Good "raineeee " morning...

I sure wish we had just got an apartment..to move to..all this that goes with buying a new home.. things sure have changed.. since we bought here..

I would have loved to down size,,not go bigger,, but it is what it is..

I am so happy because my legs did lots on the trip and NO weak legs..all was so good on the trip...I guess stress sure does things to a person's body... I just need to take this move/paper work/legal stuff one day at a time..

Blue skies and sunshine today....been missing that!

Well, reality begins today - both gals are working now. I think the plan is for Brenda and I to split the kids....each take a baby and one of the others. LOL God help me when Brenda decides she wants to travel with Jim!! Andrea's hours vary from 9-6 to 2-6, five days a week. Sam's I believe are usually just 10-2 with her client, not positive on that.

Missed you here yesterday Merri! That woman needs to just get out of that situation! I hate to see people mistreated like that. It's hard not to say something, I'm sure!

Sharon, that sounds like a good plan, breaking the walks up like that!

Trudy, I see you're as busy as always! That's a lot of rain! There was about three inches over the days we had rain here and it caused lots of flooding in some areas.

Gwyn, you'll know when the time is right and like Peggy said, you'll be 66 before you know it! Time just flies anymore!

Peggy, I did some work on our closet Monday. Need to do more. Pack away the heavy sweaters and such. Never even wore them this year. I just wasn't sure what to expect in winter weather.

Annie, sometimes I think I'd like to move one more time....wonder if it was the smartest thing moving right here with everyone else. Most of the time it's perfect, but there are times I wish there was a little more space between us. LOL But the thought of moving again.......don't think I want to attempt it.

Barb, how's the back doing? I put Brynlee's little cradle swing on our table so when I put her in and out of it I don't have to bend down to lift her in and out of it. And Aiyden - I can barely lift him at all anymore!! He's gotten soooo big. Fortunately he doesn't need to be lifted much, just "helped" up sometimes.

Oh, Brynlee had her checkup yesterday and she's up to 8 pounds 8 ounces!!! She turned two months old this week.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning,
We are going to have rain for the next 6 days. They're predicting up to 5 inches for some places. It's going to be warm though.
I want to go tot he Y this morning and I'm volunteering at Feeding Our Kids this afternoon. Tomorrow I won't be able to go to the Y. Too much to do.
Sharon, it seems to me like you're able to do a lot more now than you were able to do we first got acquainted with you. That's got to feel good.
Gwyn, there does come a time when you're just "done" and ready to retire. When my husband retired I wasn't ready but, 3 years later when I was laid off, I was ready!! Except for the shock of being laid off, I wasn't that disappointed!!
Annie, so happy you had a good trip. Sorry you hit the crappy weather when you were heading home! Hopefully the rain will stop and things will dry up for your soon!!
Merri, I think your mean neighbor sounds like he has a terrible temper issue. I'm with you, I don't understand why that woman stays with him. So happy your fish made it through another winter! It sounds like Mr. Ken is doing well by being up and around. Does he acknowledge that he's feeling better by not being so sedentary?
Everyone have a great day!!

Good morning where we are at 58 and going to be a high of 72..with some rain off and on today.

I see I forgot to post on here yesterday. Mr Ken has the police scanner that comes through his computer. He had heard on there that there were all kinds of police at the high school that is maybe three miles from our house..( our kids went there)...This is what we seen in the paper and on the news too:

A Bradford High School freshman was in critical condition Tuesday evening after he was reportedly stabbed by a classmate at the school.

The stabbing was reported at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the school, 3700 Washington Road, with the suspect taken into custody almost immediately.

He young man is still fighting for his life..Gosh, what next is going to happen!!

Joyce, Yes, the mean neighbor got back Sun...There has to be something wrong with their trailer tho, as they took it someplace on Mon..not back yet.

Now, this one really ticked us off...Oh boy, I almost said something to that darn mean neighbor this time. After he got the trailer all parked...he started yelling at her big time. He told her that she has ruined his life and that the darn kidney is really ruining his life!!! This poor gal lost her one kidney maybe when she was in her 40's and now is going to dialyses at least three times a week for around 6-8 hrs at a time. She does have a house here in town...why do they stay?

