I made the stupid mistake of weighing myself today - my plan is to weigh once a week on Sun morning. But I only lost 1 pound last week and I was sure I would have lost more.
Well I was feeling so much better - that's good - so I said I bet I'm down another pound - magical thinking. And so I got on the scale and voila - "It" said I'd gained a pound.
I know better than to go by a weigh in at any one point in time - and I laughed at the irony. It's like the scale was trying to tell me I'm silly (more magical thinking).
I'm doing what I tell others not to do - focus on the numbers instead of the lifestyle changes. I'm eating well, exercising - heck I've done 2 workouts that brought on a sweat - I'm doing great. Now's NOT the time to fall back on magical thinking.
