Me & my co-worker have been walking on out 2 15mins breaks for about a month now. I love it cause it help clear my head & stretch my legs. But it also helps me get in 30 mins of exercise Monday - Friday!! When you're tracking minutes for the month... 30 mins a day through the work week really adds up.

The lunch time walks are a hit! I'm enjoying them alot especially since it gives me a chance to clear my head and come back in with a fresh, new perspective.
The morning workouts are really good especially since I get my workout out of the way; the sleeping part was the hardest adjustment since I like to stay up late. Once I got the hang of it, got my clothes together the night before and got to bed at a reasonable hour, it's been a great addition to my routine.

You should definitely give it a go. I workout in the mornings, simply because with a family I don't have time in the evenings and I'm usually too tired. You'll actually be surprised at how energised working out in the mornings makes you feel for the rest of the day. Good Luck.

Definitely give it a shot! I used to have the exact same problem and would make plans to hit the gym on my way home from the office, but inevitably felt too exhausted by the time I left work to follow through, and all that motivation I had earlier in the day fizzled out to nothing. Plus, it was a pain in the butt trying to schedule or plan dinner around an evening workout.
I finally reached a point where I was tired of feeling disappointed in myself for flaking out constantly and decided to attempt a morning routine. Never in a million years did I think it would last (believe me when I say that I've never been a morning person in my entire life)... but I promise you, it is sooo much easier once you get into the habit! I was also worried about whether I would be able to make it through a full work day if I woke up at 5:30, but I've found that I actually feel MORE energized. I think it's an incredible way to start the day, and frankly it's a relief to head off to work knowing that I've already gotten in some great exercise, and that I'll be able to enjoy any moments of downtime I may have without stressing about finding time for the gym later that night or feeling guilty if I don't go.
My one caveat, and I think this is hugely important, is that a morning workout should not mean that you sacrifice your sleep! If I'm going to wake up at 5am to hit the gym, then I'm in bed by 9:30, asleep by 10. This has actually been the hardest adjustment for me to make because I have a bad habit of staying up late (no matter how tired I am, like a cranky baby refusing to nap). There have been times that, for one reason or another, I wasn't able to get in bed until midnight, and on those nights I do NOT get up early the next morning to workout. I made the mistake of forcing myself out of bed after 4.5 hours sleep to go do a cycle class one time, and will never do that again. I was tired, unfocused, my work suffered, and I barely survived the day without crashing face first into my computer. So while I have become a big fan of morning workouts, it is only in conjunction with a good night's sleep. Learned that lesson the hard way. :)

I've been working out on my lunch break. I find it helps to chop up the day, and it keeps my energy level up all day. If that sounds good to you, see if you can go in early or stay late at work in order to take a longer lunch break! A lot of workplaces like to encourage their employees to exercise, so that might work for you.

I prefer to work out after work to get rid of stress. Otherwise I can't sleep well and will stay up late watching tv.

I too have this problem with being worn out after work and not getting my work out in, so the morning exercise might be the answer for me as well. I would have to be up and ready to work out by 5:30 a.m. and I would really have to make a commitment. But you all have inspired me.

I typically work out 3-4 days a week before work and then a couple times a week after work. Right now with the heat in NC, my evening workouts are shorter runs (2ish miles) and my morning workouts are either longer runs or cycle classes. I love having my workout done for the day before work, but I will say it takes me a while to mentally get into work mode when I've worked out in the morning.

Not my favorite time of day. I generally exercise after work.

I like working out in the mornings. I feel energized for the day. Workout, shower, and eat breakfast. Great way to start my day. I am in the office @ 6:30 am.

How do you feel about working out early in the morning? I'm going to try working out around 5:30 am, but I'm afraid about how I'm going to feel going into work at 7:30 am after that.
After work, I'm usually drained and that has been my issue with getting into the gym after work; I'm equally afraid that I won't be able to function effectively after sweating it out that early...what do you think?