Mr Ken was out by his fish pond most of the day yesterday. He painted the bridge that goes across it and took the air filter out and put the filter in too...Alot of work, but we love our fish...All of them made it through the winter too. They are around 8-10" now. I think this is at least their 3rd summer in there...His sugar count was only 61 this morning. That is what happens when you get out and get busy...Getting active. He didn't even take his afternoon meds either....

Annie, Oh it has to be so hard for you big move....I would never want to do that here. We have way more than we need in our house from over 53 yrs living here and than our son Rick's ebay things too...

Yesterday was a tough day but I did walk for 44 minutes and stayed busy. I was happy when I asked my pulmonary doctor about walking in increments. I am unable to walk 44 minutes straight so break my walks into 4 and he said that for someone with COPD and my age that it is the best way to go. He feels that if I do four 15 minute walks I will be doing very good. I am spreading them during the day and that is what is helping because it keeps me active. He also told me no naps during the day. He wants me to sleep at night. LOL. If he only knew. It was cloudy, windy and cold yesterday. I am feeling very good today and hope to get some things done. Hope you all have a very good day.

Hi All;

Weather here was similar to what alot of you have been having. Rain, wind, and cold.

A good day to stay inside.

Gwyn, sorry you're having trouble at work - I can relate. My entire working career I was in I.T. , which meant mostly men...never had a problem. This job is mostly women - and boy can they be catty! Feel like I'm back in high school! Can't imagine that women in their 40s and 50s behave like this!

Joyce, I feel bad for your GGD - poor kid doesn't seem to have much of a choice.

Trudy, and you're traveling again!!

You sure have been busy Trudy! Enjoy those steaks! That sounds like a fun trip to AZ! We did that when we went out west, flew into Vegas and rented a car to do the AZ, CA part of it. What a trip that was - saw things I never thought we'd get the chance to see, plus met two spark friends while there.

Yeah, the break is good....tomorrow both Sam/Andrea are working so we'll be figuring out what works best with the four kids to watch. I had Aiyden most of today, then Brenda brought Brynlee to me while she and Jim went to pick up their new Harley and we had Adalyn while Andrea went to the doctor. Not looking forward to full days of this shuffling.

We're going to Pigeon Forge for Mother's Day weekend. Have to use our 'bring a friend free" passes for Dollywood. We get Jim, Brenda, Michael and Sam all in with free passes!

I guess our GS is going to try to work things out with Kristin. Said he's "negotiating" things. Sad thing is Savannah said she'd rather be in Juvenile Detention Center than go back there - but she won't have a choice. We're hoping Joe might send Savannah down here for awhile this summer just to give her a chance at some breathing space for awhile, but knowing Kristin, she'll find some way to stop it. She blocked all of us on FB. Not one of us had said a word about the situation, but she did it anyhow. Oh well...........

Hi everyone,
I had volunteer appt. this morning at 7. Then I fixed a dinner for a friend who is really having a rough time physically and can hardly move. I feel so bad for her. She can't seem to catch a break right now. Hopefully things are moving in the right direction.
I had a dentist appointment and am now waiting on time to go to the Y. The neighbor stopped over this morning and invited me to dinner. That was sure nice of him! He said he's going to go buy steaks. I told him I had one he could just take it and cook it. It'll be more fun to have it with them than by myself!!
Sharon, glad the Dr. appointment went well. Hopefully the new nebulizer helps.
Gwyn, women can be catty and hard to work with I think!! Glad you're getting away from them. Hopefully something new will come along really soon.
Peggy, I hope Jayne gets better soon. How are you feeling?
Joyce, I'll bet you're glad to have a little respite from being quite so busy!.
I'm going on a trip to AZ with a friend over Mothers Day weekend. Her son is graduating from college and her husband, being a farmer, can't leave right then. So she asked me to go with her. We're flying into Vegas and renting a car and driving to Kingman. About 2 hours away. We leave on Thursday the 11th and get home on Monday the 15. Then no trips planned, at this time, until Sept.
Hope you're all having a great day!!

Yesterday it drizzled and was so cold. I walked 44 minutes and I made it to the pulmonary doctor. My breathing was bad yesterday so it was not a pleasant surprise when they told me I had to have a breathing test. I was very surprised when the doctor told me that my test was better than the last one. I took one of my plugs with me to show the doctor and he has now given me a sodim chloride nebulizer treatment that is supposed to liquify the mucus and make it much easier to expel. I sure hope it works. At this time I take it 1 time in the morning. I hope it gets her soon because it comes from a Lincare pharmacy. Hope that you are all well and enjoy your day.

