Heh -- either "commitment" or the need to be committed...

The main partner I work for just told me I'm not to work past 8 pm tonight (given last night's particularly late night). The sad things are (1) he thinks he's being humane, (2) that really is earlier than I get to go home most nights, and (3) it WILL NOT change his expectation of getting my summary judgment draft to him by noon tomorrow (even though he knows that my entire day today got eaten up with an opinion letter for another client).

But I'll leave at 8 regardless of the status of the SJ motion, so I can get on the treadmill at a reasonable hour. My poor husband is always have very late suppers because of my late night workouts... (I wish I had access to some of Bobbi's pot roast leftovers!)

Currently maintaining within 5 lbs. (+ or -) of goal. I weigh daily, but also use a tape measure and the fit of my clothes to guage how well I'm doing.

Good morning all! Cottage cheese and tomatoes sounds like a great breakfast, Mandy. I'll definitely try it as I'm starting to get sick of eggs in the morning. I didn't realize cottage cheese was low carb!

I'm sitting here again with my morning coffee, this time reviewing Criminal Law before I work on some questions. The pot roast last night turned out AMAZING - we will definitely be making that again. And now we have lots of leftovers for the week. Tonight we're making salmon and green beans for dinner.

On another note, I think my scale is trying to tell me not to weigh in every day. This morning I woke up, went to weigh in, and it said "Low Battery." I guess I'm taking days off until I get more batteries!

Mandy, I end up drafting a lot of orders for the attorney I work for because he never gets around to doing them. I get sick of getting the calls from clients or other law firms asking about them, so I just do it. He's never once noticed, but it's good practice for me (and only once has opposing counsel objected to my proposed order - pretty good for a measly law clerk!).

It's a beautiful day and a great day to be alive!

Good morning team!
Got up early to do a quick, short run on the treadmill. It was nice. Now I'm eating my cottage cheese and tomatoes and drinking coffee. Thought about you Bobbi as this was one of my favorite low carb breakfasts when I did low carb in law school.

Today will be a lot calmer. Have a funeral this morning and one appointment this afternoon. Hoping to get some orders done today as well. I always let those sit too long. Next time I wonder why I'm not making more money, I'll think of you Cynthia and your 11 hour days. That takes a lot of commitment.

Everyone have a great day!

I'll make it to the moon, if I have to crawl.
