Hi Everyone,

For Phase One: I love the french toast breakfast! I use egg whites and the bread is rice and other grains gluten free bread with cinnamon sprinkled on top. I get a half cup of mixed berries and add some stevia and water and cook it down a little.

Phase Three: I do the same thing with one whole egg cinnamon and no fruit.

The French Toast is my favorite! If I never saw oatmeal again it wouldn't bother me! emoticon

Eriden -

I felt the same during the first week. I started to feel better once I started Phase 3. I beleive my headaches were a result of the lack of caffiene. It got so bad that on the 2nd day, I had to take aspring with caffiene and felt better. Then, on day 4, I have 1/2 cup of decaf. It is a week later and I have not had a headache since.

Hopefully, the headaches will subside soon.

Phase 2 - The protein is very satiating, and that is your snack also, so hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. emoticon emoticon

I am a fruit whore, so it was a bit different w/o it. But I had done low carb before, where I was afraid to even look at an apple, and I managed. I just knew I had a goal in mind, and same here. I kept re-reading all the good things happening in each phase when there was something off-phase that I thought I wanted.

For the lemon, I wash and freeze my lemons whole. Then I have a little hand grater, and I grate the lemon into my water. I like to also add a little sea salt sometimes. The salt does a couple of things for me. Like if I "think" I am hungry, I might try a little lemon salt water first. That usually does the trick for awhile. Also, it is like a pick me up of energy also, so if I start to feel tired, I drink some. emoticon

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it!
I will increase the veggies and see if that helps.
Going to be at work tomorrow for phase 2 and I am hoping I will be ok without the fruit! I'm just not a fan of the headaches and dizzy feeling. My fingers are crossed that it goes away by tomorrow.

Ok, on your intro, I see 20lbs is your goal. So just one serving. Make sure you fill in the voids will all the veggies your little heart desires.

If you are still eating things like wheats and sugars, your body is probably just relishing in all the good wholesome foods, and is like, what the heck is this stuff, I want more??!!!

It is my understanding (I think most of this I got from Perfect Health book) - on a junk food diet, or less than optimal nutrition even if not totally junk food, the body craves nourishment, and your brain will keep sending you back for more food until the body has been nourished. Real food nourishes and satisfies.

So then at some point, you will have the nourishment you need, and the vitamins your body has been needing and craving and asking you for, and things will level out.

That is my understanding, but I dont know that I have seen that addressed in Haylie's book, though I read it pretty fast the first time, and now I am going back trying to absorb more.

Hi there

We are all learning together, and I am not an expert... yet... ha... but I would think that you should never be hungry because vegetables are unlimited. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Now that being said, are you eating the right serving size for the amount of weight you want to lose? For 20lbs, you eat the one serving. For each additional 20lbs, you get 1/2 serving more... of everything. emoticon

Hi, I'm on day two and I feel horrible! I was so nauseus all morning, it reminded me of when I was pregnant. Now I've got a really bad headache. I've been hungry the whole time too, is it just because I am used to eating much more?
I'm looking forward to phase 3!

This is probably the most difficult for me. The timing of breakfast.

Partly because of DH's work schedule. Sometimes he gets up at 3 or 4. I try to get up with him. Do I eat? Well yes if I stay up, but maybe I want to lay back down?

Or I can't sleep and so I get up. But I don't know if I will stay up, or if I will try to lay back down. So do I eat, or do I wait?

This morning I was hungry. I got up at 2 and it was 5 before I knew it, so I was going to eat, but then went back to bed instead. Got back up at 7.

It is still usually about an hour before I get around to eating, which isn't bad. But sometimes it is hours and hours. So this is an area I need to work on.
