I have been away for a few months, my husband has liver cancer and things have been very rough.. my son also got an undiagnosed kidney infection, which led to septocaemia (blood poisoning) and he nearly died on us.. 2 weeks in hospital.. but like any teenager he has bounced back and is full of energy..and lost 10 kilos!!!! 10% of his body weight.. I wish !! *laughs*
Now it is my time again, I have managed to gain a further 12 kilos in the few months away and now tip the scales at 120kg.. I feel really awful, fat and ugly.. but today I did manage some cross-trainer time and some squats, and after dinner I will be taking a long long walk with the 3 dogs..
I am back, I WANT and NEED to lose weight my Dr is not happy with me!.. blood pressure is high, cholesterol is raised but not too badly.. Time for me again..
I am doing really well (although it's hard to even say that because of all the times I've thought I was doing really well and then wasn't). At least for now my goals are not very lofty, just to get to the gym most days of the week and stay near my calorie limit most days, which I've been able to do pretty consistently without feeling like I'm starving or making any really radical changes. I luckily have reached the point where it doesn't feel like a race, like, "I gotta lose 100 pounds before swimsuit season/New Year's/my birthday etc."
I have been losing weight slowly but surely and I have a long way to go but I feel a lot better physically, I'm generally in a better mood, happier, etc. So... Keep on truckin.
