the Chestertown Farmers Market this coming Saturday. We may actually try to organize a Tomato Tasting Day some Wednesday at the Dover market.

Have a great Monday. Stay balanced.

Sunny skies at the moment, 77F / 25C, dew point at 66F, heading to the lower 80's with clouds moving in. Chance of showers overnight.

On tap for today: Walk with Teresa, yoga, breakfast, trip to vet to pick up meds for Teresa, run, and some gardening in the back yard (it's a vacation day!). Tonight: HelloFresh dinner and early bed! Red Sox - Yankees game went until 11:50PM last night! DW went into work today so she was up at 5:30AM! I got her coffee and went back to sleep for an hour. We're both going to be tired tonight!

Happy Monday gents!

A little cooler today - high of 88F. It will be back in the 90s on Wednesday. The breeze came in yesterday and we slept with the windows open. It was nice to feel the cool outside air during the night, although I am still having problems sleeping. Stress from work and parents is getting to me.

Classes start today - I need to go in early to get a few things done before the students all show up!

Got another thirty five minute walk in today. I don't know if it hit eighty today or not, but it's down to sixty-five now. DW made stuffed peppers that were quite tasty and they came from her garden. She was quite proud of them. Did them with extra lean burger and barley instead of rice. Hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend.

A nice day today. Sunny skies and a high in the low 80s. DW had an open house in STL so I went with her to help set up her signs and then hung out walking the neighborhoods. Picked out a nice coffee shop to get some work done. Last night was a beautiful evening for ice cream and fireworks to end move-in day. Tomorrow morning is convocation for the new students and then opening week officially begins. I always enjoy the convocation and getting to meet the new students so it's unfortunate that only a couple faculty attend the event.

Your dad is in our thoughts, Steve. We have Bonnie greenhouses nearby, Dave. I may try to find organic seeds for that variety for next year. Our customers like veggies that look interesting.

83 here on the west side of the Delmarva. 66 dew point. Not bad.

Did a workshop for a group this morning. Always leaves me tired. So I've been watching baseball and napping on and off. Nats lost but another game will be starting in a bit. All in all, the Nats are doing okay considering half their first string are on the injured list.

Hope your Sunday is peaceful after a disturbing Saturday.

A stressful day yesterday. Took my dad to the ER because of persistent intestinal issues. They found his potassium to be very low, so he was admitted for overnight to boost his potassium level and pump some antibiotics into his system for the intestinal problems. I'll take mom to see him after she gets up (her sleeping pills work really well - it's 8am and she hasn't stirred). I'll head back to the lake later this morning.

Heavy and noisy overnight rains brought our dawn temperature down into the 60's. My "dawn" walk with Rabbit, our temp. house dog was cool and refreshing. Temps should get up to the high 90's this afternoon, but I will be indoors watching the final round of the PGA Championship. Tomorrow is the start of another week of golf.

80F at 6AM. It gonna be another hot one. High in the mid nineties with a heat advisory in effect for today. Not spending much time outdoors, if I can help it.

Today: church and rest. Wife is interested in have brunch after mass but she doesn't sound to committed to the idea. So . . I probably spend the day catching up on my reading - since my favorite TV program (the news) is now a horror show.

Have a great Sunday!

DEAN - Here's a link to those little yellow tomatoes. They're quite tasty and quite prolific. Can't speak for the seller, but their description is nice (PS - Actually, I discovered I can speak to the seller as it's a wholesaler who sells through local retailers like Lowe's and Kmart. If you search from their site you'll find retailers near you.):

Walk stretched to thirty-five minutes today, but not as fast. Not terribly hot but plenty humid (That was about 1 PM). Following some afternoon t-storms, the temp is down now to seventy-three and the storm warning continues until 9 PM.

Another warm day, high of 96F. The many hot days have caused a change in the ecology of the lake, and there are many dead fish floating around our dock, including one of the ugliest catfish I've ever seen. It's so sad to think of all those creatures who can't control their environment enough to be able to survive - an indication of things to come for humanity?

Heading to Sacramento this morning to see my parents. Will try to stay cool.

