Congratulations to all who lost weight and didn't gain over the Easter Holiday or vacations. I am not that lucky. I feel like with so much sneaking ( food) that is, It will show on the scales Friday. I have to buckle down and stop this.

I went to the grocery store for just a few things. Ha ha... I always say that, and end up spending more than I wanted too. I pulled some weeds in the front yard that came from my neighbors yard. I use weed control in the fall, but when you have neighbors and the husbands don't mow, well... You get their weeds also.

I didn't do much cleaning today since I'm still trying to be careful for my backs sake, but I did get the commodes cleaned. I hopefully can dust and do the rest of the bathrooms and then the floors another day.

It was a beautiful day today. The sun was out the birds were chirping, and the Lilacs I have in the front yard filled the computer room with fragrance. Oh! how I love Lilacs. I had to turn the AC on last night so I could go back to sleep being my house was 77 degrees. It was too warm for me and I was starting to feel sickish.

I am anxious to start planting my few veggies and flowers. I still have to get the flowers.

I hope everyone has a nice relaxing night.

I feel pretty good today. Usually when I have a day off babysitting I don't do much but relax and enjoy it. Today I actually cleaned our bathroom, medicine cabinets and vanity area. Sorted through stuff, tossed out a lot. Gotta start somewhere, right? Still need to wash down the walls, but all the "stuff" is gone through. Now if I can keep it going!!

Sun came out this afternoon. It really was pretty chilly today!

Trudy, yaaaaaay on the weight while on vacation. That's AWESOME! I've managed to maintain through all the parties and Easter. Worry a little about our trip to TN next month - a little harder to stay on course there. Excited to meet our newest GGS though.

It's grey and chilly here today. Seems we get a day or two of really nice weather and then the rug's pulled out from under us again. :-(

Merri - the "sticker shock" of that repair was rough and making the decision to go ahead was, too, but now that we've made the decision - it's all good. I just hope it doesn't backfire on us. Andy's son is a really good mechanic, but the transmission isn't something he could do.

Sue, sorry about the tummy issue yesterday - it might have been just nerves. Hopefully your nephew will "get it" after the talk today.

Phyllis, we got a chance to visit CA a couple years ago - in fact I met Steph while there - a real highlight. It is a beautiful area. Hope the shopping goes well. Not sure I'd like the bus idea, but guess it's a convenience if you don't drive. I don't drive too much anymore, my DH insists on driving me most of the time Said it helps him get out of the house, too. LOL

Joyce, I am so with you about these darn vans. Like I had already said on here yesterday, we have to make that decision too last year. Our van is only a 1999, but it looks great yet and the inside is like new.

Ken can still fix most things. His COPD does get tired a lot easier now tho. He was a certified mechanic all of our married life. He just has to get the energy to do things. The good thing is there is no hurry anymore to get these things done either.

I think today I will give him a gently push to get the fertilizer down. He don't have a very big yard, it is just getting him out there and moving. It has been one long winter for him and I think it really zapped him good....

He is out looking at his fish in his pond tho. What a winter and they are all swimming around out there. Ken did make his new pond filter yesterday. He takes an old bucket (from cat food) and than makes holes in the side for the drain and than fills it full of scrubbies, those metal little scrubbies for the sink and it keeps the filter clean inside....

Good Morning Everyone,

Steph- I see you're from Ventura CA. I used to live there years ago, back in the 60's 70's. My son went through there one year, said it has really grown. Lot of new places to see, even had a hard time finding the house we used to live in. My parents (RIP) lived in Santa Barbara. That is a beautiful place to retire to, but cost a lot to live there also. I would have loved to been able to retire in Santa Barbara.

I hope everyone's day goes well for them today. I'm going to try and make it to the store, hoping I don't have any troubles with my back. I won't stay long, just get a few things then come home. I just wish I didn't have use the bus sometimes. It's nice, it's those community buses that come directly to your front door.. it's just the waiting time. It seems waiting for them to pick you up takes the longest. I'll be back later to chat more.