Hi everyone!

Thread is quieter than usual. Annie, are you on your CA trip this week? If so, hope you're having a good time!

Merri, did your neighbor get back? Ugh!

Gwyn, that's sad your co-workers are making your last week uncomfortable for you. Hard to understand people sometimes.

Peggy, sorry to hear that Jayne is in the hospital!! Hope she'll be OK soon. Are you doing needlework yet? I should finish up Courtney's afghan today and can start on Dan's. Then I think I'll make one for Sam and Austin since they didn't have a shower or big wedding for me to make one for.

Sharon, hope your visit with the pulmonary doctor went well.

Trudy, when is your next trip? Love it that you're getting away with friends like that!

Grey skies again today and 57 at the moment. I think it's the first time we've had this many grey days in a row since we moved here. Supposed to clear off after today though and be sunny and 80 clear through the weekend. The rain was needed, so not complaining, that's for sure.

Nothing much on tap here this week. Jim's uncle and his wife are coming here Friday and leaving Saturday. I think Andy's brother and his wife are coming Monday and leaving Wednesday, but never know for sure about those two. LOL They never used to travel at all, then we took them with us to Pigeon Forge, then Nashville and Memphis and they got the Smoky Mt. fever like we did. They come down a few times a year and have a season pass to Dollywood. Even the family reunion has been moved to the cousins' area near Bristol TN last year and this year!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day........

Good morning!!! It's 55 here and we're off for our walk.

Laundry when we get back and I am making a coffeecake for a meeting tonight.

While that is in the oven I will ride the bike.

I am having Hands in Motion at 1

I forgot to mention that Jayne is in the hospital. She has cellulitus an inflammation of the skin. It is a bacterial infection.

Gwyn sometimes dealing with women is like being in 5th grade.

Now that's a funny story Barb! I'm sure you're the hero of the neighborhood kids! Love it! Glad your back is that much better!

Rained pretty much all day here, and chilly. I did get all the cubbyholes on my desk cleaned out and the trays on top of it as well. Feels good to get a task done that I had in mind for a change. And it's in my living room, too, so keeping with the Fly Lady projects!

Austin got rained out of work today but the boss said he'll add the hours in throughout the week so he doesn't lose pay. Sam worked at her job today, second day. First day she said all she did was make a bed and keep the girl company, but she really likes her! Andrea is off work till Wednesday and then pretty much full time after that. The new salon opens next week. She likes the gals she works with and says the atmosphere is so much better than "fast food." LOL

Not much else new here and that's OK with me! The "no news is good news" is sure the case most of the time!!

Hi All;

Wow - lots going on with everyone! Seems when I don't check-in on Sundays I always feel overwhelmed with all the comings and goings!

Friday was our (rescue group) Pasta Dinner. I worked a half day and then went to the church, where we hold it, to start cooking and setting up. It was really good this year, we made a few changes and they paid off! Served 110 people and made nearly $1700 between donations and ticket prices. Very pleased - a lot of work, but for a good cause.

Saturday was a rainy day - but had lots of errands to do.

Sunday turned out to be a nice day - so we went to the park, I was able to do a 2 mile walk - actually felt good. My back has finally healed and I can walk without pain.

Now today is back to work - yuck!

Joyce, hope things work out for your GGC - sounds like she needs a stable, loving home.

Annie - haven't heard from you, guess you're busy packing!

Sharon, good that you're walking daily.

Peggy, sometimes it's just nice to be home.

Trudy, have to tell you what happened to me on Saturday...Went to CVS to get a card and some other items. All the Easter candy was on sale and the woman ahead of me bought bags of it. So I resisted, got my stuff and left. When I got home and opened the bag - it was full of Easter candy! She must have left one of her bags there and the cashier gave me that bag instead of mine! So I had to go all the way back, the cashier had set my bag off to the side - which she gave me......but then she wouldn't take the candy back because she would have had to refund the purchase and I didn't purchase it....so she told me to keep it. On Sunday I saw kids outside playing and gave it to them! They were happy and so was I - didn't need temptation like that in the house.

