Today I rode my 4-wheeler to visit a neighbor. On the way home the engine died. emoticon

I had 2 choices: Walk 2+ miles home, or walk 1/2 mile up their very steep driveway. 6 months ago I would have cried. emoticon .

Tonight I headed up the hill without a pause (too late in the evening to make it the 2+ miles home before dark).

Keep doing the "girly" pushups, and increase how many you do. At some point, try a regular push up and you may be surprised. Keep it up! Anything you do to make your body stronger is a GOOD thing.

Pretty proud of myself. I had an active day yesterday, and I did 4 sets of 15 pushups! The last 5 of the last set were a challenge, I may need to increase my sets to 20. This amazes me because it used to be a struggle to do 5 TOTAL pushups.

Every day this week I have been walking 4 plus miles to a Leslie dvd - yesterday I found her 3 mile walk on Youtube and added that with a 1 mile. I did Zumba today for the first time, ever! I found a beginner video on youtube - I shared it on my blog and I had a blast!!! It was only 16 minutes and I was sweating but laughing the whole time. Now, I'm lifting weights Having a great day!!

Broke my arm on 10/20 had surgery on 10/25 started walking again on 10/27. Have walked every day instead for 30 mins or more and doing lower body ST instead of using this as just another excuse. emoticon

Because I was totally NOT FEELING it today...BUT I know I don't like the way I feel when I skip it...which I have done for way too long again (fear of re - injury I guess) but I did it anyway & I managed to eat better drink all my water & feel much better than I have in days!!!

feels good to be taking walks again, 8 miles sat. 1.5 sun. 1.5 today, tuesday is laundry day 1.5 mile walk with 10 pounds of it on my back, wed 3.1 mile to walmart I look forward to it. emoticon

I took the stairs and the walking path up to transportation office instead of riding the shuttle bus...there are 8 sets of 5 steps to climb up hill then I don't know how far the actual flat stretch is but my heart was surely racing by the time I got to the door...rain clouds added an extra step to my pace trying to avoid getting a soak down prior to driving my afternoon route...

Sitting at my desk I find myself thinking of a milky way, I get the change from my purse, go down 5 flights of stairs to go to the vending room to buy one but instead I walk 2 times around the parking lot, move my car to a closer spot, climb 5 flights of stairs and head directly to my lunch bag and eat the APPLE I brought to day. I'm so proud of my self right now I feel like a ROCK STAR!!

I am a rockstar because I walked to the grocery store this morning instead of driving. The store is less that 1/2 a mile from my house. So instead of going straight to the store I took the long way down by the park, around the neighbor hood and then to the store for a total of 2.5 miles!

on Sunday i walked to wal-mart and back 6.5 mile and did not just crash in my recliner, feed cat and went to mom and dads place 1.5 miles, at 3:30 i went back over to their house for weekly dinner another 1.5 miles, total for day 9.5 ml whats so great is most times when i goi to wal-mart i get home and take a nap, and i did not this time so no more nap after a long walk a work out later in the is whats needed.

I am a rockstar because I ran 1 5K and then decided to sign up for another to keep myself motivated to keep on running and training for 5K's!
I have never been a runner in my life so this is something I never dreamed I could or would do!

I'M A ROCK STAR! (because of my daughter) i was moved to tears this evening... this morning, my daughter went on a nice long walk with me, she knows how much my fitness means to me. feels so nice, we are talking about so many different things, and still walking pretty fast... then the day went on and on, and i keep putting my work out off, later and later...i had written it off. finally, (9:00pm), my daughter said, "i am going in the other room, and YOU ARE GONNA WORK OUT!" after, i told her how much i appreciated it... thank the Lord for her!

I am a rockstar because I walked over 3 miles tonight with my 2 yr old grandson & he walked most of the way & I convinced my neighbor to join us even tho she wasn't feeling it. She went & was glad she did...They earned Rockstar status as well

I feel like a rockstar!!! I actually did shovel work (we're talking about a real regular size shovel..LOL). OMG! When I tried this in the spring before I started walking, I had to pass on the shovel work and just helped out with the gardening. I got a great workout. My arms are sore especially one that was pulling the weed. My hands are sore. And rest of the body is sore.
Happy sore, that is. emoticon

Because I may have broken my lil toe while cleaning up my grandson's toys last night. (Big hard toys hiding under all the couch cushions he had piled up) AND I got up & pressed play on my exercise videos anyway!!!

i walk 7 miles out and back yesterday and have done 2 miles today, does folding two loads of cloths count.

I did a 2 mile walk even though it is 102 degrees out. I said this morning that I was going to walk after dinner and I kept my word emoticon

Since joining this group/team, any exercise that you've done or accomplished which made you proud. It doesn't have to be strenuous or regular routine. Anything that you were very impressed. Shout it out!! Be proud!! (I'll start...)

I feel like a rockstar because yesterday I went to the gym for the first time since almost a month ago. Hubby's been asking me to go but it's always next time. Maybe I was spending too much time outside because of enjoying summer but that shouldn't have been an excuse.