Thanks you guys! I will take your advise and try one more time, to get him here at my usual time to leave for work. I will let him know that I was very upset yesterday until I realized he probably thought he was only 5 minutes late, while I thought he was 20 minutes late. When he realizes that I was upset, and we can be clear about what time we are leaving, I think he will try harder to be here on time. we'll see...I hoping for the best!

I was sick to my stomach all day yesterday, and even came home from work early. I am feeling better today, thank God! I thought I was going to vomit all day, and maybe it was just from being upset. I don't know.

Todays another day, and I feel so much better especially after all the responses I got from all of you! it really helps to hear other people's opinion, and know I'm not the only one that feels this way:)
Tonight is Survivor! Can't wait! It's getting really good!

Good morning everyone,
Welcome Phyllis. Sorry your neighbors are being so weird. Strange.
I'm with all of you. If someone is giving you a ride, especially every day, just be on time. Gosh, it isn't rocket science.....be appreciative of the help. My dad always was on time. One time he was picking my daughter up and she looked at the clock and said, Grandpa will be here in 1 minute....and he was....so even kids recognize the importance sometimes.
I'm going to stay home this morning and get my house dusted, laundry done, vacuuming done.
Pay bills....that type of stuff. Then Friday if the weather cooperates, I can work in the yard.
I did end up going to water aerobics yesterday....I can really feel it this morning...LOL!! I walked so much I didn't think I'd feel it so much....live and learn I guess.
One moral victory....I was gone for 10 days and didn't gain a pound....stayed the same. emoticon
Everyone have a great day.

Peggy, you must miss those Bagel King mornings when you go north!

Sue, if you think he misunderstood then just lay it all out very clearly for him tomorrow and tell him in no uncertain terms that you will NOT wait 25 minutes for him any more! Tell him no later than five minutes ahead of time (and then you can give him another five after if you want). And if he's not there - leave him. It won't take him long to figure out you're not kidding!

Aiyden's gone to his Grandma's tonight so we're watching the baseball game and relaxing.

Hope everyone has a good evening!!

Phyllis, first of all, emoticon to the team! Sorry to hear about your fall, hope you are better soon;)
Joyce, i think that is smart of your husband, cause you do know exactly what's gone into it, and how it's been taken care of.
I have not felt good all day. My nephew was 20 minutes late! I have been thinking that because of that earlier post that maybe he thinks he is only 5 minutes late too. I asked him about a week ago to come over 15 minutes early so if he wants to stop at Mc D's, we won't be late. I meant from that day on. Maybe he thought I only meant that one day because I wait 15 to 29 minutes for him everyday. Maybe I should have been more specific and let him know I meant EVERY day! I was so upset at him this morning and have been in a bad mood all day, but I have not felt good today either, then the more I thought about it, the more I realized he must have thought I only meant that one day.lol
Instead of getting aggravated, I guess I should talk to him again:)

Phyllis - I see you found your way here before I even suggested it! Good for you!

Sorry to hear about your fall, that could have been even more serious than it was! Not that it wasn't bad enough. How ridiculous for your neighbors to behave that way! You're right, just can't understand people sometimes!

Steph, thanks - it'll be OK. I told Andy for that amount we could buy another used van but he said at least with ours we KNOW what's been put into it and better than taking a chance on putting that money into another one that might need even more repairs. So, guess we take our chance that nothing else will go wrong with ours in the near future. LOL

Good Morning everyone,

This is my first post for this discussion, and I'd like very much to give a friendly ((((Hug)))) who needs it today if You permit me to do so emoticon.

I don't understand some people. I go all out to help them, by watching their Mom ( my dear friend). The daughter asked me a day in advance if I could watch their Mom while they went someplace that next evening. It was a big function involving their children. I said " Yes". Well, what happened as I was walking around the block that morning with a friend getting exercise, my foot stumbled over a rock and down I went on the concrete hurting my back, right arm and right ankle, mainly my tail bone. I could hardly stand, walk, sit. So I called and told my friend I may not be able to come over that evening. I said IF they couldn't find anyone else then I would try but have to bring a heating pad. I ended up flat on my back in bed with the heating pad on. My Friend said not to worry , they would find someone else. I felt bad, but I couldn't do anything about it, AND did not plan on falling.