Zone #5 Mission #2 Tuesday
Zone 5: The Living Room

This week we are in the Living Room Zone and I want each and every one of you to go into your living rooms and stand there. What do have on these surfaces? Are they the same decorative things that you have always had? Do you really love them? Are they cluttered up with too many things? I am not condemning those things but asking you if they still bring you joy and do you still love seeing them in your living room? Or are you just used to them?

You would be amazed at how much neater your living room will appear by just removing a few things. How much easier would it be to dust these areas without all that
stuff?

Your mission is to get rid of the stuff that is cluttering up your living room. Take 5 minutes to let go of some things. I am willing to bet that more of you will find you do want to get rid of some things because they do not bring you joy and you are just used to them being there.

Good morning,
It's sunny and pretty here this morning. Suppose to be 77.
I'm going to the gym at the Y before I go to water aerobics. I need to get back to some strength training. You know that old adage if you don't use it you lose it!! It's true!
I want to get some mulch today. Unfortunately I'll have the make a lot of trips to get as many as I need. I'd like to look at power washers too. I hope I can find a small one. I need to use it on my deck and get the loose paint/stain off the deck and re stain it.
Everyone have a GREAT day!!

Hi gals..

52 and rainy today, lots of flood watches in the area. Rain is supposed to continue off and on through tomorrow, then sunny and 80's the rest of the week. I made a pot of chili for dinner last night. The weather is right to enjoy it! LOL

Good luck at the doctor Sharon!

Gwyn, I hope you find the perfect fit for a job, has to be difficult switching like you've had to.

Peggy, enjoy your Bagel King. I think I'm going to work on clearing out the cubbyholes in my desk today and still working on Courtney's afghan.

Hope all of you have a great start to your week!!

Yesterday stayed cloudy all day and it was cold. I walked 44 minutes and then took it easy the rest of the day. I read some and watched some TV and even took a nap in my chair. Sounds like cool and cloudy again today. Have appointment with my pulmonogist this morning and will be glad to get that over with. Hope you all have a good day.

Zone 5: Mission #1 Monday

We are in the Living Room for a whole week!! Now we get the question about family rooms and living rooms. What to do if you have both? Well, my answer is to do the mission in both rooms. I try really hard for the missions to take less than 15 minutes so it should not be too much of a time crunch to do both rooms if you have them.

Your mission for today is to go sofa and chair diving! This is when you remove the cushions from your sofas and chairs and start digging for the things that magically disappear in there. Grab these things, toss them and then grab your vacuum and suck up the little dust bunnies that like to multiply. I bet some of you will find a few things that people in your family have been searching for!

Zone 5: Mission #2 Tuesday

This week we are in the Living Room Zone and I want each and every one of you to go into your living rooms and stand there. What do have on these surfaces? Are they the same decorative things that you have always had? Do you really love them? Are they cluttered up with too many things? I am not condemning those things but asking you if they still bring you joy and do you still love seeing them in your living room? Or are you just used to them?
You would be amazed at how much neater your living room will appear by just removing a few things. How much easier would it be to dust these areas without all that stuff?

Your mission is to get rid of the stuff that is cluttering up your living room. Take 5 minutes to let go of some things. I am willing to bet that more of you will find you do want to get rid of some things because they do not bring you joy and you are just used to them being there.

Zone 5: Mission #3 Wednesday

For today you are to take 10 minutes and dust the decorative items in your living room. The picture frames, lamps, and knick knacks. This is a detailed dusting so, turn on the music and move quickly.

Don't get sidetracked, set your timer and go.

Zone 5: Mission #4 Thursday

Today we are going after the neglected areas of our living room/family room. Grab a feather duster or dust rag and go after the tops of door jams, pictures, molding, windows, corners of the ceiling and the tops of your curtains. Now do not get obsessed and start tearing the room apart. Just look up and dust!

Zone 5: Mission #5 Friday

Today is the last day of the Living Room Zone. Your mission for today is to place something pretty in the room that is just for you. I am thinking of some lovely flowers that are from your garden or a small bouquet that you can purchase for just a few dollars. Maybe you have a lovely arrangement or plant somewhere in your home that would be just perfect in your freshly cleaned living room! Enjoy!

