I was at a conference from last Thursday morning until I flew home yesterday. I'm pretty proud that I took my fitness DVDs and worked out in the hotel every day. Some days I worked out more than others, but I did at least a little something every day. I also logged my food every day (watching what I eat contributes WAY more to weight loss than fitness for me). I was over my calorie budget a bit every day, but I burned at least as much as I ate (I have a BodyBugg). I got back late last night, and weighed myself this morning and I've lost 1 pound in the past week (not bad for eating conference buffets for most of that week and given the fact that I normally gain when traveling!)

I usually let these kinds of trips derail my goals -- I figure "its a vacation, I should eat whatever I want. Let's take the time off from exercise, I'll pick back up when I get home." Unfortunately, about the time I get going again, its time to go out of town again, or there's a holiday, birthday, or some other excuse. I'm pretty happy that I didn't totally "suffer" but I also didn't let my time out of town be a setback either!