The husband went and got me some aspirin so I could take it between the times I took the Naproxen. I thanked him and gave him the change for his service to help me. They were able to find someone else, but now when the neighbors see me they ignore me and don't even say " How are you doing? Is there anything I an do for you?" Even though when they first moved in they said they'd to anything for me, just ask. Well.. I think things have changed and they're not talking to me. Hmmm just don't understand people.

Wow Peggy - that took nerve to be upset with you! Ridiculous!

Well, NO good news on the van. Rebuilt transmission would be over $3,400 plus it needs an alternator as well. Froze up from sitting so long. And that didn't include labor. We told the guy no, it's more than the van is worth. He said he'd call around and see if he could find a good used one. Found one and said they could put that in, the new alternator and labor for $2800. Told him we had to think about it. Decided to go ahead and do it. Hate to spend that much money, but we put over $1,000 in the a/c pump and tuneup last year. It has a new water pump, brakes, etc. Never get that much back and only option we'd have if we didn't fix it is to scrap it for two or three hundred. Oh well, it's only money! Whew!

That takes a lot of nerve! I know if someone is giving me a ride, I try to be early so they don't have to wait at all. It is rude to make someone wait who is doing you a favor!

Thank you! I'm so glad I have a place to say what I really feel, and not worry about someone getting mad at me! this team is a blessing:)
My DD and I walked 2.5 miles, woohoo! Well, I walked from my house to her street corner and she met me there, so I walked about a mile farther than her, but I think it makes her want to walk more when I walk further.
We are talking about walking Thursday too. I hope we do!
Thanks again, guys, I may just do that! Afterall, he does have a car and can drive to work, it's just risky without a license, but maybe he would find a way to get his license sooner too:)

Good morning,
Absolutely beautiful sunshine here this morning. I'm going to our small Amish community about an hour south with one of my nieces this morning. The fabric store is having their annual sale. Then we'll go to the grocery store there and to lunch. I may be home in time for water aerobics. That would be nice. Haven't been in 2 weeks.... emoticon
Sue, I agree with Joyce, Try leaving your nephew a couple of mornings and maybe he'll get the point. I'm with you. I hate being late to arrive anyplace....especially work.
Everyone have a great day!!

Good Morning!

Rainy day here, not sure if we're supposed to get thunder. A good thunderstorm helps to settle the ground. You can just see the leaves starting to pop on the trees.

We have one cardinal that is such a neat guy - he is forever flying on our vehicles to look at himself in the rear view mirrors! He sits there looking at himself and chirping away. Goes from one mirror to another. Only problem is the mess he leaves behind. LOL

Sue, maybe if you just left without him one morning he'd get the idea!

I have Aiyden 11-4 today and then I think Andrea has a mani/pedi at the salon at 6. Not bad when it's not the 7 AM shift.

Think I'm going to take your advice Peggy and try to spend a good fifteen minutes clearing out something today. Not sure what yet - but something!

Have a great day everyone!

I was done at work last night at 5 o'clock, but...I give my nephew a ride because he lost his license due to a DUI a few months ago, and he did not get done until about 6:20. So I sat there for over an hour waiting. Every morning he is late getting here. I asked him to get here 15 minutes earlier because I hate being late for anything, He's still late almost everyday! I wait on him in the morning, then again at night! He can get his license back as of yesterday, but now he doesn't have the money too. Even if he had his license, we would probably still ride together because it's so far to work and back and we will save a lot of gas.
Well, that's my gripe for the day! Glad to get that off my chest.lol
Today, I am up early and my DD wants to walk this morning. I hope she gets up in time! we haven't walked in about 3 weeks. I walked alone last Saturday, but it's just not the same. We always have a good time walking together. We'll see:)

Sorry, about the complaining this morning, but I'm getting tired of always doing what the kids want, when they want, and then when I want to do something, they never want to do it. Oh, they say they do at first, but when it comes time to do it, they change their mind. I rarely ask anything of them, so it does hurt my feelings when they won't do one thing once in awhile.