Good morning,
Just as I got out of bed I heard a transformer blow somewhere. I didn't have power for 1 1/2 hours. Now the power is back on. It's suppose to be around 65 here today.
Merri, you got a lot done while the mean neighbor was gone. You're sure right that we have to think before climbing!!
Joyce, so glad you have a quiet day. Good news that Joe has found an apartment for Savannah and himself!! Hopefully things will settle down now. Glad they're coming to spend Savannah's 16th birthday with you all too!!
Gwyn, enjoy your day off!! You don't have many of those do you? I'm doing very well today. Thanks for asking!!
Everyone have a great day!!
I'm going to fix some flowers for my husbands grave and take them out there. I do a spring and fall arrangement every year. It's worked well. I put artificial flowers in a hanging basket and have a small shepherds hook out there to hang the arrangement on.
It's a beautiful day for that. He always loved spring flowers so much!!

Good Sunday morning from K-town where we are at 52 and going to reach around 67!! It is nice and sunny out too..

Today Mr Ken has to get out in his garage and pick up all of his mess from yesterday. He made 12 new pickets for the two long white fences we have....Six he did use on the fence by the mean neighbor....The mean neighbor should be rolling in with his big trailer around noon....

So, yesterday...I did manage to get the big window over the table done!!!! Finally!!! Curtains done too...Took the round rug from under the table and washed it outside on a tarp on the driveway....Let it dry good and now brought down stairs for the summer months...

Today I want to get the two little windows done and curtains too. Mr Ken has to help me with the two of them tho as one is over the sink and the other one I could reach..but he doesn't want me falling.....When we were on our walk yesterday the one neighbor gal came out and showed us where she had fallen and broke her shoulder...That really makes a person think at our age. She is one day younger than Mr Ken....

Joyce, I too so agree...it is hard enough being a teenager and than have to have your life not stable is a bummer....I give a high 5 to Joe for wanting to give Savannah a good life....That would be so nice for her to celebrate her birthday 16th by you guys too

Good Morning!!

55 and it's been raining here in Rock Hill. Supposed to rain off and on all day, sometimes pretty heavy, I guess. Good day to just stay in and relax. Should lock the door. Well, guess that wouldn't work, Aiyden stayed with us last night. emoticon

Sharon, I've forgotten where you live, but UGH on the white stuff! We've been in the 80's most of the week, it'll be cooler today, but still around 60.

Peggy, hope that cough clears up for you. Gosh, I miss my gardening, although it really had gotten to be too much for me to keep up with. We used to put in two huge vegetable gardens every year and then had all the canning and freezing to do when it was harvest time. I tried to do some potted tomato plants just to have fresh tomatoes, but they didn't do very well for me.

Glenda, your dog looks like a sweetheart! I miss having pets. We're actually allowed to have them in these apartments, you'd be amazed at some of the big dogs they have! But I don't think that's fair to them to be cooped up in an apartment so much and then when we're gone, there's the issue of someone to care for them. The beach looks soooo relaxing!

Gwyn, enjoy your day off and swimming! I wish I'd learned to swim at some point. I know it's "never too late", but just don't feel that motivation anymore.

Hope everyone has a really nice day today - enjoy yourselves!!

Good Sunday morning all..

Well today it is 36* with light rain and snow. All I can say about that is yuck, also! Not a good day for gardening so I think I may go for walk.

Trudy, good going on the passing up the Easter candy!! I was tempted too, but I looked at it and thought, poison to my body. Keep walking girl!!

Went to lunch with my sister in law yesterday and then we went for a nice walk on one of the trails near here. It was good to have human company on the walk for a change. I love my pooch, but he's not a great conversationalist. lol... You can check out a picture of my pooch on my spark page. I just posted it this morning. I also posted a pic of one of the beaches I go to.

I am hoping we soon get some warmer weather. I still have some cleaning to do out in the yard and I want to plant some flowers.

Well I hope everyone enjoys their day today.

Hugs from NS...

Brenda talked to Joe, he's found an apartment for himself and Savannah. He said he's DONE. Savannah turns 16 next month and he told Brenda he wants to bring her down here to celebrate her birthday with all of us. Might have her spend part of the summer here, too. I think his wife has pushed one time too many and he's had enough.

