This weekend I went shopping for clothes for the first time since I've started my healthy lifestyle. I bought everything in Mediums instead of Larges. Was SO excited to try on clothes and actually feel like they looked good. :D

Hey everyone. Just wanted to post the exercises that I just did; of all the combinations, I've had yet to have any routine make me feel so thoroughly worked out...
Crunches -- 2 sets of 15 Seated Knee Lifts /w chair -- 2 sets of 15 Lying Straight Leg Rises -- 2 sets of 15 Superman x 2 (30 seconds each) Modified Plank x 20 (30 seconds each) Lying Adduction -- 2 sets of 15
Before hand I did about 150 jumping jacks to get my body warmed up and my heart pumping. It felt great. All the while I was listening to Bif Naked.
For anyone needing a bit of enjoyment in your day, those were surprisingly fun to do. Enjoy!

I seem to be getting back on track :)
May is only 9 days old, and I'm at 475 fitness minutes for this month already. (nearly an hour a day)
I even went back to doing weight training today, Unfortunately I have to cut into my cardio because of a foot injury, but I'm still getting my exercise one way or another :)

Earlier today I decided to walk with my parents every evening from now on, Also my job will be pretty active (construction work) so even with that drivers license, I think I'll still get a lot of exercise in.
And I still have my bike for the shorter distances, as soon as I get the tires fixed, LOL.

...oh wait, that's not my bragging thing. xD
My uncle showed me some weight training exercises and really got me pumped for my next strength training workout
I seem to be burning more than double the calories than the SP planner tells me to burn weekly, purely by doing stuff with friends and playing guitar quite actively. If I can keep up this rate, I'll reach my goals in no time!

My brag isn't directly related to weight loss but I think it is indirectly due to the gained confidence.
I got a PROMOTION at work! I went in to talk to my boss and just laid everything out in a non-emotional, professional manner. The response was awesome and so much easier than I expected.
It really boosted the self-confidence and made me realize that if I could do THAT, then I could definitely keep on track with SP goals too. Look out world!

Everywhere I go, I am getting comments on how much weight I have lost. I see it as being a long process that I have worked my butt of..hehehe..for a year doing. Everyone else seems to think that I have just dropped the pounds without working at it....yeah, I wish. I've lost 3 pounds! I've lost 3 pounds!!! OK, I know that doesn't sound major, but it is. I have thyroid problems and a whole bunch of health issues so it can be very hard to get my body to do what it's supposed to do!

So I was sitting on the edge of my bed yesterday morning trying to decied what to wear. I had bought a pair of jeans off ebay about 6 months ago that were supossed to be a size 20 but my mom who is a size 16 could not get them on.
I decied I would try them on just to see how close I was to getting them on because I love the jeans so been dieing to wear them. To my surprise they slide right on no fight no fuss. Didnt even have to struggle to fasten them. I think I did the happy dance all the way through the house after I put them on lol!

I have a MAJOR brag on my part I went to a family reunion (what fun) but the brag part is I didnt eat everything in site (as i would have before) I sat and had ameal and then had a small dessert and didnt touch another thing!!!!!!!!!!
I was there for 4 hours with food on 3 different tables and had the control to say no I was so proud of myself.

i am looking forward to fitting into 12's! i'm in 14 now most of the time some are tight some are loose. its weird, you think they would make them at least close. (of course i'm talking australian sizes, i think our 12 is about an 8 in US)

On Monday I had to buy "professional"-looking clothing for a job interview. I picked up a pair of size 14 pants, since my 16s are loose now, and when I tried them on they were HUGE on me and I had to get a 12. I don't think I've worn a 12 since junior high! I'm so excited!

i've lost 20 kilos, thats 44 pounds for anyone playing along at home! wow! i am not a runner i have hardly ever run in my life but last night after tea we went for a walk and on the way home i ran the last block, or jogged, couldn't keep up with hubby but thats ok cause he did like 4 years of running in school. but i didn't get too out of breath and i didn't have to stop so thats pretty good. just have to learn to pace myself a little.

Today I had the chocolate craving that would not quit. At work I was sooo tempted to eat some of the cookies I was cutting up for cake toppers, but I managed not to. Instead I made myself a small smoothie with real fruit and soy milk -- at 260 calories, it's probably the "healthiest" thing we sell. Didn't kill the chocolate craving, but at least I could tell myself "hey, look at all the calories you saved."
Small steps, I guess.
Maybe I ought to get some chocolate hard candies to keep on hand.
