I did my strength before work today, knowing what a hectic schedule I have for today! Would love to go for my lunch hour walk but instead I am shopping for Christmas presents for my parents since we are celebrating Christmas on Thanksgiving this year since they are heading south for the winter! I hope I find some great gifts ... I'm running out of time!

I am feeling proud of myself, for turning down an invite to stuff my face on Saturday nite..at a Thanksgiving feast, and I do mean Feast. Its a potluck, and I went last year with BF and I think I'm still digesting the calories from all the fattening foods I ate!

I was so busy yesterday I didn't have a chance to take good care of myself, but today I am taking the afternoon off work to get my exercise, grocery shopping, and housecleaning in! My parents are coming tomorrow and I am taking them to see Deepak Chopra speak for my Mom's bithday.

I ate my broccoli at dinner! (and yesterday had green beans - Ummm, they were tasty!)

And I started back with my Ground flax seed meal, got to get into the habit of eating it Every day, like I used to. It tastes good, its not a chore, just a habit I need to re-establish.

I don't mind walking in the rain (as long as it's not too cold) but my hair doesn't like it very much and during the day I have to go back to work.

Keep away from those cougars! Unless, of course, he was hitting on you, maybe insinuating that you were the cougar, lol. In that case, stay away from the park rangers!

When I got back the Park Ranger asked if I had seen any wildlife then went on to specify Cougar. Yikes! He said they keep away from dogs tho.

I did make it to the park today and walked in the rain, in my skirt and riding boots, under an umbrella. It was actually very nice and not too cold, either, it's in the 50's here today.

I live in the Detroit metro area. There is a great park near where I work I go to several times a week. If you know where to look, wildlife is pretty easy to find, even in the big city.

I've been having some trouble fitting all my exercise in these past couple of days, working late with evening classes, etc. I hope to get to the park for lunch today and also to do some exercise after work, though I'm not sure if I'll really want to do my strength or not tonight, but I should, since I am spending the day tomorrow shopping with girlfriends.

I took care of me today by going for a walk in the woods on my lunch hour, even though I was so busy I could have skipped lunch and it's in the 30's here today! Still, it was beautiful and I was rewarded with a herd of deer on the trail. Going home soon to take another walk with my dog and to do my strength, too!

I did some physical therapy home exercises yesterday, and told myself, that I am going to heal this shoulder/muscle problem (positive attitude);

I went to Trader Joes yesterday, and treated myself to some foods I don't normally eat - like smoked salmon, and Goat cheese gouda - YUM!

I woke up and started reading (I'm in the middle) "Eat, Pray, Love"...what a glorious book!

I went to the Farmers' Market for the 2nd weekend in a row ... I can't believe how much local produce is still available in November this year!

I also let myself sleep in for the 2nd day in a row ... Pisces moon.

I went for a really good hike today and treated myself to Thai Food. Its delicious and a small portion so works perfectly for me right now - its actually the best curry I have ever had almost!

I took care of me this weekend by going to the Reiki workshop and learning Reiki I and II. It was so awesome!

I wasn't able to do my other usual weekend tasks like laundry and housecleaning and grocery shopping, not to mention I didn't have hardly any time to exercise, so there are lots of ways I need to take care of me today, to make up for it!

That sound like a great idea! And I was thinking the same thing about the attunement: it's all positive so it can't hurt, but am I really ready to be so open? That's the real question for me.

The Reiki energy is so positive though I am sure you will be fine, when I was attuned (twice) it felt like all my chakras were totally open and balanced at once, it was an amazing feeling.

There is someone in our tiny and not very progressive town who is a Reiki Master, I don't know her but I am thinking of emailing her to see if she wants to set up a Reiki Group or something. I went to one before in Dallas and it was wonderful.

Glad the flower essences are helping, it's time for me to make a new blend. I am thinking Vervain, Wild Oat, White Chestnut, and Crab Apple. Those seem to be what I need right now.

I have been doing homework this week in preparation for my Reiki class this weekend. I'm looking forward to the attunements, though I'm a little nervous, too, since my energy is already very sensitive lately.

I've also been walking at the park in the woods there this week, saw a deer a couple of days ago, will go again at lunch today.

I do have her book on the nodes, mine are south in Cancer/10th house and north in Capricorn/4th house which have never made much sense to me since Cancer = 4th house and Capricorn = 10th house, I don't know if I am coming or going! I'd like to get the Spiritual Astrology book and read it!

The eclipse book I am reading talks about pre-natal eclipses though I haven't read everything it has to say about them, yet, as well as current eclipses and what they may signify. I was so interested after the last set of eclipses fell on my moon and sun directly!

One thing I have discovered which is interesting: my prenatal eclipses were at 10 Leo (lunar I think) and 25 Cap (solar, respectively, but I could be backwards) which are the positions of my natal moon (9 Leo) and natal Jupiter (28 Cap). I am not yet sure what it all means, but it's interesting.

I'm feeling really weird these past few days. Not sure if it's Saturn square Saturn or what but I am hoping things get feeling normal again soon. Sun opposing Uranus today and no surprises yet but I was hoping for a pleasant surprise. There is still time, I suppose.

PS I seem to be thread hopping here! Anyhow her website is www.janspiller.com I have 2 of her books already - Spiritual Astrology is really good because it tells you your life lesson to learn and teach based on your pre-birth lunar and solar eclipses. Solar is what you teach and lunar what you learn. Mine are Cancer and Capricorn as well...just realized tho I am supposed to teach Cancer and learn Capricorn, kind of confusing, tho I do in a way do that. Its not the same as the nodes though. Its really all about that Cancer-Capricorn axis in my 6th and 12th houses tho and finding that balance.

Plus Saturn is in the 8th house, tho for a long time I thought it was in my 7th house. Lets hope my babybook is right...! I do see I lack water tho, hard to be analytical and not react.

The Jan Spiller book is good - its about using the new moon and also the nodes. I really felt a shift when I read (again) about my Cancer North Node (in 12th) because I really feel I should be working and serving all day, and not taking time for myself and my own emotional development. I realized from how she explained it the things I do for my personal growth and myself when I am not working are really what I SHOULD be doing!

I similarly lack in water but at least my chart ruler Mercury is in water, though he's not very comfortable there in Pisces. At least for you Saturn is the ruler of Aquarius so is a great placement for him!