Joyce, I'm glad you're having a quiet weekend!! It doesn't sound like BK offered Andrea much to stay!! Worse pay and fluctuating hours?!? Glad she's going to the salon. That will be good for her and her home life. She'll have so much more time with the kids and Michael.
It sounds like Joe has a lot of support. I hope the situation with Savannah goes smoothly. Being a teen is hard enough with out all the stress added.
I'm just staying home. Cleaning house.

Good morning,
It's overcast and cool here. We're having the Illinois Marathon here in town today so, the race course is all over the twin cities. No going out until after 2 or complete frustration!! I have things to do here.
Sharon, you must be finally feeling better. You got a lot done!!
Gwyn, I hope the agency finds something for you that's doable for you!
Peggy, did I miss something? Are you not feeling well? I hope that's not the case.
Merri, you sure do get your steps in don't you!! You and Mr. Ken sure are worker bees!! Glad you got some things done outside while the pill of a neighbor is gone!
I have stripped the bed and washed the sheets and fluffed up the spread in the dryer.
Now the towels are in dryer. I have to rearrange some things in the kitchen. I have one cabinet that frustrates me EVERY time I open it. Time to do something else with it!!
Joyce, are you having a good weekend so far? Any company this weekend?
Annie, what are you up too? The move is getting close isn't it!!
Glenda are you still having spring weather/
Everyone else, whom I missed, I hope you have a great weekend!!

Good morning everyone. It's sunny and 67 here. I think there might be rain coming in later today and tomorrow.

Gwyn, I'm glad you figured out the work situation and hope the agency finds a great fit for you! Andrea talked to the district manager of BK yesterday, basically gave her notice. The mgr said she could put her on as a shift manager but her pay would drop and she would still have to work the varied shifts and at least a couple of closing shifts. With what she's making hourly at the salon plus her tips, she'll be better off there. Plus her hours are steady. Only 40 hrs a week, never more than 9-6 and some days only 2-6. It'll give her all her evenings with her kids and more of a set routine.

Peggy, hope you have a good day!! Have you tried to crochet or knit yet? I'm going to get Courtney's afghan back out to work on. I hid it last weekend while she was here.

Sharon, sounds like you had a great day yesterday! You go girl!

Merri, I can just imagine how much more relaxed you are with that neighbor away! That has to be so difficult to live next to someone like that!!

Trudy, what are you up to this weekend?

Barb, how's your back feeling??

No plans here this weekend and that's fine with me! Andrea kinda wanted to go over to Pigeon Forge tomorrow but there's 90% chance of rain and only a high of 60, so we'll pass on that!

Not sure what's going on with Savannah yet. She and Joe have been staying in a motel for a few nights. He told Brenda he's trying to find an apt. but the complex we lived in is full. Brenda even called her friend that runs it to see if there was anything she could do and she said she doesn't even have a 30 day notice from anyone right now. Jim was going to talk to his former employer to see if he could get Joe their company rate at a motel in Streetsboro for now and if this is going to be longer term, Brenda is going to talk to Amy to see if they might be able to stay at the house until he can find something. Thinking he'll still end up going home and sending Savannah here. Brenda's going to suggest maybe getting her through the school year there and send her here for the summer for a "trial run" to see how it goes on both ends.

Andy's brother Jim and his wife are coming for a couple of days May 1, 2. They're coming down to TN this week, staying with our cousins there I think and going to Dollywood during the week. We might meet them there, depending on the work schedule for the girls. But if not, they're coming here, so it's not a big deal.

Good morning from K-town where we are at 45 and they are saying a high of around 53! It is nice and sunny here too...Suppose to nice all weekend...

Oh what a joy to be able to go out in the front yard and not have the darn mean neighbor watching me...I edged the lawn and Mr Ken did the curb for me. Than I cut the grass. Oh how I love doing yard work... I got over 18,000 steps and 6.87 miles. Than when I went and asked for my pay from Mr Ken....he had the nerve to ask me to work over time and be his gofer for over an hour....No pay at all...He said he would make me something good to eat today instead...He fixed the tarp nice and tight by the mean neighbor's fence. We don't dare attach anything to his fence!!! Mr Ken made his own frame and put it in the ground next to his fence. His fence is getting older and he likes to watch us through the slates in the fence...Grrr

Peggy, I love days when we don't have to go anywhere at all...We are good for today I think until church tonight at 5 PM....

Joyce, I always love the pictures you guys post of FB..Thanks for sharing...

