I like that because I personally can not tolerate eating every few hours, even though "experts' keep recommending it to me because of my gastro-intestinal and slow metabolism issues...it's glad to know that you are doing well and only eat twice a day...

I do better fasting in the morning with just my coffee (I get up at 4:30 to hit the gym at 5). Then eating a couple of hours later my first meal. I did bulletproof coffee this morning and I felt great!

Because I've had to re-start introducing proteins in my diet, right now the only really tolerable protein I can eat is fish and eggs, so for the time being I'm eating tilapia, salmon, and tuna and have eggs in the morning...Chicken and beef I can only tolerate early in the day and in very small amounts...very hard for me to digest them as well as pork...

I usually get up before 4:00AM, adding fats to my coffee works well as an early breakfast, and then almost by lunch time I have a delayed meal of sorts. I truly love coconut oil and cream combination with a bit of flavorings added with stevia, like a yummy treat. Keeps me going and as well provides me with fat burning fat.

I have been actually eating breakfast for lunch, having eggs and more coconut oil with a few greens/vegetables in a form of an omelet. So in reality I am only eating two meals, which helps me meet my calorie needs without going over.

Glad to see you here and sharing. Have a amazing day!

Wow, never heard of this until reading this blog...it was the afternoon and I couldn't wait until tomorrow morning so I tried it. All I had was butter and I thought it would taste funny but it was really good! And I was going through the 3o'clock afternoon cravings and it stopped it immediately! I am going to get coconut oil tomorrow and adding it as well.

I love how this Team has grown since I was last here...there was only a handful of us...it's awesome! :)

I add that combination to my herbal teas as well. It is OK to me and I enjoy the build in lip balm it provides as well. LOL

I'm baby stepping into BPC. I don't do caffeine as it bothers my heart so I used decaf. I started with some heavy cream in decaf last week and today I've used 1 Tbsp of butter and 1/2 Tbsp of coconut oil. I don't want any stomach upset or diarrhea....lol. I did add a few drops of Stevia. It wasn't too bad. I plan on drinking maybe 12 ozs a day as I'm not really into coffee that much but love that it's an easy way to get in some fat.

I usually have 2 T of butter per cup and a couple cups a day. But I watch my calories since I am doing that. I have started losing again since I started doing this!

I love heavy cream but it seemed to be causing me to stall. I have never tried coconut oil or anything yet. Since I started using butter I have started losing weight again.

Hi Everyone,
I am brand new here, but not new to keto type of eating. So I thought I would just jump in.

Each morning I add to my coffee, this mixture I make up;
I use a wine craft with lid;
Heavy dairy cream and coconut cream (from the bottom side of your canned coconut milk) I use a 6:1 ratio. So with a half cup of coconut cream I add 3 cups dairy cream.
Stevia to taste ( I like my sweet)
Vanilla bean (opened and scrapped out, I toss the pod in too).
Give it a vigorous shake and add to my favorite fresh ground bean coffee.
This helps me make that intermit fast of 16 hours. Check mates my leptin.

Hi, I am new to this team but have recently started using butter in my coffee rather than heavy whipping cream. That is all I put in because I really don't care for sweet coffee, I don't have any and probably won't buy the other stuff to put in it. I was beginning to think that the cream was causing my weight stall. Well I am much more focused now on my HFLCMP eating plan and upping my fat and trying to keep my calories a bit lower. I have been losing weight since I started using the butter in the coffee. I tried my immersion blender and had coffee everywhere even while trying to be careful. Now I just put the butter in the bottom of a medium tal cup, add part of the cup of coffee, whip it with a fork and then add the rest of the cup of coffee. It stays mixed pretty well.

Hi. I'm new here and relatively new to my restricted ketogenic diet (about 1 month now) but I've found bulletproof coffee a great way to get all my fats in.
I've been using 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil in about 12oz of decaf coffee. I'm not supposed to have caffeine so it is better for me to use Teecino which comes in delicious flavors but adds carbs (teecino.com).
Here's my secret: I got one of those little, battery operated milk frothers ($14) and I keep frothing it so it doesn't separate.
Hint: Don't try this while driving. emoticon

It's funny you mention the stevia. I happen to have had some in my pantry today (vanilla), added the butter, the MCT oil (only 1 tbsp of each this time "only" ha!) a few drops of the vanilla stevia and some cinnamon. It was a LITTLE better but oh man, don't let it get the least bit chillly. I had to gag the rest of it down lol. I'm not sure if I'm just looking for something, but I do feel more energetic in the mornings, but if (big if) I'm going to keep trying it, I'm going to have to add the full 2 tbsp I think as I was hungry about an hour and a half afterwards. It's a process, right? Lol. Thanks for the tip though! :)

Hi, Katie! Welcome to the Team! I am new too and have been having a hard time as well. I have heard about the bulletproof coffee but am not a coffee drinker so haven't tried it. The thought of drinking butter makes me gag.

Its all a learning process though! Each day does get a little easier.

I am ordering something this week called Ez-Sweetz.It is liquid stevia from what I understand and a couple drops is sufficient for most uses and has no carbs. Maybe that would help with the coffee?

Best of luck! Keep us updated.

See....I forget that you wouldn't know what my "normal" meals are...LOL I've been low carb for about 4 years now and have been gluten free for two years. Meatballs for dinner are normal for me! LOL BUT, to get extra fat, I will usually do something like add coconut oil to a bowl of ground beef. Sometimes I don't want to eat that and just want my ground beef "normal" or plain, so I will just drink my coconut oil. ...giggle....sorry about that!

"Normal meals" are what got me to where I am in the first place lol. I need to find a new normal. Just can't go with what I've had so far today me thinks. Maybe do something differently tomorrow to make it work better for me. One day at a time right? I know I have these AMAZING meatballs I made last night for dinner tonight which I'm looking forward to lol. Food le sigh. Thank you for the encouragement though. It is MUCH appreciated.

You can do this! There are lots of yummy ways to get your fat in though. Sometimes when I just want to eat "normal" meals, I will melt some coconut oil in a bowl and drink it, just to get my fat intake up!

OK. Maybe I'll try it with some stevia tomorrow. There are so many positives and I did feel energized once I choked it down (I love my coffee in the morning, I hate that I choked down that first cup) was ok. This first day on my LCHF day has not been great. It's been tasteless. I've got to do better if I have any hopes of sticking to it lol. Thanks for the help though!!!!

Hello-

I attempted my first bulletproof coffee this morning to get my fats in. I LOVE coffee. Most of all, I love sweetner. With all the information on the products and boards and blah blah blah, I expected it to be tolerable. It was NOT. I'm not sure if I did it wrong, but I put 1 tbsp. of butter, 1 tbsp. of MCT oil and cocoa powder (cuz I love me some sweet stuffs). Yuck. I drank it all but gross. Any suggestions/ideas/ what's worked for you in the past? I need some serious help or this is NOT going to work for me.

Thanks!!!!

Katie :)
