Starpixie, are you working with your doctor since you started dieting? Sometimes it can affect medications. I would definately talk to your doctor. What tends to motivate you typically? Like maybe turning on some music, or taking a walk, or calling a friend? Just some ideas!

Sorry that you're feeling down Starpixie. How about revisiting your early blogs? Look back at your original goals and what motivated you to get started in the first place. What do you want to achieve and how far have you already come? Maybe that will help to give you a wee boost.

Sometimes, we just need some time out to relax and take the pressure off. If that's what you need, then take it. You will feel the better of it and come back the better of it, fighting fit to get on to the next stage.

Just one step at a time - that's all it takes. If you can't face a workout, just do 5 mins gentle stretches. Be kind to yourself. Hope you feel better soon.

Eating out... My suggestion if you know where you're going ahead of time look at the menu online (if they have one) Carefully read everything and if they have nutrition information even better. Make your decision before you get there so you avoid being rushed into making a bad one. Salad, broth based veggie filled soups, chicken & fish are usually the best options but even those can have hidden things in them adding extra calories/fat/carbs so just do your research before you go out!!!!

Marcie, if you have a 20 month old and a 4 year old you are for sure going to "get tired!" LOL Good for you for seeing the difference in "getting tired" and "being tired" and doing something about it! I am starting juicing and whole foods to heal myself as well so I'll be there cheering you on:) I LOVE to swim so I am more than happy to get back into that again. Getting in the water energizes me. And to me, 55 lbs doesn't sound so bad since I need to lose 3 times that. But I can't tell you how I wish I had taken control of my eating and my health when I had little ones and only 50 or 60 lbs to lose. Hang in there!!

You can do it! Swimming it great. I just got out of the pool myself. I have about 55 lbs to lose. It seems like an unbelievable number but I am not giving up on it. I also want to heal my body from the inside out. I went to the doctors because I was so tired. I have a 4 yr old and 20 mth old. They said blood work was good so it had to be depression. I started making myself fruit and vegetable juices at home and I feel so much better. I get tired sometimes but it is a different, I have done a lot, tired. Good luck and don't give up, swimming is great! Marcie

I have been stuck to the couch with my arthritis and fibromyalgia for almost 22 years. Now the Doctors say I have to exercise for my heart. I suffer from depression so I have a very hard time being motivated, but I am doing my best. Dancing to the radio and taking my dog Shadow for walks is where I am starting off. Hi team, well my weekend wasn't the best as we were out and about ALOT and ate out most of the time. Didn't get in the exercise that I wanted however I did manage to think about all my food choices and I definitely made better food choices than I would normally do

I love the idea of weekly challenge too :-)

Hello everyone, I just wanted to check in with my "class" and say hi and wish everyone the best on their journey. I have a long way to go and a lot of health issues to deal with but the big kickstart for me was finding out my 17 year old already has high blood pressure. So when I make changes through all the things I learn here it isn't just me changing and benefiting, it is my whole family. I can't help them if I can't first help myself. I'll be taking a whole foods, plant-based approach and swimming is the only "exercise" I am permitted which is FINE with me since I'm part fish:) emoticon

And whoever it was who referred to us as "sparklers"... I love it emoticon

Morning, this is day 1 for me today. I am worrying about what I am eating tonight. Saturday evening is a day when we usually let the kids stay up late and watch a movie and eat pizza or burgers so I am trying to think of what we are going to eat tonight that will be better for me. Sometimes we make homemade pizza but we did that last week so hubbie probably wont want to do that this week.

If any one has any suggestions I would love to hear them

Hi everyone, just thought I would share a small victory. We were out to dinner tonight and I was so tired I couldn't think straight to make a good decision, So I ordered something I liked. Then I realized just how many calories it was.So I decided that I would only eat half - which is the small victory. I may not have ordered the best choice but I changed it to a good choice.

Almost lunch time where I am... My co-worker who is pregnant wants to get a yummy (not so healthy) sandwich from our favorite little itallian place down the road. I have healthy sandwich makings here so I'm going to pass on joining her. A small victory in a long line of them :)

Hi team ,
lve had a pretty good day lve eaten healthy, l had a trip to the Chiropractor and lm starting to add exercise into my daily routine tomorrrow morning as l said the other day slowly , slowly but it will happen and lm a bit excited , where ever you are in the world l hope your having a great day or have had a good one as l have , takecare and enjoy the rest of it .

Hi team , l hope your all travelling well and having a great day , my day is just starting its just after 5 am lve got my youngest son off to work and lm having a bit of a kick back before my day really starts , over the last couple of days lve made a number of healthy changes to my
diet and lm travelling pretty well and for exercise well , slowly , slowly as l pull up pretty sore
if l start up to quick but over time diet and exercise will come together and lll be cruising , hey