82F at 9 AM. Another hot and humid day with a heat advisory in effect until 7 PM. Highs in the mid 90s. We had a pop-up thunderstorm late yesterday that added to the humidity. Even the bird are staying in the shade. Finished a long walk this morning followed by some yoga and stretching. I probably take in a matinee today although I haven't decided what to see. Otherwise, I'm not wandering to far away from air-conditioning.

Partly sunny skies and a high around 80 for the forecast. My student design team is having a meeting with a team from another university later this morning and I'll be taking them all to lunch. Today is move-in day for the incoming first-year students so it will be a busy day on campus. This evening will be an ice cream social and I'll be helping to serve the ice cream and then, if the weather is good a fireworks display - one of the cool perks of being at a place that has an explosives department!

Mostly sunny, hot and humid. High of 95 - heat index near 110F. Heat advisory in effect from 1PM to 7 PM today. It's miserable outdoors!! But I finally mowed without succumbing to heat stroke! Today mowing, Pilates, walking in the treadmill and enjoying an air conditioned room .

Meanwhile, in Lake Lure it's raining with a high in the mid 70s. the plumbers are plumbing!! They should finish early next week.

A nice day today with a high around 80 and partly cloudy skies. Slight chance of rain this afternoon but it's looking less and less. Of course, yesterday was supposed to be a slight chance in the afternoon but it started raining early and just unloaded for a couple hours. Working on my syllabi for classes and also preparing some hands-on activities for eclipse day. We will be at 99.8% totality and will have campus activities for students and the community. I'm on the board for our local science center and we are planning to set up some activities for the event.

A bit more cloudy than the past few days here on the eastern side of the Delmarva, 66F / 19C, dew point at 63F, heading to the low 80's.

On tap for today: Tai Chi here at home (yoga class at the Y cancelled), walk with Teresa, breakfast, some catch up on work, even though it is a vacation day, then off to DW's work to help with a back to school event from 10:30AM to 2:00PM, then plan to get some bowling practice in after that. Tonight: probably Italian leftovers.

Dean, you've got me... they're a cherry/grape size, but yellow. Look almost like a miniature yellow Roma. Our little patch is all heirloom and the patch next door at a historic site was originated by the Master Gardeners who also used all heirloom varieties to exemplify the kitchen garden of the 1850's. My wife cares for that now as well and has those small yellow guys on both sides of the fence. They've been volunteering for maybe four years or so, which makes it pretty certain they're not a modern hybrid. I knows this for sure... they tastes mighty goood!

Got over a mile walk in and ran one of my grocery routes, hitting three stores and buying more at each than planned, as usual. It was a pleasant day around eighty, but now the humidity is spiking again, headed for eighty percent. Say good night, Gracie!

Another warm (94F) day today. It's our "back-to-school" night where all the faculty (full- and part-time) come to campus for dinner and discussion. Tonight's topic - preparing your syllabus properly. I have a lot of prep to do today to get ready for tonight's meeting. Another long one - about 13 hours today (14 yesterday).

We had a blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) bloom by our dock yesterday. I didn't get to see it, but saw a video. Creepy stuff. It looked like a monster could rise up from the depths. Thankfully it moved on. That was the first time since we bought the house that we had a bloom by us. Usually the wind keeps our shoreline pretty clear.

Have a great Thursday!

What variety of tomatoes are those, Dave? They look great!

69 with a dew point of 63. High of 83 today. Pretty good weather for August.

I need to hoe today. It has been too wet to hoe and, unless I get it done today, I may end up with weeds I need to pull which takes 10 times longer. We may get some more rain over the next two days.

Have a good Thursday.

On tap for today: Abs yoga here at home, walk with Teresa, breakfast, work, run, and more work. Tonight: Trip to Kohl's as they have LOTS of stuff on sale. We are specifically going for baby clothes -- DD#1 is due in January (will be my first grandchild!). The out to dinner...

77F and humid. expecting mostly sunny skies in the low 90s with a 50/50 change of a thunderstorm this afternoon.
Finished early morning walk. I'm hungrily waiting for the med-lab to open to leave blood samples for lab analysis. Doctor's apt later this morning for my annual physical. BTW I've requested a test for blood iron level to check for hemochromatosis. Thanks Steven (WRITEMANN1) for the heads-up. A little too wet to mow yesterday-maybe today.

