I think it's natural to want to eat more on your period. Your body is working harder and losing blood so it needs more nourishment. Before I started on this plan I could tell when I was a few days away from my period because my body would want to eat healthy. It's almost as though my body slightly cleanses and wants to get rid of bad things... Maybe that's weird... Lol. I was going to mention/ask if you only had gluten one day or if you did the full trial cycle.
I also didn't notice the bloating as much during my period. I did seem hungry more though. I agree, try it again later. Plus you have day 4 still with gluten and that may give you more signs that gluten is a problem.
Maybe wait and see when you get your period. I did find on the diet I didn't really get bloated like I used to and the period itself wasn't as bad as it has been in the past. You can also try challenging it again at a later point to see if you can have some 5% of the time.