I read the posts and happy for everyone, Trudy, I'm glad you and Annie had a good time, and you enjoyed your vacation! Joyce, sometimes an old car (or van) is like an old friend, and like you said, you can't fit everyone in the car, so it will probably be worth fixing:)

Hope everyone has a good day! It is Terrific Tuesday afterall! :)

We have the sun out again today..Wow, we are on a roll here! It is only 40 right now, but we will take it. My DH put the filter back into the fish pond. It does look like all nine of the goldfish made it and through the coldest darn winter ever that I can remember.....

We took out our picnic table too. I think today our five ft statue of St Francis will go out too....A little at a time......Maybe even fertilize the grass today too as it is suppose to rain on Thurs.

Joyce, That is exactly how we felt about our van last summer too. We surely couldn't sell it with the front frame broke from rust. So, I as I always say "We had a family " if we should stick more money into the van or not.....It was just Ken & I who decided LOL....The van is still in good shape yet...

Peggy, Andy and I did go to TN one time by ourselves last summer and plan to do it again this year one time. But you're right - most of the time we do have others with us, but we enjoy that, too.

Hope that mountain picture turns out!! Sounds lovely!

Glad you had such a fun vacation Trudy! And sounds like you'll still be keeping busy now that you're home.

We finally had our van towed to a garage today to check out the transmission. Can't just let it sit. We had a new brake system, new a/c pump put in last summer, then the transmission messed up in October and it's been parked since. One of our friends said her brother would be able to fix it cheap. Andy went to see him and he was supposed to come look at it but never did. Finally researched a place nearby that does transmission work and will take the Car Care One card we got from Midas if it's too costly. That card is so convenient for car repair because it's six months with no interest. I just divide the cost by 6 and pay that each month. Hoping it MIGHT be just a rebuild and not needing a new transmission! But we can't even sell it the way it is.

When Brenda and her DH were going to go to TN with us next month she wanted to rent a van to go because her van is not too reliable anymore. It would have cost over $300 to rent one for a 4 day weekend! So we figured we better fix this one. Our other GD Jade wants to go to TN sometime over the summer to see her sisters and if Andrea goes too, can't fit two car seats and 2 adults in our car's back seat. LOL

Had a long weekend, worked thur-sun nights 12 shifts, got home this morning exhausted, but happy to have a couple of nights off. Slept about 5 hours and ready to go for a few hours. Kind of a cloudy dismal day but the most beautiful site this morning was Mt Katahdin with the sun shining on the top and reflecting off the snow, it was so bright, and the only place that had sun. I hurried to get to the barn so I could snap a couple of pictures, hopefully they captured the beauty of the day. Time to shake off the sleep and go out and check on the sheep!

Hi All,
Well, I'm back from a fantastic vacation. I caught up with old friends, made new friends and saw some of the most beautiful country ever. As you all know, Annie and I had such a nice time at lunch when we could meet up. Gosh she's a neat lady. Every bit as great as I thought she would be.... emoticon emoticon
We had just a great time and today I've been just getting back into "every day" life.
I had some car work done while I was gone and now the car runs like new. I'm ready for the road!! LOL!!
Bitchin' Bingo Wed. night again and a salad luncheon on Thursday. Then I'm going with three other retired women to the Working Women's Expo after the luncheon!! So back and hitting the ground running!!
I hope you're all good. From the skimming I've done it looks like things are perking right along. That's good.
Good to be home.

Hi Everyone - had a good weekend!!!

Service Friday was good!! Singing was fun!!
Saturday went with a friend to a "cancer shaving event"..over 26 people were shaved..they raised over 25 thousand dollars towards cancer research. And my friend visiting from out of town was shaved too. She did it 3 years ago and said she would do it one more time and send her hair to "locks of love". It was a neat day.

