I love garage sales and thrift stores!!! It's amazing what all you can find there.

That rug idea looks like fun... I'm afraid my cats would have a field day with it though... Your idea with the shoe hanger for all your shower needs sounds like a fantastic way to not only organize, but to have them handy, for when you're already IN the shower and have forgotten something.

One thing that I truly love is making my house look good. But my finances are low, so being creative is important. I thought you might like to share ways to decorate our homes and not spend lots of money.

Bathroom:

I enjoy making inexpensive towel into magnificent ones by sewing on trim.

I put a shower rod on the back wall of my shower area so I could hand a plastic shoe bag. In each pocket I have put shower and bath needs. It has freed up my linen closet space for more towels.

Old towels make wonderful rugs for the bathroom. Here are 2 videos:

Flea markets are a wonderful place to find wall hangings for your bathroom. Or you can find pictures in magazines and frame them.

Curtains can some times be a bother because you cannot ways find what you are looking for. I have bought an old white sheet at the thrift store and appliquéd or hand painted a design on the sheet and used as my curtain.

The vanity in the bathroom may look dated. A little paint and taking the doors off can update it. Just hang a curtain rod over the door area and use curtains. It gives a new fresh look.

Don't forget to put some candles and flowers in your bathroom for that soft romantic touch.

Oops, almost forgot. How to take care of the things on your vanity. I have taken boxes and covered them with either wrapping paper, decorative duct tape or scrapbook paper. Then I filled the box with the items I had all over my vanity.

Those are my ideas. I would love to hear yours.