A beautiful day with partly sunny skies and mid-70s but stuck inside all day for another pre-semester retreat. My calf is still a little tight so decided to wait until after the retreat to get in my workout. Got in 40 minutes on the treadmill.

Sunny and above eighty, but low humidity. Walk was pleasant and got a mile and a quarter in. The tomatoes, lettuce, squash, and peppers are rolling in the back door with a vengeance. Wifey has turned into a pretty good little gardener and these guys never stop till it freezes once they start.

Speaking of which, it's time for chow!

Today is our annual convocation meeting where all faculty and staff gather at the main campus (90 miles away) for the pep talk before the start of the fall semester on Monday. I'm meeting my boss at 6:30 so that we can be there mostly on time. It's another warm day with a high of 94F in the forecast here so I'm not going to wear a suit. Going with the bowtie though.

Have a great Wednesday!

The rains stopped yesterday. A cool 72F at 6AM and cloudy. However the day is going to heat up fast to the mid 90's with humidity at 97%. Finished an early morning walk, ready for 8am yoga class. May mow the lawn if it's dry enough and I can brave the heat and humidity.

Getting new, networked microscopes for the lab installed this morning and then a trip to StL for DW to meet a client so got in a early morning run. Weather was perfect with temps in the low 60s and sunny skies. Unfortunately, I ended up tweaking my calf muscle so it's hard to walk right now. Not sure if it was due to running a hillier route than I'm used to or just a cramp. I need to take care of it because I just signed up for a 5K next weekend!

Had to take it easy on the walk today, but still got a mile, just slower. Bad foot, bad hip... I know, take me out back and shoot me. DW joined me and I drove her crazy (er), as her legs are way longer than mine and she's faster than me even on a good day. She has returned from her family wedding/vacation/reunion and is still off work today, so I get a frittata for brunch. Yay!

While she was gone, I watched some old movies and "Mystic River" was one. Guess who directed? Clint Eastwood. Kind of surprised me. If he keeps going, he'll have more directing credits than acting credits before he's done (was 87 in May). Pretty good flick.

Afer yesterday's rain, it remains cooler and pleasant today at about seventy-five which is supposed to be the high for the day with humidity well under fifty percent. Cheers to all.

We had 1.03 inches of rain here on the western side of the Delmarva. The trench I dug filled with water before I could fill it back in, but we now have electricity to all of our buildings and will soon have water as well. High of 80'today with less humidity.

It is too wet to work outside so I am experimenting with making a batch of tomato jam this morning. We'll see how it turns out.

Have a good Tuesday.

A moderately productive work day yesterday, peppered with conversations from colleagues who wanted to know all about the trip.

Today's high is 94F once again. No rain in the forecast for probably a couple months or more. Ron and Patrick, if you could send some of that moisture out west, we'd appreciate it!

It's Tuesday, I think!

Cloudy and 70F / 21C, heading to the 80 degree mark. Slight chance of showers. Yesterday I had 2.85" of rain in the rain gauge, most of it coming in a 3 hour stretch! Dover AFB had over 3"!

On tap for today: Abs yoga here at home, walk with Teresa, breakfast, work, run and more work. Tonight: Our favorite Elvis impersonator is appearing at Dover Downs this evening. We'll do dinner at the casino before that. Fun night!

Have a terrific Tuesday gents!

Cloudy at the moment and 73F / 23C, heading up a few more degrees but heavy rain and maybe even a severe thunderstorm this afternoon / evening.

On tap for today: AM yoga at home, quick breakfast, currently getting goatee "degrayed", also working (thank goodness for laptops and wifi!), lunchtime run (probably a treadmill run at the Y), then more work. Tonight: Leftovers. Will be an early night. Did not sleep well. Not sure why. Went to bed early, early dinner. Legs didn't feel comfortable at all. Maybe yesterday's 10 mile run was more problematic than I thought.

Have a good work week gents!

Should be a nice day ahead with cloudy skies and temps in the mid-70s. Need to take DW to a Dr. appointment this morning and then a busy day in the office. Depending on how long her appointment goes I hope to have time to ride my bike to work. Two weeks until the new semester! I agreed to participate in several activities during orientation week so that time will fly by.