Easter was good...had BBQ Chicken..mom came over and a bunch of friends..just sorta relaxed.

Joyce I know just what you mean about staying home from the flea market to save money. I don't need any more things so I don't like to go to those places. No more room to put things and I'm trying to pare down.
Jerry and I worked for over two hours in the yard this morning. It was fun without all of the extra weeding.

Good Morning!!

Sounds like everyone got a chance to relax over the weekend - that's awesome.

Sue, glad you went ahead with the egg hunt and everyone enjoyed it!! Sometimes they need to just "do it" and remember how much fun they are!

Merri, sounds like everything will be fine with the tuxes. I still think it's such a special thing for your DS to do! Glad you had a good day!

It's another gorgeous day here, supposed to be upper 70's. Then we cool down the rest of the week to 50-60's. Grass is really getting green an can see leaf buds on the trees. The lilac buds are showing. Now we cross our fingers we don't get a hard freeze before they get a chance to bloom.

My daughters. Andrea and Aiyden are off to a flea market this morning. They asked me to go but I opted to just stay home and relax today. Keeps me from spending money. LOL

Have an awesome day everyone!!

Good morning everyone!
Merri, it sounds like everything may just work out after all! I guess you'll have to wait and see how your DGD reacts to the two tuxes still though.

Joyce, I'm glad you had a relaxing and fun day. It's funny you named all the people that were there and said just a small crowd, lol. It sounded like a large crowd to me!

I went to my DD's and she made a nice dinner, and I hid 18 Easter eggs in her backyard. They all said it was silly and they weren't going to hunt for them. But then they did and had fun too! I hid them really well, so that made it more interesting:) My DD's MIL is in her 70's and she was excited to look for them, and that kind of got the rest of them looking too!

The church put on a play called the "The Little Tree" and it was really good!
It turned out to be a pretty good day!

Good morning. I have nothing but good news to share with all of you this morning.

Our Easter lunch went great. No mention of the tuxes until our DD was in the kitchen helping my DH to his no no pies LOL...She than asked me in a whisper if her brother was still planning on wearing a tux.

I said in a very excited whisper "Oh wow, you should hear what your brother had to go through and the risk he took going with two armoured guards to look so cool for his nieces wedding." I told her how these tuxes were going to be the best of the best being made all by hand,

She got so excited and now I know it is our DGD where the problems might arise...So, I think the DGD doesn't know about her uncle wearing a tux...What a big surprise this will be LOL

To our surprise tho our DGD is having this one man plays the organ so loud in our church be the one singing for her wedding...He does have one beautiful voice tho...

An email from our DS just came in...The tuxes are already made and all done in one week..WOW He had both a white vest and black vest made for them...Only $10 more for the extra one..

Good evening everyone!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter! The weather here was absolutely perfect! Turned out to be pretty relaxing. I'd done most everything yesterday, so didn't have any rushing today. SIL grilled chicken outside and we actually spent a good part of the day out on the deck enjoying the sunshine.

My one granddaughter and her boyfriend went to the Indians' game instead of coming here. At least they saw a good game and a win!

Austin was so sick, poor kid. He was up all night being sick and had a fever. He didn't eat anything at all, just drinking gatorade. I sure hope it wasn't flu and he brought the germs here! He slept on the couch most of the time.

Had a mini Easter egg hunt for Aiyden. He got the hang of it, picking up the eggs and tossing them in the bucket.

It was nice having Andy's son join us and we got to meet his new girlfriend. She seems really nice and makes an awesome apple pie. Yep, I did have a small piece. Both my daughters were here, one SIL, other daughter's boyfriend, five grandkids, and Aiyden. Jimmy came for dinner, too, and of course my foster son who lives here. So not a big crowd and with the weather being so nice, it really was a nice, relaxing day.

Back from Jake's party. It was a nice time - we don't get to see him very often. Let me tell you that little guy knew what a "smash cake" was all about! Aiyden wanted no part of smashing his! LOL

The party was at an outdoor pavilion in a park and it was a bit chilly, but I made sure I stayed in the sun, so it wasn't too bad. Good time seeing two of our granddaughters and their Mom. We hadn't seen her in years!