Yesterday was such a nice day. It was sunny, no wind and 61 F. I did my 40 minute walk and then worked outside and got the west side of the house flower bed cleaned out and hoed. Did groceries and then cleaned out the east side of the house flower bed and hoed. Now I have the front of the house and around the garage to do and I am caught up. Hope you all have a great day.

Good Fri morning where we are at 42 and suppose to get to around 52...But the sun it out!!!

Mr Ken is still trying to get our cable bill figured out. He talked to one man and than asked for a supervisor than got no where and wanted to talk to someone higher up. Well, he gave them our phone # and I guess when the person called back...we didn't know who it was until too late with the answering machine and Mr Ken got to the phone too late. Called them back and still waiting for them to call back again... We usually don't answer the phone if we don't know the number on the ID.

Peggy, Mr Ken & I did that to our mattress last Sat. We can just rotate ours tho. We took off the bed skirt and mattress pad and comforter and washed all of it. I do all of that twice a yr at least...

I have trouble swallowing too. Mine is from me having Sjorgrens...I have to have the endoscopy done once a yr too...Just have to always have water by me when I eat and try to chew gum most of the time...

Mr Ken just got a new conceal carry permit. He has to renew his for the next five yrs. He did it online all by himself. Very proud of him. He did it and it came in two days...Good job, Mr Ken....

The mean neighbor and his trailer are gone through Sun I think. So Mr Ken wants to get things done by his fence. We have a gray tarp by there so he can't see us in the back yard. I hate the feeling knowing someone is watching me...Yikes....Mr Ken puts his own frame and it isn't attached to the mean neighbor's fence at all....

Good morning everyone....

Roz, I can imagine how tired you must get taking care of the kiddos. We're in the same boat here a lot of the time, but I have Andy here to help. That extra pair of hands makes a huge difference! Take care of yourself! Those children are blessed to have you!

Peggy, I'm glad you have a down day today. You really need that sometimes! You keep mighty busy!

Gwyn, you're absolutely right - better late for gym and not work! Have a good day!

Sharon, Andy has a swallowing problem too. He had an endoscopy and swallow test a few years ago. Everything was normal, but he still has issues at times. Actually takes his breath away and scares the daylights out of me with his other problems.

Andrea's off all weekend. I think Sam starts her new job today, just a few hours. Brenda is watching Brynlee for her. I have to go get groceries and get things organized here again. Not sure what's on tap for the weekend. Andrea would really like to go to Pigeon Forge for a day. Andy's brother and SIL were talking about coming down this weekend to P.F. to use their "bring a friend free" passes and bring their cousin down but I haven't heard if it is a go or not. If they did we probably would drive over for the day to see them.

No news on the issue with GGD.

Have a great day everyone. It's blue skies and sunshine here and 67 already.

Good morning,
It's cooler here this morning than it has been for the last couple of weeks. It's only suppose to be in the 50's today and tomorrow. I need go go get blood drawn this morning for a dr. appt. next week. Then off to the Y and I think I'll mow the grass when I get home. I want to stay on top of it since the first time I mowed it was so deep and thick that the mower kept bogging down.
Roz, take care of yourself too!! Good to hear from you.
Sharon, glad you know your food is going down right. That will help. Glad you got your walking in too!!
Peggy, enjoy your day off!! Sometimes we just need a "do nothing" day!!
Everyone have a great day!!

Yesterday we had rain showers in the morning and then it was just cloudy the rest of the day. It didn't get very warm. I had a medical test yesterday that had me eat some different types of food and they took pictures of the throat area as I swallowed to make sure it was going down the right way. It was a good day to do it because I was having problems. The test went well and the food is going down normal. It is just a sensation feeling and they said it was very real. Nothing can be done. Glad it only happens when I have a plug in the airway. Got them cleared last night and feel better. I did walk 40 minutes yesterday too so that made me happy. Hope you all have a good day,.

Good morning!! It 62 here and we're off to Bagel King.

After that my day is free and that's just what I need. I think I've had too many meetings this week and I have the state convention tomorrow all day.

Have a great day everyone.

I love your new picture Roz

Hello Everyone,
Have been busy looking after grands and the 7 year old with CP is VERY demanding so it's early rising and late nights for me.

