2013 goals:
1) tighten the belt buckle 1 notch by the time the kids come home from college (mid-May)
2) be able to do 20 consecutive full-body push-ups by June 1
3) improve my flexibility - i.e. be able to touch my toes without warming up
4) get Hubby to buy into the healthy eating - more fish/fewer burgers; more veg; fewer desserts.

My 2013 goal is to lose 22 lbs. before my next doctor checkup in July 2013.
My doctor is totally fine with my current weight and he isn't optimistic about my being able to lose anything more, so I am motivated to prove him wrong.

My Goals for 2013:

1. Drink 8-8oz glasses of water a day
2. Reduce the amount of added sugar I eat
3. Exercise at least 6 days a week
4. Run 1 5K with my husband and keep up with him
5. Run 1 10K for me.

These are lofty goals but with SP and God all things are possible.

I am willing to go slow and steady to lose this weight for good.... Be healthy, Happy and just plain positive about life.

just joined 1/25/13. I'm turning 51 in a few weeks and this site felt like a good fit for my goals for the new year..and for the rest of my life. I have 47 pounds to lose, I want to become a runner, and I want to "eat well-move more-live longer"! I like the quote I read yesterday: "Strong is what happens when you run out of Weak." 1. Workout 5 - 6 days per week, incorporating cardio, weight training and yoga into my daily routine.
2. Cut out fast food, sugar, and diet coke from my diet.

4. Manage stress.
5. Sleep better.

2013 is my year!!

I hope to lose 47 pounds! With a July goal.
I want to exercise 4 days a week - 3 of those doing cardio workouts on the eliptical and 1 day playing volleyball!
I want to be more aware of what I am putting into my body and to make smart food choices.
My hope is that by doing this I can keep on top of my depression and feel good all the time...and finally stop being scared to death of standing on a scale!

I am a returning Sparker, and I am sure if I keep it up, I will be able to achieve weight loss.
My goals are:

*Exercise 5 times a day (at least 3 of those times be Zumba).
*Think of the positive in things, instead of finding the negative.
*Eat more fruits and veggies.
*Always take my thyroid meds.... never forget. :)

I don't have water on here because that is all I drink, minus the occasional juice or milk. :) I will add the mobile app to help, and I recently joined a family gym.

Always find the positive in everything.

1. Weight loss: 50lbs this year sounds reasonable, I'd love to say 100 but I'm shooting for 50
2. Fitness: I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to be able to swim a mile non stop front crawl by this time next year

I am ready to believe in myself and get healthy. My 2013 goals, first is to lose 100 pounds the right way.. slow and steady :). second to become more confident in myself and kick the fear of failing to the curb and lastly to complete a 5k run with my daughter.

Hi Team. Returning Sparker climbing back on board.

Current weight loss goal is to reach 222 from 245. April 2013 hopeful.
Eventually reach 135 again. That goal's for later.
Fitness goals: Do 10 Minutes Eliptical daily initially.
Add Yoga stretches and walking over next 2-3 weeks.
Nutrition: Track calories daily. Stay on course 4-5 days weekly.
Enjoy the Spark experience easier this time around.

Hello Everyone! I am back her on SP after a few years off and gaining back my weight and then some. Here are my goals:

1. Weight loss: get to 130 pounds
2. Fitness: Exercise 6 days per week, Start running again, Run a 5 K again
3. Nutrition: eat 1200-1500 calories per day, stay under 2000 mg of sodium per day, eat as clean as I can handle
4. Other: finish my Bachelor of Science degree, get a new job!