Peggy, I'm only cleaning the bathrooms and running the vacuum - not worrying about much else. Supposed to be sunny and 70 - they can be outside! LOL

Good Morning Gals......

Lovely day here and tomorrow is to be sunny and 70!! I colored a few eggs this morning for the "community dish" for tomorrow. Got a few candies at the store yesterday to put on it.

We have one of our great grandson's first birthday party this afternoon. Made chicken salad for sandwiches and got a fruit plate for that. Need to make the pasta salad for tomorrow and get the house cleaned up.

Would have been a perfect day for the zoo tomorrow - just saying.........

LOL

Well, here we are one day before Easter. I just wish our weather would realize it tho too. I really can't complain as the sun is out again today and that is such a plus already.

Not much going on here today. We have Mass tonight at 8 PM as it has to be after dusk on Holy Sat....I hope we can stay awake in church LOL....We are usually heading to bed around the time church might be getting out...

I am waiting today to see if our DD or DGD want to meet us tonight for church. We are going to our DD's for Easter at noon.....We always bring the ham....This is one holiday our DD doesn't have to cook. Everything is brought over to her house....

Good morning! Sounds like both birthdays went really well! glad to hear everyone had such a good time!
That blindfold thing really sounds like a lot of fun!
I want to color eggs and have an Easter egg hunt in my DD's backyard for my kids! My kids are 40, 39, aand 36, my GS is 21 and my GD is 12 and lives in AZ. So this will be interesting, but I think it will be fun, my DD and I were talking how Easter just isn't the same since all the kids are grown now, so I thought, hmmm.....how fun would it be to have an Easter egg hunt for adults? I always loved helping the little ones find the eggs, so it should still be fun no matter what age they are! Plus we will have all those hard boiled eggs for lunch all week, and plenty of deviled eggs too!

Have a great Saturday everyone!

The party was a success and she was surprised. Her daughter had her wear wrap around sunglasses that she had put duct tape over so she couldn't see anything. Then she took all back roads and even turned around a time or two so she had no idea where she was. She'd never been to the winery before so even when she got there she didn't know where she was. LOL Had a nice group of people there and a couple she hadn't seen for a lot of years, so that was fun for her. Good time. We had the hall from 6-9, then they were all going to a local bar to continue the party but we came on home. I'm tired.

Have things to do in the morning to get ready for the party tomorrow afternoon, plus try to get ready for Easter and babysit Aiyden from 8:30-2:30. Fun. I guess Andrea isn't going to the birthday party with us. Her cousin got her tickets to see Brett Eldredge at a local Country Dance Club, so she wants to go there early to get a decent seat. Brenda's watching Aiyden for her and Andrea will stay there after the concert and go to work from there Sun. morning. Works for me! :-)

Have a great night everyone!

Hello to all, I know I have been MIA for a while. Been reading/skimming some of the posts many days. Today I am doing more skimming as I left my glasses at Mass last night. Picking them up today when I go in for services but right now am doing a lot of squinting to see.

Today is my birthday! This is also Good Friday of Easter weekend. I was at mass last night for Holy Thursday, Going to two services today....one at 3 is veneration of the cross and at 7 is the tenebrae services. Both very meaningful for me. Not forgetting that today is my birthday, my kids are meeting me at Red Lobster at 4:30 between services to celebrate.
Sat night is a vigil mass which I am planning to attend. On Sunday my son is doing Easter dinner. A full weekend for me.

Next week on Monday I am leaving for a week at Big Cedar. Not sure I will be on before I go. Denny's brother and sister-in-law are going with me. Looking forward to being gone.

Hope everyone has a blessed weekend. I will so what I can about reading posts to see what everyone is doing. Have a great day!!

