Got out for a run once last week. Didn't get out there today as I had to deal with a dying friend, a major fire and avoiding the aftermath of an unattended death in my apartment building. Yikes! Hope to get a run in tomorrow though.
In the past week, they have started up 2 pool classes in my community pool. M & TH at 9:00. T & W at 8:00. Love the TW class because I get up there and finish before the sun gets up too high. So there's a new choice when I don't have doctor appointments. I'd better start scheduling them between 11 and 4 when the sun is at its worst.
Good for you!! In a few minutes, I'm on my way up to the pool again. I'm feeling tired, and would like to stay right here in my recliner. I'm going to add your line to my argument I have with my self. "You know you love the pool. It's only 45 minutes of treading water. No big deal!"
Yesterday my feet hurt and I was close to skip my 10 minutes of low impact cardio. I pushed myself to do it although I was complaining all the time. When I finished, I felt that it wasn't a big deal, after all.

Well I can honestly say I haven't done this challenge. I have done nothing BUT swim, tread water, water aerobics, and walk. Unless you can count that morning of spring cleaning and the other of planting my veggie transplants, but the planting wasn't much of a cardio, perhaps toning or strength.
And tomorrow, the plan is for more of the same, except I'm going to the Y for their aqua zumba and water aerobics class. That WILL be different even though it's in the water, because the instructors are more demanding than I am when left to my own devices..
My program needs a complete overhaul. Trying to examine one thing at a time to see where I need to make changes. Now that the weather is getting nicer again, my goal is to go for a walk outside (with my dog) 6 times a week, weather permitting of course. (Weather hasn't cooperated the last 2 days, unfortunately).

My challenge for April is to keep doing what I'm doing - upped my daily exercise from a minimum of 10 minutes to a minimum of 45 minutes. If possible I'll make that 60 minutes per day. Another goal is to do strength training at least twice, preferably 3 times a week for 10 minutes or more.
I am definitely in a comfortable rut, fitness wise. There is nothing wrong with walking and swimming-water aerobics-treading water. But Coach Nicole says our bodies get used to the everyday pattern and I need to change things up.
So my personal challenge is going to be to post here when I manage to do something besides walk, swim, tread water, or water aerobics.
