I've been stuck on the 5 fat burning miles the past couple of weeks. Did all 5 miles Thursday, Friday, and today! Feels so good in spite of a few sore joints!

I started out this morning feeling lazy and not wanting to work out. I finally decided I would do one mile with Leslie to at least get my blood moving a bit. Wouldn't you know by half way through the first mile I was gearing up and enjoying myself and decided to do another mile. Next thing you know, I was burning through the fourth mile and so elated to have gotten up and started moving! Let this be a lesson to me to just get up and go each morning and whether I do a mile or 5 miles it is beneficial!! emoticon

I pushed the mower today for 80 minutes. Might be the last I have to mow for the season. Usually by now we have had killing frost but it has been warmer than usual this fall.

Wow Debbie! You are rocking it! Congrats on all those steps!

Tammy, those injuries and chronic problems can be a real downer. A couple years ago I had plantar warts on the soles of my feet that were so painful I could barely walk for my daily activities. Glad you realized the source of your problem and I hope wearing the proper footwear will get you back to where you want to be.

Yesterday I did the 3 mile mega walk. I'm gearing myself up for that this morning and then some lawn mowing this afternoon.

posting late late nite: 7/2 what a busy day, most I have ever walked since I began but I feel good and tired, but its all good. I did 11, 808 steps with my stride it is equal to 5.90 miles. Another busy day tomorrow (which is today) so I'll see if I can top it, I'll give it my best.

Yes I walked today a total of 3944 steps and with my stride that is equal to 1.97 miles and I burned 330 calories. I'm staying persistent and I feel good about that! emoticon

Morethanamom, feel for bad for you, those heel spurs I know can hurt so bad. You have to do what you have to do and nobody can fault you if you can't get the walking in.

If you are able to do any other form of exercise on of my teams members told me of a webstie where you put the minutes of exercise into the calculator and it tells you how many steps it would equal for each form of exercise. It is on the website calorie king. Just thought I would share it with you and other members here as well.

No, the bone spur in my heel is hurting today after attempting 3.1 mile walk yesterday in the wrong footwear.. and I only made it 2.09 before I had to go home and get off my foot.. then today my mom got her ssi and I had to take her to run errands.. and was on my foot most of the day.. I will do at least 1 mile in the morning before I have to leave for orientation at my new job. emoticon

So true, Debbie! Some days we may not get as far as others but just getting up and getting some steps in is a great accomplishment!

I did two miles with Leslie this morning and I pushed the mower for 35 minutes this evening.

I am planning on pushing the lawn mower this afternoon. Yesterday I mowed for an hour and did 2 miles WATP. I also weeded in my flower beds and the vegetable garden for over an hour. My back was complaining!

Well, Tammy, I'm sure the 10 minutes you did made for a good burn! Good luck with the line dancing. It is something I've always wanted to learn but have never pursued it. You are right, you never know until you try and it is always good to mix things up a bit using different workouts.

Lisa, you wore me out just reading about that mall walk, run, climb! LOL

I did a mall walk today looking for a dvd player that wasnt expesive. I was running late so i was rushing through the mall i climbed up 2 escaltors. I finally found one than almost ran to the bus stop then rushed to get my girls and then rushed tp get my son by pick up time. Not including my job as a housecleaner.

I tried the Belly Dancing this morning and made it throw 10 min. but there was to much hopping and bouncing around for me, so I turned it off and but in WATP 2miles and did that.. I have a line dance workout that I think I will try next.. never know until you try.. right!

I did not try the yoga tape last night... I was just to tired by the time I got to bed. I am going to at least watch it to night so I can see what is involved. I also have a Belly Dance tape that I have had for several years and hasn't been in the tape player as often as it should have been. Its gets pretty intense for a while and I haven't had the stamina to do it.. but I think that I am going to pull that out and maybe alternate with my 3 mile walk tapes that I have.

I also finally received a reply from Dietitian Becky regarding my calorie range that sp set from me.. and as I suspected it was to high for me because I never eat enough to even make it to the low end.. but she suggested a new lower calorie range that I am going to start today. She said that I should see 1-3 lb losses a week with the new calorie range.. so keep your fingers crossed..

Awesome Tammy! Did you get to the yoga tape last evening? If so, how did that go? I have never really tried yoga. I have terrible balance so I suppose it would be good for me to try sometime!

I did the WATP Express Walk Strong workout this morning which is counted as two miles. It has intervals of walking and resistance bands. There are a lot of squats and lunges using the band. I plan to do some more miles later on so I will wait to post on the challenge minutes.

I don't walk on Sunday's but I do the rest of the week... and I did 30 min. 2mile WATP and a 1 mile hike on a hard trail that took me an hr to complete at a moderate pace..yesterday.. boy was I ready for bed last night.

Yay Tammy!! You rock!! emoticon So excited for you to have finished a 3 mile walk!! I love that about walking with Leslie...you can always modify the pace or your moves to make it work for you!! I have no doubt you will soon find the 3 mile walks more manageable. You are doing awesome!!

I mowed the yard today for my exercise. I would have loved to walk with Leslie too but I had too many errands to run. My son and his family came over to spend a couple of days with us so I needed groceries and then had to get home and get a meal together before they came.

I did 3 miles WATP Express for the first time.. emoticon By the time 2 miles came around I didnt know if I could do the whole 3 miles.. Leslie was kicking my butt.. I had to lighten up the intensity for a few min. and catch my breath.. then I was able to pick up the pace again and I completed the workout.. emoticon I am planning to do the 3 mile walk 2x's a week until I feel like I can handle it daily. I was so beat and sweaty when I was done, but very proud that I had stuck it out and did the whole 3 miles. I wouldn't have been able to do it just one month ago.. emoticon

Great job ladies! Tammy, that sounds like a nice walk at the state park! Glad you are also loving Leslie!

I did not get any significant exercise over the weekend since we were gone for a wedding but so far today I have push mowed for an hour and 15 minutes. I have another 30 minutes to go.

I did a 1 mile hike on a medium trail at Whitepines state park this afternoon.. and did pretty well.. I am loving the WATP even more now.. in just a few week my endurance as improved.

I walked from my house to town and back again. It is about 4 miles total. I did a little jogging at a few intervals to increase the intensity.

I walked many laps (at least 20) at the Relay for Life cancer walk last evening. It is a 1/4 mile track.

That's awesome Sue! I just finished 75 minutes of push mowing and I did 2 miles with Leslie this morning. This evening I will be walking laps for Relay for Life. Not too shabby considering I had the leg ablation on Wednesday. Only lost one day of working out.