We have my daughter Amy's 50th birthday party this evening. It's at a local winery. Having pizza, snacks, cake and wine. Tomorrow afternoon is our great grandson Jake's first birthday party, so we'll go to that and then Sunday we're having a cookout here. SIL is grilling chicken - non-traditional Easter. Supposed to be sunny and 70 though, so should be a nice change.

I made a roaster of sweet and sour meatballs and a big cheeseball with crackers for tonight, making chicken salad for sandwiches for tomorrow, and pasta salad and baked beans for Sunday.

Peggy, They have this cool new idea now from Butterball where there is a breast of turkey in this plastic bag and all you have to do is pop in right into the oven even frozen....It is just so good too. Than you let us set for 20 min of the counter. It isn't the biggest one, but boy we can get a good six meals out of for the two of us. I do believe it sells around here for $12.99 or a dollar more....No messing at all...Very little clean up too...

Good morning everyone hope everyone has a great weekend planned. Ours is just do the usual. I asked Jerry when we were at the grocery store if he wanted me to cook a turkey breast and have a turkey dinner for Easter or have Ravioli and Meatballs and he chose ravioli. Works for me, much easier to make since I made the meatballs and sauce last Sunday and that is what we had then.

Joyce, It is so funny that you posted that our kids just don't get it that we are getting older LOL..Our DS in Afghanistan just doesn't want to think of us getting older at all. He gets upset with us when we say there are things we just can't comprehend anymore and do anymore.

He wants us to use our brains more and more each day LOL....He wants us to write a grocery list and than put it in our pocket and not look at it at all in the store. He just knows we are never going to get old...Such a kid he is....

When I was talking to our youngest DD last night on the phone and I am searching for a word...she just jumps and says the word for me...NOT our DS LOL....Kid are so different...

Joyce, Jim says it will be easier, but easier for who? lol Not you! Hope it all works out and you have fun!
Annie, wasn't Survivor good last night? This season is one of the best! Did you know you can watch the Amazing Race online, the day after it airs on tv? Just go to CBS, then click on Video's, I believe, actually I go to Hulu and type in Which season I want and it take me to CBS, then click on which episode you want to watch:)

Peggy, I feel so bad about Jayne! It should be about her right now! I hope he doesn't come either!

I can't believe it's Thursday already and this month is half over! Time is just flyiing by since I started working full time! 4 months ago I was only working 2 or 3 days a week, and not in a row, just whenever they needed me, and time would just drag in between work days. Now the weeks are just flying by!

Nothing planned today, except going to work of course, oh yeah, I do want to go to church tonight, but it's at 6 on Thursdays and I don't get home until almost 7, so I don't know if I'll make it tonight or not:)

Oh Peggy, I feel so badly for Jayne! Sure hope he doesn't come! I like your suggestion about not making good food - LOL Maybe if I convince them I don't remember how to cook anymore????

Merri, it's just so easy not to worry about the house, especially with Aiyden being here all the time. Clutter with his toys is the norm!

It'll be OK - not like I'm not used to it, I guess I just wonder when they'll "get it" that I'm not that young anymore. LOL

Joyce, It sounds like it is going to be your turn now to have some fun with the family and what they want to do. Oh if things could just be so easy,,,,I understand what you mean about getting the house all ready for company. We really don't have that much company anymore here. We used to love to have an afternoon cup of coffee with our close friends. Most of them have either passed on or moved to warmer climate.

Joyce why don't you try not making any of you delicious food and see what happens.

My neighbor Jayne is going thru something similar. She is having that stem cell transplant and has to stay in the hospital for 3 weeks. She does not want her estranged husband flying in from Bahrain to be there. She says she doesn't want him coming here to her house and having fun with their granddaughter who is here visiting and taking their daughters out to dinner while she is laying in the hospital bed fighting for her life.

two nights ago her one daughter said but I need my father here. Jayne cried all night. She said this is about me not you. I sure hope he doesn't come.

Good news in your post Sue!!! Glad to hear it!