Today is the day to remake your bed. This may take a little longer than usual but so well worth it. Strip your bed and remake it. Get someone to help you flip the mattress, if you can't then try just to turn it around. If you have some fabric spray spritz your linens or if you have had any colds or flu's in the house lately consider spraying your mattress and pillows with an anti-bacterial spray. Then place those crisp freshly washed sheets and blanket on. Take extra care when making the bed.

Really tuck those corners in and fluff the pillows. An extra tip is to toss your pillow in the dryer with a dryer sheet for added freshness and fluff. Use your bedspread or comforter and make up the rest of the bed. Take your time and know how much you will enjoy getting into your bed tonight and how wonderful it will feel.

Maybe tonight you will go to bed a little earlier or stay in bed a little longer tomorrow morning just taking some time to enjoy something so simple yet rewarding.

Thanks Trudy!! There most likely is....I guess the wife had a melt down about something last night and wanted Joe to call police on Savannah for something....said if he didn't he could leave, so he did. Haven't been able to find out what the issue was....but definitely prayers needed for that family!!!

Glad you got hone safely Joyce. I will keep your family in my prayers for the right answer to come. Sounds like maybe there is more at issue than just Savannah.

SO proud of you Trudy!!!

We got home around 1:30, good trip. Just catching up with a few things. Adalyn is napping, Aiyden is playing. Andrea is at work and probably won't be home till around 7. Michael picked up Aspyn from Brenda, but we kept the other two.

Nothing more from grandson yet about Savannah. Things got a little more complicated last night I think - Joe ended up taking Savannah and staying in a motel. Not sure what happened......

I went to Walgreens to get trash bags. Easter candy was 50% off. What do I want... what do I want? Then I said to myself...It's the choices you make. Got my trash bags and left!! Score 1 for me this time!!😊

Good morning,
I'm up and showered early today. I need to take my new car in to be seal coated to help keep the finish nice. I have to leave here by 8. Then I'm coming home and hitting the fly lady for the day. I'm going to do the inside of the dresser though!! The tops are good. Just need to get the drawers straightened out and all the stuff I don't wear/need out of those drawers!!
Sharon, I'm so glad you got to walk again yesterday. You've really been able to keep at it!
Glenda, I'm with you and the dog. I love the beach/water too!! So calming. I could just sit and look at water all day!
Good luck at ww Peggy!! Glad to hear Jerry's back is better!
Barb, so glad to hear your back is better too!! No lifting Ben....darn. Hugs though!!'
Merri, was probably less busy yesterday with the President gone. Nice to see the helicopters though isn't it!!
Annie, I hope your move goes smoothly. Not too long now! Are you busy packing?
Joyce, continue to have fun. I loved the pictures on fb!! It looks like you're all having fun.
Everyone have a GREAT day!!

I did do my 40 minute walk again yesterday. It has been over a month now that I have walked every day except one and that day I had my endoscopy so was in the hospital out patient for most of the day. It was cloudy and cool yesterday and still not a real good day but weather might be having something to do with the breathing problem. Hope you all have a good day.

Hi All;

Weather has turned a bit cooler - but I need to keep reminding myself that it is still April.

Joyce, sure hope things will work out with this young girl, life is hard enough with having a rocky start.

Trudy, LOL goes to show how much I know about cars! Good luck with it.

Fortunately my back is getting better, no more lifting Ben!

Good evening all..
I just got back from a nice walk on the beach with the pooch. He loves it down there, so do I. The air is so much nicer. The last time we were down, a fox crossed the path right in front of us. What a beautiful animal..
I am gradually getting my yard cleaned up after all the snow left. I had a wheel barrow full of pine cones from the neighbors tree, and broken branches, etc. to clean up. It was good to have a few days off to do this, but now I am back at it at work again.
Still managing to stay on track and getting my exercise in.
Well take care all....

Yesterday we worked on the nightstands and today we are going after the dressers! Get rid of anything that is not necessary! Instead of a pile up of cosmetics, place them in a ziplock bag and then store them in a drawer when not in use. For perfumes and colognes, toss what you no longer use and place you favorites on a pretty tray, plate or mirror. Keep this space neat and clutter free, you will love to wake up to the flat surfaces in your bedroom decluttered.

Jerry's back must be feeling better. I just heard him vacuuming the other part of the house. I was going to do it in a little while but now I don't have to.