Finally back home and somewhat recovered from vacation. Woke up at 3:30 am and couldn't go back to sleep. I hope today I'll get readjusted back to Pacific time again.

Vacation was great - one of the best I've ever had. Made some new friends and that felt good too. Now to get back into work mode so I can focus on all the emails that I just marked as read to hide the indicator on my phone and tablet. It will be a warm day today with a high of 94F. I have two more days at work when I can wear short sleeves and then the dress shirts and ties have to come back out of summer storage.

Have a great Monday!

Cool morning - have not said that in quite awhile - in Tucson with current 5:00 am temp at 68, 58% humidity and very mild 3 mph winds. The forecast is for clear skies, low humidity and an afternoon high of 100 F. We should be back into the 80's by 8 pm. I have a golf game at my home course this morning from 7:20 am to about 11 am. Temps will just be getting into the 90's when we finish.

Humidity is back up a little, but the temp wasn't much above seventy five when I took my walk, so it wasn't bad.

DW is away and usually puts out the garbage and recycling. I didn't feel like there was enough, so I had to start cleaning and straightening. Big mistake. Several hours later and I'm still not done and had only intended to clean our spare bedroom/dressing room. Boy did I dig up some dirt and clutter. Even moved an old recliner to another room and now my old butt is dragging. I still haven't figured out what to do with about a hundred baseball caps I displaced. Tomorrow's another day. Hope everybody had a good weekend.

Some morning rain and temps in the 60s so slept in a bit and got some writing done before lunch. If the weather is not good, Sundays during the summer are tough for getting in some exercise since the fitness center is closed. Was fortunate to get in a nice long walk once the rain ended.

A cool and rainy day today. Officially, the high was 74 but it was in the 60s most of the day. About 2.5 inches of much needed rain already and more to come. Made it over to the fitness center to get in a good workout on the elliptical and some strength training and then spent the rest of the afternoon in the lab getting things ready for the new semester.

77 degrees and dew point is 59.

We are back from the Chestertown, Md., Farmers Market and the truck is unloaded.

I get up at daybreak on Saturdays to harvest lettuce and greens so they will be as fresh as possible for market so I may take a short nap as the Nats-Cubs game plays on the TV. Then it is back to digging the trench.

Have a great Saturday.

Nice shot Dennis! You have no sailors in your area to take warning. (... or was it sunset?)

We had some violent t-storms last night and I heard sirens run all evening, but it has cooled off considerably. Only sixty-seven and it's nearly noon. Humidity is under forty percent, so I think I'll get in what walk I can while it's still cool. Left foot is giving me trouble again after months of remission. Have a great Saturday!

Beautiful picture Dennis!

Here on the Delmarva, the humidity is dropping as a cold front has moved through. Sunny skies and 75F / 24C, dew point was in the 70's overnight but now is 64F. Heading to the low 80's.

On tap for today: breakfast and mowing. I usually do my long run on Saturdays but it's supposed to be even drier tomorrow so I will mow today. Tonight: Doing our last HelloFresh meal (steak fajitas).

Have a great Saturday gents!

Got up and took a half hour walk with DW, then kissed her goodbye. She's off to Michigan and I'm abandoned for three days. Plan to spend the time profitably engaged in an Xbox and old movie marathon (with intermissions for food and exercise). Have a good weekend gents!

Patrick, we've noticed that eastern Delaware seems to get more rain than we do here by the bay. Steve, hope you visited the Strasbourg cathedral. It is where John Calvin preached during his exile from Geneva. Also, a great mechanical clock there.

Dew point is 73. Temperature is 87. I am taking a break to hydrate. I've been shoveling a trench all morning. It is in an area that has a number of rocks larger than my head, so our trencher will not work. It has to be dug by hand with pick and shovel. I need to get it dug and water lines run before the electrician get here later this afternoon, so I have to keep pecking away at it.

TGIF.

Looks like a lovely day ahead with mostly sunny skies and a high around 80. Several morning meetings but I hope to get out to the golf course this afternoon. I haven't picked up my clubs in over a month! :-( This weekend is a tax holiday in MO and I finally convinced DW to get a new computer so we'll do some computer shopping as well.
