Step challenge sounds fun! We're actually posting our steps on the 6500 steps and 10k steps threads. If you're looking for a challenge we can involve others for a short term and with a certain number of steps. I could really use a challenge now that summer's gone. I do avg 10k steps. I can do more if I have to. With a push. Lol.

Hi - I'm happy to buddy. I am starting weightwatchers tomorrow and so will be tracking my walking (hope to walk every day) in minutes. I also just found the leaderboards (on the right of the page, under the heading Team Stats, click on team leaders, and click on fitness minutes) so I changed my settings so my minutes will show on there, and as it's early in the month still I am hopeful that I might come somewhere near the top by the end of the month and am very excited about it!

Hello everyone!! I have started, stopped and re-started on SP for more times then I want to count. I am back "FOR GOOD" today, and seems as though I need someone to hold me accountable, as I have always 'found an excuse" on why the day got away from me. Today is my first official day back and I am happy to report, I actually DIDF workout today. Not as much as I know I could of, but trust me it was a HUGE start for me. Really needing a buddy to kick me in the rear as needed.......

Tell me what you are interested in
and I will do the same
I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, spending time with my family and friends
Swimming, Gazelle and lunch time are my workouts
I try to do something every day
I enjoy "forcing" myself to go to the gym for my lunch hour
otherwise I find I don't leave my desk other than a bathroom break!
I keep crystal light in a 2 litre bottle in the fridge at work and one at home and come close to finishing both every day.
I gave up my sodas - I tried one this evening while we were out - yuk. it made my tummy sick
my weakness however is my morning coffee.... I could drink it all day long but am limiting myself to 1-2 cups per day. Its 3 tsp sugar per cup, but those are 10 oz cups as well.....
My hardest time, my weakness is, cutting carbs
I love breads and pasta....
I feel better when I workout
When I don't I feel sluggish
,,,,,

Where are you and what are you into.... as far as workout routine?
I think its easier to find that buddy when you are on the same track with interests.....

I am in Central Texas
I work full time
but I go to the gym for my lunch
its either weights, swimming, gazelle or treadmill for me
I am not a runner
Im not big into zumba - even though I do entertain the idea with my daughter who loves any sort of dance,lol

I am so in for this
I go to the gym a few times per week during my lunch hour
I do cardio - treadmill and bike at least three days
and I am starting to add weights two days
plus my swimming or gazelle at night after dinner
so

You motivate me and I will do my darnedest to help motivate you

PAMPA- you are always to fun to "taunt"! I love the IM's from you, they motivate me to get up off my behind and get those steps in :) THANK YOU. I welcome the friendly chat and motivation from everyone, it truly helps to keep me on track. It's always difficult to find an actual real buddy. I'm still learning along with every one of you. I had in mind a buddy as an online friend or friends who would be awesome to cheer and also to push each other with similar goals. Am I in the right track? As I don't have any info where you all are from.
I have buddies from different states and countries who push me that I want to go lace up and walk.
Since it's going to be a small group for starters, we'll have a 'friendly' competition among us buddies.
I want this gym to be fun and not be boring with a forever buddy you'll be stuck with. Unless you want to. Lol.

I just love you all for coming forward to participate because it makes my job a whole lot easier. I did say 'coming soon' because I'm trying to be creative so you won't lose interest.

And, no, I promise, Fitbit is not a requirement for both of our teams. But everyone I know who have purchased a Fitbit do show tremendous motivation with an eagerness to walk and exercise. I hope this team will be sufficient enough to help motivate though.