Turns out Easter plans changed. Brenda sent me a txt saying Jim thinks it will be easier to just cook out here Sunday instead of going to the lake. Since when? He's always grilling when they're down there. So she said they'd buy the food so I could relax. She missed the point I did NOT want to have to worry about getting the house "company ready" and have a house full on Sunday! If I say anything more about it, there'll just be an attitude and that accomplishes nothing. So I guess Easter is here after all. LOL

Hi everyone! I got off work early and tonight is "Survivor" the new season! Can't wait:)
Today has been a good day!
My great nephew is home from the hospital and is beautiful!
My DD's father in law is doing well also!
My son came over this morning and watch last years "Survivor", we are more than halfway through that one, and watching the new one too, it gets confusing sometime, but I just love that show!
Have a great evening all!

Peggy, I got the afghan finished for the Chinese Auction! Yaaaaay. Considering I hadn't touched it in months, surprised me how quickly it went.

Good Morning Gals!

Blue skies and sunshine today although still snow on the ground. It'll be gone soon, be 60 tomorrow.

Grace, we'd love to go to TN earlier, but we can't do it till May 16. Actually Rylan was due the first week in May but he showed up a little early. We've already purchased tickets for a couple shows in P.F. and there's no exchange or refund policy. :-( That's OK, give Desi time to get her strength back.

Merri, you have every reason to be soooo very proud of your son! Wonder why his attitude didn't rub off on his DD? Maybe she needs to go to Afghanistan for awhile and learn to appreciate things!! LOL

Peggy, Our oldest DD has a dear friend going through a stem cell transplant right now. He sounds like he is doing very well with it so far. Good luck to your neighbor Jayne too...

Well, Our DS has shared his Kraut with so many of his friends that we have to get his next box out very soon LOL....This is going to get to be one big process soon. He did say that he was going to write to the company and see if they could actually send some over to Afghanistan for all of them...I think that would be so cool if they actually got an order from our DS to be sent there...

He is such a positive person and has been gone for so long. He did 20 years in the Air Force than was home for five years and wanted to go back to Afghanistan as he felt he was needed there LOL...

Now has been back over there for five years again. It is just so touching how he can be in such a bad place with so little at his finger tips and still be so happy. Our DD here in town has everything she needs and than more and is never happy....Go figure!!! She is the mother of the bride that is getting married in June.

Thanks Annie, for the congratulations. Can't wait to meet him next month. That sure is an inconvenience trying to work in a kitchen that's being remodeled, but hopefully it'll be well worth it when it's done!

Funny you can't upload more pics if you're under the 50 limit. That was the only thing I could think of.

I should be in bed, but trying to watch "Greatest Story Ever Told" on the Christian channel. Not thinking I can stay awake long enough to see it all. :-(

you take it easy,, and WOW to the amount of avacados you got from your tree !! I can only buy them at a store.. but I think you may have lifted some heavy weight.. emoticon sending you a bunny to make you feel better.

Peggy:

Joyce:
CONGRATULATIONS on # 15 th !! little chunky butt,, Rylan Andrew..too precious.. emoticon
also , thanks for the info on the pics.. I only had 47 pics on there,, but I did not know you could move them around,, I will try that.. I will try and get Trudy /my name on the pics.. that will help too..

ok, I calmed down finally and thought that we are NOT the only people who are going through a mess in a home,,, having to push the stove in and out on a hand truck to cook dinner,, wash dishes in a dish pan in the bathtub !!

Prayers for Jayne!!!

Our 15th great grandson arrived today. His name is Rylan Andrew and weighed 8# 5 oz. He's in TN so we won't meet him till our trip there next month. She's already calling him chunky butt! LOL

I'm asking for prayers for my neighbor Jayne. She is having a stem cell transplant next week and she is really worried. She always thinks of the worst but I say try and think happy thoughts.

Hi...slept well on my couch..my shoulders are still sore..but I think I know why. On Saturday I picked an entire LAUNDRY basket full of Avocados from the TOP of my tree..using one of those pickers..they are heavy..and it took a while. I bet I really over did my back muscles working on that....OOPS!!!

Band practice tonight..working on a song called SHORES by Bryan Torwalt.....I love it!!!
